The right guide makes all the difference, and Vadim is the BEST!
This was the very best tour we have ever been on! Vadim was an amazing guide, and kept myself and my 15 year old son engaged and fascinated the whole time. His knowledge was extensive, and the interesting facts he shared about Prague's history brought the city to life. I highly recommend booking this tour. My only regret is that we did the tour at the end of our trip instead of the beginning. We were disappointed we didn't get to explore the city with the perspective that Vadim shared. We'll just have to go back. P.S. We loved the tour so much, we booked one with Insight Cities Vienna right after. 5 stars for that one, too!

Don't hesitate to book with Insight Cities!
We had a great experience with Bonita and Vadim. We joined Vadim for a behind the ropes visit to the Strahov Library before meeting up with Bonita for a tour of the castle complex. They are both such amazing guides--so engaging and interesting-- we wished we could have spent all of our time in Prague with them! I am confident that any tour with them would be amazing and I look forward to booking with them again.

Cesky Krumlov: Trip of a lifetime
The tour was absolutely fantastic and amazing. Our group was picked up from Prague. Our guides, Vod and Esther were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. The drive to Cesky was also a treat because we received a prelude of what was to come. If you are looking for adventure, a different experience, and good food, this is the tour. We enjoyed the shopping, cafes, and learning about Cesky history. Very interesting. I highly recommend the Cesky Krumlov tour with Insight Cities Prague. It is good for all ages. You will not be disappointed. Book today!

Great time with Vadim, the books and the beer
Vadim was an excellent guide and we had a great time on our tour! The libraries at Strahov are breathtaking, well worth the trip out there. I felt quite special being able to walk around the room, walk right up to the books and look at them while guests without the special access could only take pictures from either end. Vadim’s commentary made it come alive even more, he really did a wonderful job of explaining the context of the library’s creation. Even my father, who claims to know everything, admitted he learned a few new things - a true miracle. And the beer was excellent! The conversation flowed freely between the three of us and it was overall an enjoyable experience.

Outstanding overview of Prague in 3 hours
Ian Nascimento of Context Travel did an outstanding job as our tour guide. In just 3 hours he touched on all the important highlights. His knowledge of the rich history of Prague was evident and his ability to communicate and share his knowledge was greatly appreciated. If you are looking for a great and interesting overview of Prague this is the tour for you and Ian is the perfect tour guide

    Beer over books
Library at the monestary is not worth the price. You can only look into the library from behind a barrier. Beer is good, caution the pub fills up early.

    Absolutety Wonderful
Highly recommend this tour and Insight Cities. Vadim was a fantastic guide - interesting, personable and knowledgeable. The libraries were stunning and as a private tour, it was lovely to get that space and peace. Beer was great too! Enjoyed this one so much, booked other Insight Cities tours in Vienna and Budapest. Bonita was the so incredibly helpful in organising these.

    Prague with Vadim
We toured Prague with the intro tour with Vadim, and he was so good we came back for the Power, Glory, and Destruction tour the next day. He combined facts and anecdotes in a way that made the tours both informative and memorable. My understanding of Prague history is so much deeper now — definitely recommend!!

Enriching Tour of Prague for Art, History, and Beer Lovers
A fascinating experience! We are so glad that we stepped away from the main tourist attractions, and experienced the rich history of Prague with our guide Matous! Mat was incredibly informative, and we enjoyed his commentary on the monasteries and breweries. The perfect tour for beer, art, and history lovers. We truly felt like this tour enriched our time in Prague!

    Best Prague Guide
Vadim, our guide, was one of the best guides we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is very knowledgeable and extremely generous with his time. His explanations of the castle complex and St. Vitus Cathedral made it all come alive for us. The time spent with Vadim made our time in Prague a true pleasure. By ourselves we could not have gotten to appreciate the complex nearly as much as we did. I can't praise him enough!

Amazing Tour of Prague Castle Complex
We toured the Prague Castle Complex with Vadim, and he was amazing! He was interesting and informative, and he knew the best times to tour each sight so we were never in large crowds. He answered every question we asked and some we didn't ask. The complex is large, and we would have missed so much if we went by ourselves.

Great tour of central Prague architecture
This tour was very cool. Vadim’s knowledge of Prague’s architectural history is impressive and he made the various buildings we visited really come alive. I especially liked how he could position us to see how older and newer buildings spoke to each other in terms of their characteristics. Even for people who know Prague well (I lived there for five years), he was able to bring new perspectives to well-known places, such as the murals inside the main post office depicting the history of communication. Highly recommended!

He had a deep knowledge of Prague, its history and Czech culture more generally. The tour is a truely unique and an exceptional way to see the city and highly reccomended. Vadim was an exceptionally fun and informative guide. He helped to explain what cubism, art nouveau and art deco meant, how to spot it, but also these art styles impact on both Prague, Czech, and human society and culture.

It uncovered a whole new way to see and explore the city whilst giving really deep insight into its past , present and future. Really one of a kind and a must for anyone who wants a deeper engagement with the city

Thanks so much for the enthusiastic review. It means a lot to our whole team of historian guides at Insight Cities during this tough time when the pandemic has impacted our industry so much. I miss giving my tour of Prague's astonishing Renaissance and Baroque gardens! Thankfully, we're starting to see some local and European travelers again just this week. Hoping to see you again in the future on Insight Cities tours in Prague and our other cities in Central Europe.

We got to see wonderful examples of Art Nouveau architecture and design all around central Prague. Our tour guide was terrific at showing us the different places. However, she didn't provide quite as much in depth information about what we were seeing or about city history and context, and our efforts to ask more questions were not successful. Still, overall, I am very glad we did it.

We thank Vadim for an excellent “short course” on Prague’s Art Nouveau and Cubist heritage! It was a wonderful view of Prague architecture and helped us understand more of the city history. We were thrilled with the knowledge and passion that Vadim shared! We were inspired!! Please tell him we did walk to ‘The Dancing House’ and explored the hidden stage at our hotel. We highly recommend this educational tour!

This was the most informative tour I've been on which is especially important to me because I already know Prague fairly well. Our guide, Bonita, was well versed not just in the architecture but also the historical and cultural forces that shaped the art deco and art nouveau movements. I only hope that I can remember everything I learned!

We loved this tour. Bonita was incredibly knowledgeable and we appreciated her ability to tie together the design and architectural elements we saw with contemporaneous events. We've been to Prague, so we know that she pointed out things (like an intricate bas-relief) that get skipped over by many tours. If you're like me, a quickie tour is fine for getting your bearings, but you'll then want to go deeper, and Insight is an excellent way to do that.

This was a really great way to spend a couple of hours wandering around the most interesting architecture. Vadim was very knowledgeable and very courteous. He took us into some great places not otherwise accessible via tourist guides, and was able to set his knowledge into the context of our understanding and perspectives of art, architecture and history.

Vad is an excellent guide. His knowledge gave us great historical and cultural context for the architecture we looked at. We saw amazing buildings including some lesser known ones. There were opportunities for bathroom stops en route, which was greatly appreciated. I would have liked a little more of the cubist over the nouveau, but that is a minor quibble. Highly recommended.
