- How you will help the local community by joining this tour: - On your tour you will visit Krakow’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to learn about local culture and the history behind some of the city’s important monuments. - Since your tour takes place in the early morning, before the crowds arrive, the tour does its part not to harm vulnerable heritage sites and local people by unnecessary crowding. - On this tour, you will also have breakfast in a small local bar owned by a private family, which supports them and their local business.
- Please wear comfortable shoes for walking.
- Food Allergies: Unless you suffer from multiple, combined food allergies, or unless you are a vegan, we will figure it out. Vegetarians are welcome on all tours.
- Tips: If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this tour.
- For private tour option we offer central Krakow hotels pick up. Please call or email us.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- amandasA3767KI0 contributionsHighly recommend!Mateusz was my guide and he was the best. He has an impressive amount of knowledge on Krakow. He was always able and willing to give honest answers to tough questions, because I had many. He was flexible and friendly and I would recommend a tour with him and this company any time. I got to see places I would never find on my own and learned a lot about this city, just the best.Written 9 December 2024
- theodorew7650 contributionsExperience Culture by Walking and Eating with a Local GuideAmazing! What better way to know a country's culture than to personally experience parts of it, right? In this case, there's nothing like walking and talking with a local guide who takes you to various "secret" hangouts and sample their food (and drinks): PIEROGI's: with meat, potatoes & white cheese, cabbage & mushrooms, spinach & feta cheese starters: OBWARZANEK - bread from Kraków OSCYPEK - cheese from sheep milk from area of PODHALE main dishes: SOUPS: BARSZCZ (from fermented beetroot), ŻUREK (sour rye soup) and POMIDOROWA (tomato soup) SECOND DISH: BIGOS (sour cabbage with meat), KIEŁBASA (grilled meat), PLACKI ZIEMNIACZANE (potato pancakes with goulash and sour cream) GOŁĄBKI (cabbage rolls) So well worth it. Writing this makes my mouth water. Get off the bus and try it! (Plug for Kasia, our patient guide)Written 1 December 2024
- Denise Z0 contributionsSatisfying Culinary Tour with KasiaOur lovely guide Kasia took us on a culinary tour of delicious traditional local foods and drinks in unique venues. She was knowledgeable not only about the food, but also shared interesting information about Krakow's traditions, culture and entertainment scene. The food choices were excellent and we were more than satisfied with the value. We highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in a wonderful introduction to Polish cuisine and culture.Written 29 November 2024
- Z9059ATkiml0 contributionsFantastic food tourThe food tour was fantastic! Our guide, Dominik’s took us to local places we would not have found on our own. She was very personable and knowledgeable on the local foods! We highly recommend this tour!!!Written 26 November 2024
- sarahmD6365JF0 contributionsFood, Culture and Fun!Dominica led us on a wonderful tour through the old town and Jewish quarter. Enough food and drink provided to fill us to the brim. The guides knowledge of Polish history and culture was impressive. Tour does include stops with alcohol. We decided to tip and it was graciously received. We would recommendWritten 24 November 2024
- 756fb0 contributionsA taste of KrakowDominika was our guide on a delicious tour around Krakow, tasting some of the most popular dishes. She was very knowledgeable about the places we stopped and the foods we tried. She asked if we were familiar with any Polish foods or had any Polish Roots. She did a wonderful job explaining some of the history of the buildings as well as typical dishes you'd have for holidays and explained how some food like pickles for example are different from the kind you would find in he US. There was a stop that included tasting beer, where she asked if anyone didn't like beer and if so she'd try to find something else to taste also. Everything was delicious and very well planned out. If you are a food lover or are just looking to broaden your taste buds and want to try some delicious Polish foods, I definitely recommend this tour. :)Written 24 November 2024

- 467beckya0 contributionsExcellent private tour of Nowa Huta with MatteuszExcellent tour of Nowa Huta with a wonderful guide, Mateusz (Matthew). Nowa Huta was designed as a planned worker's community during the Soviet period in Poland and was interesting from an urban planning, social, religious, and political perspective. Mateusz was an excellent guide - articulate, thoughtful, and well prepared. Highly recommend this tour if you are interested in getting beyond the more distant history of Krakow and gain insight into life between World War Two and the liberation of Poland in 1989. You also get to see a vibrant neighborhood mostly devoid of tourists.Written 2 November 2024
- G4191SQelizabethm0 contributionsExceptional Tour, extremely knowledgeable Tour Guide with both structured content and addressing questions we had.Matteo's tour was exceptional (Jewish Quarter & Schindlers Factory) The approach was a mix of structured content and dialoguing on questions we had. We were outside walking at a comfortable pace, used local transport and were inside during Schindler portion of tour. I recommend this tour for all, as Matteo made the content digestable for both older/mature adults, as well as younger generation.Written 1 November 2024
- 19edwinap0 contributionsCome hungry- leave fulfilled! This is a must do tour! Our guide Alicja, led us through Krakow to four unique restaurants with delicious local foods. Each place served a specialty of the house. Some places were family owned and some historic - a delight for the eyes and the belly! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time to savor each dish.Written 31 October 2024
- CaesarKaz0 contributionsFabulous Dining ExperienceThis food tour was absolutely fabulous. Our tour guide was Mateusz. Since this was a private tour, it was just me, my wife and Mateusz. This could have gone either way, bad or good, depending on the guide. Well, we lucked out. Mateusz was great. Spoke great English so there were no language issues which was important in a private tour. He took us to unique places where we dined on wonderful Polish dishes, (and drank beer and vodka) some of which we had not yet experienced during our stay. Between the food, the beer and the vodka, Mateusz provided us with an interesting history of the places where we ate and drank, the food, the drink and the city itself. Plus, he gave us some insight into the history of Poland as well. I highly recommend the tour, and if you can get Mateusz, all the better.Written 28 October 2024

- anniek6100 contributionsFantastic food tour!We had such a great time on our tour! Tomasz took our two families (including five little kids under 7) all over Krakow. We had so much amazing food, and he did a wonderful job explaining the food, culture, and history of Krakow at the same time. We would absolutely recommend it, including for families of young children.Written 22 October 2024

We had an awesome experience with the Breakfast tour of Krakow. Our tour guide, Joanna, was knowledgeable and personable. She shared interesting information and seemed to customize our tour, on the fly, to address items we were personally interested in. Our family members have booked several different tours of Krakow through Urban Tours and will continue to recommend this company to friends and family. Thank you Joanna for a highlight of our stay!

This is a must do experience in Krakow. We saw the main city highlights and we felt like we had them just for ourselves. Priceless! We loved our guide Tomasz as well. He was vivacious, very knowledgeable and very entertaining! We felt more like exploring the beautiful city of Krakow with our friends! And the breakfast at the local cafo was delicious. We will definitely return before we leave. Do not hesitate and book this tour! You will not regret it! Completely worth the money!

Sept. 15, 2024 - I arrived for the small group tour only to discover that I was the only participant, so this turned into a private tour. The guide was excellent - personable and knowledgeable. And the breakfast was delicious too.
