- ericoX3406GX0 contributionsA superior guide experienceWe had a spectacular experience with Christopher as our guide. My wife and I came to Krakow to relax, to get to know Poland better, and to learn history - and Christopher was essential to all three. He personalized the tours of Auschwitz and Krakow to suite our interests for two days. He was a joy to work with and to meet. He's the rare guide who combines the best of all guide-types: he's warm and friendly, he's super knowledgable about history and culture, and he's excellent with details and logistics. He provided fascinating stories, clearly presented complex historical issues, was fun to hang with, and he even helped secure us some lunch and dinner reservations. He gets our highest recommendation.Written 21 March 2025
- malcolme20240 contributionsNo problem recommending Private Tours KrakowAfter using Private Tours Krakow for myself and friends July 2024 I was so impressed I recommended my family and some friends to use them for there tours Christopher arranged everything for them 4 different tours, once again with great communication and detail . They all enjoyed their tours and also thought Private Tours Krakow were excellent.Written 15 March 2025
- 35kcf0 contributionsA Lovely Warsaw Experience!Christopher came highly recommended by someone I thoroughly trust and now I can also recommend Christopher's private tour service in Poland! As most other's mentioned in their reviews, I too found communicating with Christopher easy and uncomplicated. He was upfront about costs and durations of tours as well as being friendly and accommodating. This was my first time visiting Poland and quite a short 3.5 day visit, staying in Warsaw the entire time. My initial inquiry was a tour of Krakow, but unfortunately I wasn't able to fit it in to my schedule and asked Christopher if he did tours of Warsaw. And, as my luck would have it, he has a team of capable tour guides in Warsaw and connected me with Jola, whom I hit it off with immediately. She was extremely knowledgeable, warm and friendly as we proceeded with our 4 hour walking tour, starting out in Warsaw Old Town (Stare Miasto) and ending at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews located in an area that was previous referred to as the Warsaw Ghetto. What a sobering and memorable experience it will be...Thank you again JOLA for a lovely experience of Warsaw! And, of course thank you to Christopher for offering the tours you offer and hope I get back to Poland soon so I can book the Krakow/Auschwitz tour with you! Again, I can now highly recommend contacting Christopher after a great experience myself!!!Written 13 March 2025
- K3745IGemmab0 contributionsExcellent, highly recommended tour guideI arranged a private airport transfer and private guided tour of Auschwitz & Birkenau with Christopher of Private Tours. I would highly recommend him as he was excellent to communicate with, he delivered exactly what he promised, he provided me with additional very helpful information such as restaurant recommendations. It is a personalised service and one I would recommend to anyone thinking of booking a tour in Krakow.Written 11 March 2025
- dnP5254PU0 contributionsWorthwhile all euros and time spent there visitingGiven the limited lead time, Christopher suggested in rapid sequence alternatives for the tour. Since the time slots for private guided tours were fully booked, I got a private transfer and a small group (6 pax) in German provided by the local Organisation. The polish lady, who studied originally Germanistik had very specific, though relevant insights and facts making the visit amazing and given the location “digestible”. She took ok time to answer individual questions, trying to avoid the numerous groups visiting that Sonny Saturday. Well done and thank you so muchWritten 26 February 2025
- dnP5254PU0 contributionsMultifaceted, relevant, insightI booked in an uncomplicated way (despite the short lead time) a great private tour in the late afternoon after my flight to Krakaw. The guide was ontime, structured the tour in a logical way, offering various inslightd and relevant background historical facts. It was very good value for money and I can warmly recommend Christopher and his team for your tours in and around Krakaw. Thank you very much.Written 26 February 2025
- A5454ZUjoeg0 contributionsGreat Service!Christopher made booking and confirming details super easy and straightforward. Our driver - Jedrek - was terrific - he kept everything moving and had some great local recommendations. Would definitely book again!Written 10 February 2025

