Pass By: Welcome in Cracow, Szewska 15, 31-009 Kraków, Poland

Your trip will begin with pickup from a previously determined place in Krakow. The trip to the first location from the trips will take 30 minutes.

Stop At: Kalwaria Zebrzydowska Santuario, ul. Bernardynska 46, Kalwaria Zebrzydowska 34-130 Poland

The origins of the Sanctuary of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska go back to 1601, when Mikołaj Zebrzydowski, voivoda of Krakow, on Mount Żarek (in the Żar group) erected a chapel dedicated to the Crucifixion of Christ, following a model in chalk of the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem. The chapel was consecrated as a church on the 4th of October 1601 by the Papal representative Klaudiusz Rangoni, and it was to serve as a place of prayer during Lent for the Zebrzydowski family.

Shortly thereafter, Mikołaj Zebrzydowski decided to build a chapel dedicated to the Tomb of Christ (following the model of the chapel with the same name in Jerusalem) along with a modest convent, based on a project of the Italian Jesuit architect Giovanni Maria Bernardoni, and of the Flemish architect and jeweller Paolo Baudarth. This church, dedicated to the Madonna of the Angels, was consecrated by the Bishop of Krakow, Piotr Tylicki, on the 4th of October 1609.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Family Home of John Paul II, ul. KoScielna 7, Wadowice 34-100 Poland

In a house at Kościelna Street, number 7, on the 18th of May 1920, Karol Wojtyła was born, who later became the Holy Father, John Paul II. The Wojtyła family, in years 1919-1938, resided in a two rooms and a kitchen apartment, on the first floor. In this house Karol Wojtyła spent all his childhood and youth.

In 1984 an open papal exhibition was set up here. Since 2010 the building is under renovation, adapting the whole tenement into the museum. After opening in 2014 tourists can witness the whole life of Saint John Paul II. The heart of the museum is the apartment in which Karol Wojtyła was born and raised. Inside, there are original pieces connected with the Wojtyła Family. The Museum of the Holy Father John Paul II is a cultural institution created by the following entities: the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Malopolska Region, the Municipality of Wadowice and the Archdiocese of Cracow.

Stop At: Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, Lagiewniki District, Krakow 30-608 Poland

The Divine Mercy Sanctuary (Polish: Sanktuarium Bożego Miłosierdzia) in Kraków, Poland is a Roman Catholic basilica dedicated to the Divine Mercy devotion, as the resting place of Saint Faustina Kowalska, canonized on April 30, 2000.[1][2]

The new basilica was built between 1999–2002, and is located in the District of Łagiewniki at św. Faustyny street. Three Popes have visited the shrine and millions of pilgrims from around the world continue to visit it every year.

Private tour to Zakopane
This tour was excellent. Everything worked as scheduled. Wiktor, our guide, was very polite and friendly. All the activities were done just as planned. Both him and the guy at the office were very nice and communicative. They also arranged our transfer to the airport the next day. I would certainly recommend this company.

Harrowing and eye opening
We can’t for a weekend but what we saw and learnt will stay with us for a life time, you’ve read books , seen shows and movies but nothing prepares you for the truly harrowing experience of seeing it with your own eyes, our guide always amazing, she told us amazing facts and figures but done this in such a sorrowful way it was difficult to take your eyes off of her whilst she described the horrors of the death camp, I highly recommend the guided tours to anyone interested in visiting

We booked our trip through vitator. We were picked up promptly by Michael who was very friendly. The transfer took 1half hours during this time we watched a film on auchwitz. This itself was very emotional. When we arrived we were given radios and headphones so that we were able to hear our guide. The walk through the gates and around the camps made you stop and think what those poor people went through. My only criticism about this tour is that auchwitz was rushed it seem no sooner had you been told about a particular area you moved on quickly not giving you time to look properly and reflect.

