About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- DannyBM0 contributionsTerrible tourI did the free walking tour. I left this tour feeling I knew close to nothing of the history of the city and its specific buildings. The guide knew very little and if I asked questions she would refer to google. Only afterwards would I eavesdrop on other tours and speak to other tourists did I realise how basic and terrible my tour was. I had to do another tour with another company and it was like day and night.Written 17 July 2024
- vegetarian-girl0 contributionsRoyal walk tourMy husband & I did the Royal walk free tour exploring the old town. We liked our guide & found the tour interesting & informative. But I am giving the experience 4 stars because I want to flag a restaurant she recommended called U Fleku which we almost went to but decided against after reading the numerous bad reviews on TripAdvisor. She had forewarned us to decline shots that would circulate which was helpful. But multiple reviews complained of other problems they encountered as well. I normally take the advice of well-meaning guides but I realize now it is important to do your own research.Written 23 April 2024

- Shazzerooney0 contributionsOverall a good tripOverall this is a recommended tour, we booked with Prague Bus Tours. I have knocked off a couple of marks because there was hotel pick up and they never told us what time so we had missed breakfast because they came at 8.15am when paperwork said 9.00am, we then sat on the bus for half an hour at Prague Station waiting for another bus. The buses were small and very comfortable, Vera the guide was multi lingual and very knowledgeable and interesting, the guide at Terezin was good also, definitely a place to visit, shocking what happened. The tour and museums ended at about 2pm, there had only been a couple of vending machines for snacks and drinks so we were all very hungry. Even though the bus picked us up at the hotel they only drop back off at Prague Station and BEWARE if you decide to use the metro, see my review on Prague metro or it could cost you, get an uber back to your hotel!Written 23 February 2023

Mareken our guide was amazing he gave us loads of facts about the concentration camp and what those poor people endured. We next visited the crematorium where thousands of Jews had been cremated. We visited inside and could see where the bodies had post mortems, embalmed and burned. We then visited the museum this is well worth a visit. There is a 15 minutes showing of the concentration camp and what went on.Written 23 March 2022

He dumped us out on the street and we had to ask for directions from people walking around. We finally made it down to the docks where it was very dark and we felt unsafe. There were no signs as we ran up and down asking for the cruise. There was no boat to be found. Very poorly written directions. Would not advise if you don't know the area.Written 29 November 2021

My wife and I went on this tour having as we always do booked it via Trip Adviser before we left home. I can say that we were not disappointed it was a brilliant tour which took over 7 hours and included an hour long train ride and a lunch that was both tasty and such good value for money. The tour guide was a young man who obviously new his history and who made the whole day interesting. The train journey we were told would be on old Communist rolling stock, well the carriage we were in was both comfortable and clean and warm and far better than some of the trains I've been on on the UK. The actual visit to the church and cemetery was something that we have never seen before everything in the church was made from old bones and skulls and work is still continuing but it was fascinating nevertheless. You do a fair amount of walking but the tour passed so quickly. I would recommend that you visit during the month of March because in the busy season I can imagine that there would be queues. So thank you Discover Prague Tours and the guide Uria (I think that was his name) I can certainly recommend you.

Great tour. Lots of things to see and worth the trip. You are not allowed to take pics at the Sedlec Ossuary bone Church, but of course everyone does. It is disingenuous for them to say no pics because its "disrespectful" but they have the pics on their IG and dont seem to have a problem charging for entry. So, take the pics. :)
St. Barbara's was gorgeous as well.

Fantastic trip to Kutná Hora! Ilja was a wonderful guide and shared lots of historical information in an engaging way. He answered all of the questions our group had! The food at the restaurant was delicious... great choice for a lunch stop! I really enjoyed this tour as a solo traveler and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to take a day trip from Prague.