- hlb20London0 contributionsExcellent local tour guide.Christopher arranged a private trip to Auschwitz for us and a group trip to the Salt mines. He was very efficient and communication was excellent. The tour guide on our Auschwitz trip was very knowledgable and respectful, and the trip was very moving and educational. The logistics for both trips were very smooth and efficient. I would highly recommend Christopher.Written 2 February 2025
- Jessefoxxy10 contributionsChristopher arranged the best experiences!AMAZING TRIP. I’d been to Auschwitz many times before, but my family wanted to go. Christopher was able to move heavy and earth to find us a driver and tickets when everything looked like it was sold out for awhile. Instead of waiting hours in the cold, we were picked up in a comfortable car, driven to the museum, and driven home. He also helped us arrange a custom walking tour around the city and a guided tour in Schindler’s Factory with Monika, who was great. Overall, cannot recommend Private Tours Krakow enough for their listed tours and private custom tours!Written 30 December 2024
- DayTrip219068693620 contributionsHighly recommendedI can’t thank Christopher enough for the incredible tour of Auschwitz. Even though the site was fully booked, they went above and beyond to secure a spot for me, which I truly appreciate. The guide was knowledgeable, compassionate, and respectful, providing a deeply moving and educational experience that I will never forget. Their professionalism and dedication to ensuring everything went smoothly made all the difference. If you’re looking for a tour company that genuinely cares about providing exceptional service, I highly recommend them!Written 20 December 2024
- Robjoy0 contributionsFantastic CompanyWe can not recommend this company highly enoigh. Chris was excellent to deal with from start to finish and answered all our questions thoroughly. Our personal transport arrived at our hotel on time and drove us out of the city and onto our visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Our driver got the 4 of us in quickly and past the queue's where once we got through the stringent security checks we were met by our guide and collected our whisper system headset and the tour began. Our guide was superb and very knowledgeable. After completing the Auschwitz tour we transferred to the Birkenau site for the second part of the tour. We are so pleased that we booked with Chris's company for this iconic visit. We cannot rate this company highly enough and great value for money.Written 17 December 2024

- A2313SMdennisl0 contributionsAmazing TourI have to say, I am not one with the patience to write the number of reviews asked of me on a daily basis. No matter how amazing the experience. But for my time with Christopher and his associate, Alicia, I will make an exception. My wife and I decided to visit Krakow as a different kind of experience. We had heard that the city is beautiful and culturally rich. Of course, its history as a holocaust venue is well known. We wanted our visit to Auschwitz-Birkinau to be sensitively treated and properly respectful. Both Christopher and Alicia delivered beyond any expectation. First, the one hour drive to the site was punctuated by our numerous questions to Christopher, our driver. He was more than eager to answer any question we had. And when it came to questions about Poland, which bled into questions about Central European history, which bled into religion and aesthetics, he was authoritative. You see, it turns out he has a PhD in Philosophy and has taught at university. Let's just say the discussions were illuminating and much appreciated. At Auschwitz, we were lucky enough to get Alicia as our guide. She was employed at Auschwitz for more than 20 years in its administration and is now a private tour guide on the rare occasion. I'm sure if you asked for her she may make herself available. She was amazing. Despite her many years at the camp she confessed to getting emotional with each visit. My wife and I could see it and feel it, which is precisely what makes a private tour so meaningful. Well, I've been going on too long, although I have much more to say. My recommendation is not to hesitate to book with Christopher. I'm positive he and his team will deliver exactly what you want, and to do it with grace, compassion, and flexibility. Bravo.Written 16 November 2024
- marymZ7598XG0 contributionsExcellent experienceMy husband and I spent 3 days with Christopher (one of those with someone he recommended) and it was excellent. We did a 4 hour walking tour of Krakow, visited Auschwitz, the Salt Mine and took a train to Warsaw for a walking tour there. Christopher was incredibly knowledgeable on all topics and so pleasant to spend time with. He shared many topics of interest even beyond the tour. His recommendations for hotels, restaurants, activities were excellent and so helpful. We would highly recommend him and will plan to revisit based on recommendations of other places to see for which we ran out of time.Written 12 November 2024

Christopher was our guide to the Salt Mines. Both the Salt Mines and Christopher were incredible. His knowledge, personality and enthusiasm were all exceptional. His suggestions about our extended visit in Krakow proved invaluable and added so much to the trip. What a great day.

Christopher is an intelligent, empathetic, curious and kind person who takes his job seriously but also knows how to read people and lighten the mood when needed. We did the salt mines, Auschwitz and some of Krakow.

We visited the amazing Salt Mine in Wieliczka and also took the private Krakow city walk including Kazimierz. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he made the tours very enjoyable and interesting. There was never a question that he could not answer, and it like he enjoyed taking care of us. We would highly recommend this company to anyone visiting Poland. We had the most enjoyable holiday and we cannot wait to visit again!
