About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Safari380298614200 contributionsGreat tourGreat time Syril was very informative and fun. He took us to all the places we wanted to see. Highly recommend. His vehicle was clean and he was polite.Written 25 January 2025
- Karen F0 contributionsEnjoyable, informative tourGregory was friendly, gracious and informative. We got to see all the sights we wanted to. By the end he was a friend not just a tour guide.Written 23 January 2025
- gabriellag7110 contributionsStraightforward and no frills tour.We had a pleasant drive around the island and we were taken to the 3 major points as described. Our driver was very courteous and the car was clean and well Maintained with good air conditioning. The island is small, so you do get a good glimpse of it in the 3 1/2 hour experience. Some opportunities for improvement could be to maybe give the drivers more information about the island and maybe a small drive around the downtown area pointing at the cathedral, that we saw on the distance, he did mention some government buildings as we passed them, but maybe more context on the day to day. All my questions were answered, and so our tour was fun and efficient and not filled with stories or chatter. (But I do enjoy stories and chit chat)… Also maybe include some water for the passengers- in other similar tours, the tourists are offered water, beer or a rum cocktail- it does improve the experience. The best spot was the Nelson Dockyards! This is a small spot but it’s very appealing- they serve a very good rum punch (or just fruit punch) that other tours included. We had to pay $6 each. We felt odd because we were told to follow this other tour group, we’re given no ticket, and that tour group ended at the pub with the rum and they all had their tickets… so when it was our turn, it was just off. When I asked our driver, he said he gave our ticket to the other tour guide, but we sat with her (after purchasing our rum) and she had no tickets for us. Just strange. But the rum punch was good! 😊 Also the bakery there was recommended for their crusty pastry: good prices and a good lunch snack stop. Hope this helps others! Enjoy.Written 23 January 2025

- noahbB8789LK0 contributionsAn excellent experience learning about the history, culture, flora, and fauna of AntiguaIt was a wonderful experience, our guide/driver was courteous, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about not only the history and culture of the island, but also filled us in on details of numerous native plants and animals. Pointing them out and even making extra stops so we could see things like mango trees, papaya trees, turpentine and mahogany and many more. The places we visited were excellent and the views were absolutely stunning. Don’t hesitate to book.Written 28 December 2024
- 392RichardB0 contributionsA comprehensive and informative tourA comprehensive and interesting tour from Michael, a born and bred Antiguan, whose encyclopedic knowledge of the island enabled us to learn and appreciate the island so much more. We were with Michael for over 5 hours, visiting a number of local landmarks and points of interest. We would probably have preferred one or two more stops to stretch our legs but that is only a small complaint.Written 27 December 2024
- H2337HSmichellel0 contributionsNice resort…hoping for better customer service. Too many room service issues and slow responses and/or resolutions.Great resort, nice people however customer service can be improved. Not sure why there’s so much disconnection when customers report housekeeping issues. Additionally, I’m not sure why no compensation whatsoever is offered when errors by the resort have occurred. If daily fees are charged pp, when acacia not adequately provided fee should be waived for that day.Written 22 December 2024
- Y8975WVjeffo0 contributionsAntigua Island TourDecent overview of the island from Gregory, but he was not as engaging or passionate as other guides we've previously had on tours.Written 3 December 2024
- CGHaffner0 contributionsBrilliant Antigua in one tour!Great tour! Benjamin was brilliant. From the moment he picked us up at the hotel until he dropped us back he was friendly, entertaining, knowledgeable and did everything he could to maximise our enjoyment of the tour. The tour itself was very interesting and informative, and it provided a great experience of Antigua.Written 2 December 2024
- SuzyH6360 contributionsHistorical island tourCyril was a great tour guide and gave us a thorough tour of the island and so entertaining with a very infectious laugh, a real asset to the company. Would definitely recommend the tour company to anyoneWritten 30 November 2024
- Frank F0 contributionsExperience the soul of Antigua in four hours!Excellent host and guide. Showed true Antiguan hospitality! Great at adjusting the tour to individual visitors. His hostorical background was amazing.Written 21 November 2024
- EdMotion0 contributionsPoor attitude tour guide just for me!1. First, the guide/driver arrives more than 30 mins late. I was okay with that as this was a holiday and I was excited to learn more about the country. Also, he had called ahead to the hotel. 2. After hopping on board, I started asking him a lot of questions about his country. But he was so condescending after a few questions that I told him to send me back if he didn’t like having me as a guest. He said he gets great reviews on TripAdvisor but I told him I am not his preferred tourist so please send me back. He changed his tone after that but I totally stopped asking him any questions because he really did not know anything. I resorted to checking on wikipedia on my phone. 3. He kept driving past by statutes and churches but not giving me any time to take photos even from the car. As we passed by Sir Vivian Richards statute, and he told me who he was, I told him I want to take picture and he he said “sorry I can’t slow down”. After he did that several times I told him I hardly got a single picture in this drive by tour! 4. Towards the end he tried to tell me I needed to tip him because he was giving me more time, which considering the delay was only 15 mins. At the same time he kept hurryibg me at every site. I refused and said goodbye. Looks like I wasn’t entitled to the same level of courtesy as his other guests.Written 31 October 2024
- joycerK79YR0 contributionsStunning AntiguaCyril was an extremely interesting guide. His knowledge of Antigua was boundless. Our tour lasted 4 hours and we believe we saw and heard enough to feel adequately educated about this stunning island. Excellent tour all round.Written 20 October 2024
- I7319HWbethr0 contributionsTHOROUGH ISLAND TOUR!My husband and I enjoyed a private tour with Vernon in a very comfortable, clean air-conditioned vehicle and he went ALL around the island, hitting every hot spot and sharing personal experiences and island history. Very informative and he's got the narrative voice of Earl Jones! Gave us extra time and answered all of our many, many questions; he is a very patient man. He showed up on time to our resort and made sure everything was in order. At each stop, he let us know exactly how much time we had and what would be best to do, but also allowed time for some quick shopping at local vendors on-site. He's the best! Take this tour if you want to see the ENTIRE island and learn about history and local culture.Written 18 October 2024

