We had an exceptional tour with Jana Gluchman, organized on very short notice for my US relatives. Jana did an outstanding job tailoring our trip, which included a comprehensive overview of World War II, the Jewish Quarter, and life under communism in the Czech Republic. We all gained a wealth of interesting facts and stories. Jana was extremely knowledgeable, professional, flexible, and well-prepared. Despite the cold weather, she made our tour highly enjoyable and kept us engaged with her extensive knowledge and ability to answer our numerous questions. We were so happy we booked this full day tour with Martina! It was a pleasure to meet her and benefit from her depth of knowledge regarding the history, architecture. food and culture of Prague. Martina was extremely professional and friendly. She arrived on time with her driver to pick us up and even provided some printed material to help orient us to the city, along with a short chronological brochure with context showing the influences in Prague during each historical era.. Martina did an excellent job of tailoring the tour to our interests, particularly about the history of Prague's Jews. We appreciated seeing the Jewish synagogues, cemetery and museum. We particularly enjoyed the elegant ambiance at Cafe Mozart where we enjoyed coffee and cake with a special view of the Astronomical Clock in beautiful Old Town. We saw and learned so much in our full day tour that would not have been possible in a half day and the relaxed pace was perfect. We highly recommend Martina and Personal Prague Guide!

Our tour guide Honza Pavelka was amazing and provided lots of historical information about Czech and Cesky Krumlov throughout the trip. Cesky Krumlov was so beautiful and Honza knew just where to take us. We were able to visit the castle museum and walk to the top of the tower. Before reaching the top, there are several places to stop to take in the view and read about the restoration of the tower. Honza recommended an authentic Czech restaurant and even made reservations for us. The food was delicious and we tried the country’s most traditional meals. We were given time to meander around the city and do a little shopping. The Christmas market was still open so we were able to enjoy that as well. The entire day was lovely and I can see why Cesky Krumlov has a fairytale feel, between the castle, the quaint streets and houses and a river flowing around it, it really does transport you to another time. Having a terrific guide like Honza really made the trip even more memorable. Cesky Krumlov should not be missed and I would highly recommend this trip and our tour guide .

I am so grateful for the folks at Personal Prague Guide! I booked 3 tours with them during a trip to Prague and they were able to get them all scheduled on short notice. Jana arranged everything and did a great job assigning guides to each of the tours. We had a tour of Josefov, the Jewish Quarter, with Tereza; a day trip to Bastei Brucke and Dresden with Honza; and a trip to Terezín with Martina. Each one brought their own knowledge and personal experience to the trips, which I really enjoyed. If you give them a bit of context about what you are interested in, they can customize your tours and assign guides that they think you will have something in common with. I will also add that I used Personal Prague Guide for a set of tours in 2011 as well and they have continued to provide wonderful service.

In a foreign land, without understanding a single word of the native language and having no idea of where to begin or end our journey, we were rescued by one of the most extraordinary tour guides I've ever met in many, many years of world travel. Veronika Voldrichova was unbelievably knowledgeable, engaging, and personable. Speaking for myself, when I schedule a half -day with a complete stranger I have never even seen before, I tend to have a little anxiety as one would have on a blind date. However, Veronika glowed with a warm and comforting attribute that gave me comfort in a matter of seconds. She sat us down and sincerely asked many questions to find out what our interests were in this beautiful and never ending abyss of history of the city named, "Praha." Then we began a tour that was as charming as it was educational. Veronika had an extremely deep understanding of the area’s history and culture. She was able to patiently answer questions, create a welcoming atmosphere, and have a knack for storytelling that brings the place to life. Veronika had a passion for the city she calls home and a joy for her work not unlike one of the many Saints she taught us about. One who not only has the mind to be distinguished, but the heart as well. She gave us one of those priceless and rare treasures only found in the smallest of corners...An everlasting, good memory.

Tereza was awesome. Her tour was the best part of our Prague trip. We only had half a day and she made it special without feeling rushed.

We did 3 full day tours to different locations outside of Prague. Personal Prague Guide could not have been any better! Our guide, Martina, was amazing! She communicated with us ahead of time, we knew the plan, she was prompt with her pick ups at our hotel each morning and her knowledge was top notch! The depth of history she not only knows, but experienced first hand, really made an impression on us. She is passionate about her work and her country and it really shows as she is guides through the tour. I highly recommend! 10 stars are in order!

We booked to two, one half day walking tours and couldn’t have been more pleased! Our guide, Alzbeta (Bety), met us at our hotel each morning and took us out into the city and toured us around based on our personal preferences. We were very interested in the history of the Czech Republic, along with art and culture. Bety was so passionate about everything she shared with us and her broad knowledge and understanding of her country was truly impressive. It was a great introduction to the city and the country. I would give this tour a 10 star rating if I could!

Alzbieta was an amazing tour guide who was fun, personable, and has an incredibly wealth of knowledge about her city. She showed me a Prague that I never would have gotten to know through travel books alone. When you visit a new place, you want that friendly local who can point out the small things with big stories, and direct you the restaurants that can accommodate your food preferences (I'm vegetarian). You also want a knowledgeable companion, and I got all of this out of my time with Alzbieta. Historic places, fun detours, history of the town itself. Mega props to the company as well. Fantastic communication and easy to make arrangements. This company and its tour guides know exactly what people need and how they should be treated. Nothing but accolades for the unforgettable experience. I cannot wait to return to Prague.