It was worth the tour just to have someone help taking the train from Prague to Kutna Hora.. The train system in Czech is a bit daunting for first-timers… Otherwise it would’ve been better if the tour guide just took us from place to place and let us explore on our own. For example I think too much time was spent in that big church (not the bone church), and I’ve would’ve instead rather just explored Kutna Hora on my own.
Also, to our tour guide, food was an after thought. We should’ve been offered the chance to get a meal right when we arrived in Kutna Hora. Instead we became very hungry and only had a little time to find food at the end of the tour just before we had to catch the train back to Prague.
If you need someone help you buy train tickets and get you to and from Kutna Hora, *maybe* take this tour… Otherwise just figure it out yourself, and you can prob have a better time exploring on your own terms.

The place itself is breathtakingly stunning. One of a kind and one must visit. However the tour guide would explain the details relevant and irrelevant in the cold. With a 50 people group, it was sometimes hard to hear what the guide said. But again, if i hadnt visited Kutna Hora it would be a big miss. If you break for lunch, do get the mulled wine from Cafe 21, it was my warmest time spend during the whole tour. And the mom and daughter who run the cafe where the kindest folks in town :)

What a fantastic tour with David son of David from Colorado!
Myself and my wife joined David our tour guide and other tourists for this very informative and fun visit to Kutna Hora which included a visit to the bone chapel.
David was knowledgeable, funny and engaging. His story telling of the history of the area and chapel was so interesting that you couldn't wait for the history lesson to continue whilst you walked from one area to another.
The restaurant we stopped at was welcoming and traditional with the hostesses wearing national dress.
The beer was good too!
All in all we absolutely enjoyed this walking tour and made friends along the way.
Thank you Discover Prague tours..and
David, we thank you for a great day.

I almost feel like we didn't get the right tour, but I know we did... There was virtually no structure at all to this day. We started in Old Towne and got some fun facts, the guide was honestly lovely, but then the day took a dive. We got virtually no time to explore the Bone Church, but yet St Barbara's Church left everyone in the group bored and leaving to get home on their own, hungry for a promised lunch that never materialized, or sitting in the pews wondering if we had been left behind. It was such a strange day. We definitely felt like we could have done better on our own. There were obviously some cool sites to go explore but unfortunately we felt like we missed most of them.

The trip was very well organised and good value for money. The train trip was efficient and comfortable. Our guide Petra was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and added so much extra information about Czech history and society. The lunch restaurant was excellent and we were able to pre order during the train journey, this was very efficiently organised.
Petra was probably one of the best tour guides we have encountered and her depth of knowledge and excellent communication skills added greatly to our enjoyment of the day.

This was a great tour with a great guide (Petra). Petra is incredibly well versed in the history of Prague in general and Kutna Hora specifically. She kept the group organized, the day was well paced and the place we stoped for lunch was amazing (not the typical tourist trap restaurant that you go to on a lot of these types of tours). Very glad I decided to take this last minute excursion while I was in Prague.

We decided to use the services provided by Discover Prague Tours Agency in order to visit Kutna Hora and Sedlec Ossuary. For sure was one of our best decision during our trip to Prague.
Our guide was Dave, Colorado – Dave he stressed … there is another guide named Dave in the same agency. Dave proved to be an excellent guide who knew how to keep awake the interest of a group with very different people and from almost everywhere to the places seen. He organized very well the train transportation to Kutna Hora and back to Prague, the tour itself in Kutna Hora and Sedlec, and our lunch at a very nice restaurant. Dave gave us very interesting information about the events of the past that marked the places visited as well as about the lives and concerns of the people back then.
If our trip to Kutna Hora and Sedlec Ossuary was a successful one, that's what we owe to our guide and the professional way he did his job.

The tour operators in Prague are quite professional and if you have booked in advance for your selected date, you should be ok. We went on a day trip to Karlovy Vary and my husband and I were the only tourists. They still took us and did everything they were supposed to do.

The day we went on this tour, there had been a disruption in train service, word was a tree fell on train track and things would be delayed so our tour guide arranged for all of us to transfer on another route/station and I am quite certain we still made it back within 10 mins of our original schedule. Definitely around 5pm. Always an adventure and so glad to have had our guide with us to figure out best way to get us back in time.