Benjamin was a joy to tour with. You could tell he was passionate about showing off his home island. He tailored our tour to our interests and showed us highlights as well as hidden gems all over the island. A very comprehensive tour. He had plenty of snacks and drinks for us and even helped us find a rare Wadadli beer. Benjamin helped us understand and appreciate Antigua much better. We got more than our money’s worth. Highly recommend.

This was such a great, relaxing and personalized tour. Michael picked us up right from our hotel lobby and the tour immediately began. We learned so much about the island, it's culture and saw quite a bit of the main sites. The tour was just the right length, we saw much for the car, and when there was time to see more, we got out and dived deeper into this islands heritage. Thank you Michael for a great half day tour, thank you for sharing your knowledge, for the drinks, the mango and pineapple and your time during this tour. I appreciated doing this early in our trip as I learned more about the island what else to do while we were there. Thank you.

This review may seem a bit harsh but the important thing is it's completely accurate. About the only thing truthful about the description of this tour is the length...3.5 hours. The description says you visit three sites...Betty's Hope, Devil's Bridge and Shirley Heights.....we visited only one of these, Devil's Bridge. This was a huge disappointment as we really wanted to see Shirley Heights!
Of the 3.5 hours, approximately 3 hours of this was spent riding in the vehicle....I understand that it may take some time to get to places but this is not my idea of a worthwhile experience. Michael was a friendly tour guide and he did pick us up at our hotel on time. During our lengthy ride he tells you things about the flora and fauna that you will see and about the island's history and culture....some of this was interesting and some not so much.
During our drive our tour guide did offer us something to drink which we declined and some fresh pineapple which we did enjoy but eating it from a plastic container while riding in the vehicle seemed a little weak to me. Why not establish some kind of relationship with one of the many fruit stands you see along the way....stop there for a few minutes for a fruit snack and maybe even some rum punch and have some interaction with the local people. That would be a lot more memorable experience.
My other suggestions for improvement would be to rewrite the tour description to ensure its accuracy and to be honest you should refund me for one adult fare because what we received for almost $200 was extremely disappointing! We were the only people on this tour so I felt somewhat obligated to tip Michael but it wasn't justified.

Hi, I tried to visit Dows hill recently and it was closed. Are the attractions open/open for groups? If I were to book this tour I want to make sure it is all still included because because of Corona and the new restrictions. Thanks
