Our tour with Vadim felt more like a pleasant walk through the city with a really smart and fun friend. First of all- the itinerary of the tour was great, it allowed us a private viewing of a library at Strahov monastery which alone was worth the cost of the tour, and everything else was a bonus. The tour included a pit stop at a brewery, which was a nice break and ability to have another interesting and informative conversation. We were offered a couple of alternatives for the rest of the tour and we picked the one that worked for us, and we are so happy we did, it was great. Vadim is a great guide, very knowledgeable about art, history, full of fun anecdotes about Prague and it’s amazing history. The tour ended up being longer and we loved every minute of it. This tour is a MUST for anyone visiting Prague regardless of how long or short your stay is. This is the second tour we took with Insight Cities Prague and both tours were of the hightest quality.

Thanks so much for the enthusiasm. I cannot tell you how exciting it is for Vadim, me, and our whole network of great guides to be enjoying helping travelers explore our wonderful cities again after this long global ordeal. Vadim had a lot of fun with your group. We hope to see you on Insight Cities tours again in Prague, Berlin, Vienna, Budapest, Salzburg or Live Stream! Thanks again.

I have passed by the Strahov Monastery many times, but this was the first time I went inside. Thanks to this private tour we had a chance to access the monastery library which is not usually open to visitors. That sense of exclusivity was one of the highlights of this tour. After admiring the vast book collection, we had the chance to try some beer produced in the monastery. The tour continued at the Brevnov Monastery where a local monk showed us around the church and took us to the Roman crypt below it! We saw stunning frescoes in both monasteries and Vadim told us all about the allegories depicted in them which we wouldn't have known otherwise. To wrap up, we had another beer tasting session with 9 beers from the monastery brewery, paired with some traditional Czech treats. If you want to access some of Prague's Baroque hidden gems while tasting the local cuisine, this is the tour for you!

It was lovely to have you on our tours in the past week and thanks for the reviews. It feels great to me and Vadim and our whole team of historian guides to see some tours happening again as things begin to open up from the Covid-19 lockdown in our cities. Hope to see you on Insight Cities other tours!

Vadim (the owner of Insight Cities Tours) was the best tour guide we've had. He grew up in Los Angeles so his english and understanding of Americans was excellent. We had a small group and all became friends by the end. The Strahov Library is absolutely amazing. 20,000 manuscripts dating back to the 900's. We were in awe to be among so many rare and valuable books. Vadim's knowledge and affection for these wonderful pieces of history was infectious. We all ending up having a unique appreciation for the monastery and it's collection. Then over beers we all became good friends, sharing stories of family and our past. We highly recommend this tour.

This is a fantastic tour. In the monastery we were able to have a private access to its stunning library rooms. We had plenty of time for viewing the space and could take plenty of photographs. Vadim is entertaining and knowledgeable speaker and described the space with a wonderful detail. We were amazed at the beauty of the space and all the information Vadim shared with us.
Visit to the monastery's brewery was so lovely and fun. Bonita shared many interesting facts whilst we were sampling beer, it was perfect ending to this remarkable tour.

This was such an amazing (informative, inspiring, fun) experience. My husband and I had been on the public, self-guided tour at the Strahov Monastery Library in the past. But this! This was really something else. The opportunity to step *inside* the library is a very special one, and our tour guide Vadim was both knowledgeable and very friendly. We got an in-depth exploration of the frescoes in the library and enjoyed a fantastic beer in the monastery brewery.

The next stop was the Brevnov Monastery, and it was a treat to get outside the city center and the usual tourist stops. It was like stepping back in time! Our additional guide — Father Josef — was a delight. So charming and sweet and welcoming. The crypt under the church in the monastery is fascinating. And then, again, we relaxed in the monastery brewery with another delicious local beer.

Vadim is an excellent guide, and throughout the afternoon, conversation flowed freely. We learned so much, and it really did feel like VIP access to these incredible sites. 100% recommend Insight Cities and this tour.

We're so pleased that you enjoyed it! Thanks for the thoughtful, detailed review. We're working hard to pivot our touring to more locals during this moment of challenge for travel and it's great to hear that we can open up new experiences of Prague even for knowledgeable residents. Hoping to see you on our other tours in Prague, Berlin, Vienna, Salzburg, and Budapest.

It was great to have proper access to the Strahov library on this private tour. Vadim has a wealth of knowledge and helped make the frescos come to life! I'm glad we sampled some of the excellent beer at the brewery, so many varieties to choose from... Thanks again

Seeing the Strahov library (in a way that nobody else is allowed) and then later, meeting with a monk at the Brevnov monastery were just two of the many things that make this tour stand out. Living in Prague for some time, I'm looking for tours (and people like Vadim) who can show me something new with insights that go beyond the guidebooks. And, yes, the beer was nice too, especially at Brevnov.

Thanks for the review! Vadim enjoyed having you on the tour very much. We're excited to find that a number of our tours can open doors on aspects of Prague for locals as well as guests from around the world since overseas travel is still very challenged by the pandemic. Thanks again!

An excellent tour! Vadim, our tour guide, was very personable, knowledgeable and very helpful. We learned a lot about baroque architecture, had a private tour of the library in Strahov monastery which was breathtaking, had some of the best Prague beers and toured Prague castle. We highly recommend Vadim and Insight Cities!
