I rarely ever get to writing reviews online. However, I have to say everyone who works in this company is committed to excellence and customer satisfaction. Martin is a great guy to tour the city with. We had limited time in the city during our transit and he made the best of our time by showing us the Jewish history and also taking us to the old town in the evening. Highly recommended!

This was a fantastic tour for us. Our guide Pawel brilliantly reconstructed what happened to the Jewish people in Warsaw during World War II within the context of Poland’s history before being occupied by both the Germans and the Soviets. He didn’t have a lot to work with, considering nearly every building was bombed to bits after the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. But his tour focusing mainly on the Jewish ghetto, gave us new insight into the horrific events by looking at the few remains of the ghetto walls, surviving structures and many memorials to those who died. Memorable stops included the bunker of Mila 18 and the site of the bridge linking the large and small ghetto featured in the movie, ‘The Pianist’. Pawel is a well travelled young historian who’s incredibly knowledgeable with excellent English. He zipped us around the city in Poland’s ‘up market’ version of East Germany’s Trabant, the locally produced Fiat 125 from the country’s Soviet era. The car wasn’t easy to drive, but Pawel managed it with ease while constantly telling stories about this tragic time. He also took us for authentic Polish lunch in a Soviet era ‘milk bar’ which we enjoyed very much.

We had a great tour with Martin. He for sure knows his city and Polish history. He gave us countless info on old Jewish Heritage spots, as well as showing us landmarks from the socialist area, showed us the tons of interesting spots on both sides of the river, areas that we would not have seen without him. He explained all with deep knowledge. The four hours flew by and driving in the old Polski-Fiat was a classic one, especially when you like oldtimers or own one yourself. We will always recommend this tour.

Tour with Martin was very good and you feel how much passion he has about Polish and Jewish history. It was a good mix of the sites, the history and the stories about the Ghetto and the uprising. Don't miss out - it is a very meaningful experience you will never forget. Note: better not to go on Friday afternoon as you miss the synagogue tour and also can't visit the Jewish cemetary.

My tour was with Pawel and a young woman in training to be a guide. Pawel takes the time to understand your knowledge of the history and your reason for going on the tour. He then caters his information and where you go based on this. There were so many places that would have been near impossible to find without someone as knowledgeable as Pawel. The car was an experience in and of itself. Also, the restaurant for lunch was special and I have already gone back there and will go back at least one more time before leaving Warsaw.

Rafael was an outstanding guide and very thorough. He covered all the important sites of prewar Jewish Warsaw as well as the ghetto. He had pictures of 1939 Warsaw and the complete destruction of the ghetto. We saw the current synagogue and all the monuments. I highly recommend this 4 hour tour.

We took a private tour of Warsaw's Jewish Heritage by Retro Fiat on June 23, 2019. Our tour guide, Marcin, ("Martin") arrived on time in his yellow vintage Fiat. While there were just a few places we had wanted to go in Warsaw on the tour, Martin gave us so much more than we expected. He gave us his full tour that included “secret places” that we had not known previously. For example, he took us through some residential courtyards to show us a portion of the remaining wall of the Warsaw Ghetto. He had amazing photographs of the Warsaw Ghetto and what it looked like after the war. He was able to compare an extant portion of the Ghetto wall to one of his photographs so as to show us where a gate to the Ghetto once stood. One of the places we wanted to visit was the Okopowa Cemetery, which we had seen on a previous visit to Warsaw. The tour of the Cemetery that Martin provided was incredible. Not only did he have a thorough knowledge of the cemetery itself and the people buried there, but he also had a broad knowledge of Jewish cemetery practices and burial customs. We also wanted to see the Nozyk Synagogue. After seeing the Temple, we returned to the Fiat only to realize about ten minutes later, well on our way to the Cemetery, that we had left our camera at the Temple. Without hesitation, Martin immediately returned us to the Synagogue to look for the camera--in the meantime, he thoroughly inspected the Fiat to make sure it wasn't there. We spent about 20 minutes in the Synagogue, looking for the camera and speaking with various security officers, but could not locate the camera (it was returned to us later that evening from the Synagogue). This made our tour run late, but Martin did not seem to mind. He picked up from where we had left off and, once again, headed for the Cemetery. Martin has what seems to be an encyclopedia of knowledge about Jewish Warsaw, the Warsaw Ghetto, the Ghetto Uprising, the subsequent Warsaw Uprising, Warsaw under the Communists (Martin shared his personal experiences having lived part of his life under Communist rule), current Polish politics and general knowledge of Jewish customs and ceremonies. When Martin and his Fiat returned us to our hotel, we knew that we had had an unparalleled tour of Jewish Warsaw. Martin's tour exceeded our expectations and we enthusiastically recommend Warsaw's Jewish Heritage by Retro Fiat without any reservations. In addition, we highly recommend Martin as a knowledgeable, personable, and exceptional Warsaw tour guide!

Martin led me on a very thorough tour of the city's Jewish history. Much of Warsaw was demolished during WWII making specific places/remnants difficult to locate without a knowledgable tour guide. Martin was very friendly, social, and accommodating. I highly recommend the tour. I had only a small amount of time in Warsaw and this tour maximized the time I had which ended at the POLIN museum, another spot I highly recommend! Thank you Martin!!

Martin, a 40 (ish) native of Warsaw, promptly presented himself in front of our hotel in a yellow Retro Fiat, as advertised. While the vehicle was fun and a bit whimsical, the tour of the Warsaw Ghetto was a somber experience. This didn't stop Yitzi and I (a Chabad Rabbi) from soaking up Martin's extensive knowledge about Warsaw, the largest Jewish community in Europe pre-WWII.

There was so much information about the history of Warsaw, the role of Jewish history in Warsaw and the events leading to it's destruction imparted to us from Martin, that time (and characters) don't permit a full explanation.

Let's just say it is a fulfilling experience that is worth the price of admission.

Yitzi and I highly recommend the tour.

Martin did such an excellent job explaining to me the history of the Jews in Poland. He showed particular sensitivity when discussing the holocaust and the Ghetto Uprising. I would recommend this tour and him as a guide without hesitation.
