Overview
Visit the Kutná Hora Ossuary, one of the world's famous 'bone churches' and St Barbara's Cathedral during this 5.5-hour tour from Prague. Walk through the structure made of over 40,000 human bones, fashioned into a chandelier, a coat of arms and other novelties. See the well-preserved town center, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the neo-Gothic St Barbara's Cathedral. Learn about the history and culture of this town, much of whose architecture dates from the 15th century, from your guide as you travel. Entrance fees and round-trip transportation from Prague are included.
What to Expect
Meet-up with your guide at midday and start the 1-hour trek to Kutna Hora's bone ossuary, one of the most well-known burial grounds in the world. This chapel is decorated with more than 40 000 human bones, which are arranged into a chandelier, a Schwarzenberg Coat-of-Arms, and numerous other decorative touches. Kutná Hora has been on the UNESCO list of cultural heritage sites since 1995.

But there is far more to see to this town than skeleton-made furniture. Kutná Hora was once the second richest city in the Kingdom of Bohemia, thanks to its medieval silver mining centre. The former wealth of the town is reflected today in the variety of architectural monuments and the preserved structure of the town centre. Our tour of Kutná Hora will take you to the Neo-Gothic St Barbara’s Cathedral, through the streets of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque town houses and to visit a unique stone fountain from the 15th century.

Be transferred back to the meeting point on central Prague at tour's end.

Fascinating!

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour - the church was bizarre and fascinating and not too crowded, and the town of Kutna Hora was beautiful. I thought the cobblestone streets and old buildings were even better than the Golden Lane in Prague, with...More

Very nice trip, friendly guide, we visited the ossuary church and then the old city of Kutna Hora. Left Prague by 1, returned by about 6.30.

I didn't consider the drive to be scenic, but it was still nice to see the country side and get away from the crowds of the city. We spent 2.5 day in Prague and we felt we had plenty of time to see the highlights of the... More
