About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Jane_S412360 contributionsI hope you don't need any help whilst using this service.I'm guessing you can book this ride on the Internet, but we were exploring Prague and just decided it give it a go. The ticket machines are inside and the queue today in Summer snaked outside for quite a way. So we couldn't get our tickets until we were very near the front. There were 2 different types of machines, and one type just wouldn't work for us. There was no one to ask for help on our side of the barrier. So we asked the man in charge of letting us through when he decided to come out of his office. He point blank refused to help us. Eventually we found the other machines, which just about worked eventually. It was so stressful and really upset me. Then getting on the funicular was a free for all. Having been on many in Switzerland, the Swiss would have laughed their heads off at this service, or lack of it! My advice is, use the funicular but be for warned, and by tickets in advance.Written 14 August 2024
- Mike C0 contributionsOverpriced private tourVery disappointed in the extent of the tour relative to the excessive price. We paid for a private tour of the monastery and the library. At the ticket counter, tickets can be had for less than $25 for two. Much of the monastery was off limits, the church interior could only be viewed from behind locked gates. And the beautiful library that we had hoped to tour could only be glimpsed from a crowded roped-off doorway. Also, the prescribed location we had met our tour guide required the added cost of a tram ride to the monastery entrance. Save your money and buy your tickets on the premises. Most of the exhibits are well documented in EnglishWritten 13 August 2024

- arpitbadshah0 contributionsExploring Prague's Old Town, Charles Bridge, Kafka, and the Jewish QuarterMy partner and I recently took the Prague Old Town, Charles Bridge, Kafka, Jewish Quarter Tour, and it was an unforgettable experience. The tour seamlessly blended history, culture, and stunning architecture, beginning with the charming cobblestone streets of Old Town and the awe-inspiring Charles Bridge, offering breathtaking views of the Vltava River. Our knowledgeable guide brought Franz Kafka's world to life, sharing fascinating anecdotes about the famous writer’s life and works. The visit to the Jewish Quarter was particularly poignant, as we explored historic synagogues and learned about the rich yet tumultuous history of Prague's Jewish community. The tour was exceptionally well-organized, providing a deep and engaging insight into Prague’s multifaceted heritage, and left us both with a profound appreciation for this beautiful city.Written 23 May 2024

- Aseem19760 contributionsValue for Money - Informative and Enjoyable Tour!I recently went on this amazing tour of Prague's Old Town and Jewish Quarter, and it was so interesting! Our guide made everything easy to understand and added a personal touch to the experience. We started in Prague Old Town, where we saw the famous astronomical clock and explored the lively Havel's Market. Then, we moved to the city's former Jewish Quarter, learning about Prague's rich Jewish heritage and visiting sites like the Old-New Synagogue. We finished by strolling across the historic Charles Bridge, soaking in its incredible history. I highly recommend this tour - it's well worth the money.Written 3 April 2024
- 770paulp0 contributionsBest walk in Prague!Best-for-value walk in Prague: 1. Start at the Monument for the Victims of Communism ("x" on the map). 2. Walk to the funicular, and ride it to the top. 3. Turn left, and walk through the rose garden. On the left you overlook Prague; on the right you will eventually see some buildings, probably 200 M. 4. Turn left into the park, go about 10 M, and then turn right. Follow the path downhill, and loop around to your left, maybe another 200 M. There is an obelisk with 4 sundials on the top (9), and just beyond a pond with a seal (8). 5. Here, go right down some stairs, looping first to your left, then to the right, and with a few more turns you'll come to a 2nd pond, with a statue of Hercules (6). 6. Then with the valley on your left, walk down a path that takes a long turn to the left, and there is a building on your right, a Museum of Czech culture. You can visit, or save that for another day. 7. To exit the park, continue down the valley, perhaps another 300 M, and there is a gate to the street.Written 22 February 2024
- lorantm20190 contributionsSt Vitus offers the best view over PragueYou can spend hours admiring the hundreds of pictures, sculptures, painted windows and architectural details - but the best part of it is the view from the top of the tower (there is no elevator and there are some 270 steps to climb, but worth the struggle).Written 2 November 2022