Claustrophobic warning
warningEarlier this year I took the tour to Auschwitz and found it a well run and moving experience. Although I felt a bit longer was needed in both camps as in the guided tour your taken round just the main parts quickly, it is still worthwhile doing. This month I took my partner and friend and we decided to do a self guided tour with the book, giving us the freedom to explore at our own pace. This is recommended but you need to read up before you go so you have a good idea what you want to see, and what your looking at. My only warning is for those with claustrophobia. On my first trip I went with superkrakow and the mini bus was great. My second trip we went with a company I think Royal Krakow. The mini bus was very dark and each seat was a very small race car type seat with virtually no space between each row. The lady was lovely and allowed me to take the front seat she had her bag on, but by then, I had got worked up and had to get off before we even left Krakow. I would advise if you suffer from claustrophobia to check what the seats are like before you book. Even my friends found it lacking in space

Radio headset not working
Yesterday we attended the Wieliczka salt mine tour booked with Welcome in Cracow. When we joined the 10am English tour we were given a headset and receiver and put in a group of 40 people. During the tour we found that unless we were stood within 2 meters of the guide then the light on the receiver was red and not green meaning we could not hear the guide. As we were the last 2 people allocated to the group we were always at the back and missed nearly the whole 2 hours commentary. When we complained to the guides they said that this problem was reported every day , but their managers do nothing about it. We have raised the issue with Welcome in Cracow and they were unhelpful.

Best experience in our Polish vacation
From the first moment we booked with this company my mom and me were extremely happy with the service. Bartek from the office immediately got in touch with us to give us more information about the tour. This gave us a lot of confidence, as we had read reviews of other companies that were very bad, cancelations or changes to the departure times last minute. This was not the case with Welcome in Krakow. Everything they promised they delivered. The pick up time was 9, not too early, as my mom and me were a little tired from the trip it was perfect. The transportation was an extremely comfortable minivan, with plenty of leg space and great air condition for the hot summer day we had. My mom walks with a cane and found getting into and getting out of the minivan accessible. We shared the trip with 6 other guests, not large groups, which is always very nice. And lastly, but the most important, our driver Wiktor was amazing. He is such a cheerful knowledgable and hard working man. We appreciated his honesty about different subjects and also his positivity about the current situation and future of his country. The guided tour he arranged at Auschwitz saved us a lot of time, skipping the line. We had 10 minutes to wait only, and used them to take advantage of the toilets and the entrance. We were initially planning to book the self guided experience, but Bartek was very professional to suggest this better option. Indeed the lines were huge and we would have missed out on an exceptional presentation by the local guide. At the end of the Auschwitz tour we had a few minutes to enjoy the snacks we had packed in the morning. And then at Birkenau we wet the same local guide for the second part of the visit. Well worth the money!

Punctual and well-organised tour
We were picked up by our driver Wiktor on time. He was entertaining during travelling and showing us more places than we could have thought to think about. The tour was well worth the price. It was an easy day to get to know the attractions, when you didn’t have to worry about a thing. Thank you for the day!

Good, not great
Booked a self-guided tour to Auschwitz. Felt like a transport service more than exactly a tour because our driver didn't say a word on our way there. A short introduction would have been nice. The only complaint I have is regarding the time of booking. I specifically asked the lady if we had to queue at the museum to get a ticket and she said no because our tickets had been booked in advance; they would now assign our name to them. When we got to Auschwitz we had to wait for an hour to get our tickets which were not reserved in any way. We visited Birkenau first and then got back to Auschwitz to enter the museum at 5pm and had to queue again. Just wished we were informed of this beforehand.

Trip to Zakopane
This tour made for another amazing and unforgettable experience during our trip to Poland. Our driver/guide (Patryk) was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. His English was also exceptional which gave us the opportunity to ask more questions and learn more about culture, the landscape and the cuisine. Zakopane far exceeded our expectations with its beautiful sites and people! On our return home Patryk even kindly recommended an incredible pierogi restaurant! Highly recommendable tour!!!

Self-Guided tour Auschwitz-Birkenau
We booked this self-guided tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau already before arriving to Krakow. This trip was perfect for us because the transportation and tickets were included but we had the possibility to experience to camps on our own. Wiktor was our driver and he was great. He picked us up from our apartment and he was really nice, warm and funny! We recommend this trip to everybody who wants to visit these places on their own.

Great company!
We booked Salt mines, Auschwitz the Shooting range and airport transfer through this company. What can we say only that it was first class service. A lovely girl called Kinga arranged all of our trips and our driver was Wiktor. What a guy! He was funny friendly and full of information. We had a brilliant trip all thanks to these guys, and they don’t rip the arse out of their prices :-) Can’t recommend them enough!! Donna & Marc Ireland 🇨🇮
