About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Synne90 contributionsFabulous retro tour! How to cover the main sights of Warsaw with limited time, limited Polish knowledge, and limited desire to walk long distances in potentially wet and cold December weather? Book the coolest private car around, of course! This was a great way to see the city, get over jet lag, and get to ask questions of a local. Karol was my guide and was excellent! With his history background he was extremely knowledgeable, was a great driver, and made for a very relaxing and enjoyable morning. He even found me the perfect old-school milk bar so I could have that experience (and helped me order because my Polish is nonexistent!) The car is super fun, too-definitely drew lots of attention from folks. 10/10 would recommend!Written 8 December 2024
- 842ronniem0 contributionsKonrad is the man!Our tour guide Konrad was fantastic. He asked us what our key areas of interest were and ensured we covered all of those as well as having all of our questions answered. He was funny and engaging. Brought us snacks and local vodka and made sure we made it through safely (and in a #PolishFiat that's always a risk :) ). I highly recommend this experience... its a little different but a lot of fun!Written 2 December 2024
- P3247IDkathleenm0 contributionsExcellent tour if interested in Jewish history during WWII in WarsawThe guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He took me to all the sites I wanted to go to and to others I did not even know existed. It was worth both the time and the money without exception. Highly recommend if you are interested in Jewish History during WWII Warsaw. Excellent!Written 2 December 2024
- gemmamL7761AI0 contributionsDark side tourThis tour was very interesting and our guide Konrad was excellent. Would recommend. Was good fun going in the old bus and enjoyed all the stops where we got out and exploredWritten 1 December 2024
- D9209WOstephanw0 contributionsGreat guide KonradGreat explanation by guide, tour stops at chocolate-shop, church, old wodka still and two old houses for explanation about historyWritten 30 November 2024
- Rachel S0 contributionsWhat a day.We absolutely loved our tour with Konrad. The tour was packed with information about the city and its history, and the car was very cool. A great way to spend the day and to learn more about the city of Warsaw. The word magnificent is used a lot these days, but in this case I think it's justified. Thanks, Konrad, it was mega.Written 30 November 2024
- jeanq8560 contributionsPrivate sightseeing tour with highly recommended tour guideNice small country with great history ! Tour guide CONRAD is very knowledgeable about Poland’s history and answered all our questions. He is very understanding and helpful to my mom who has arthritis and can’t walk fast. We had so much fun as he is also hilarious! Highly recommended tour guide!!!Written 28 November 2024
- FarAway496582005310 contributionsExcellentAn excellent way to experience a very confronting historical site. I am so glad we were guided by Marcin who gave us a personalized tour as a private group. Very comfortable vehicle, seamless pick up/drop off. Great relaxed pace for the day. Delicious food in Lublin Old Town. Would recommend to anyone.Written 27 November 2024
- JohnC24050 contributionsA Must Do TourA tremendous tour. Took us off the normal tourist areas of Warsaw and gave us a good insight into the struggles of the people of Warsaw. Konrad the guide was excellent, providing some amusing anecdotes during the tour which kept everybody interested and involved. Don't miss it.Written 27 November 2024
- aleksandrasA1957FM0 contributionsLoved it, would come back again.Marcin was amazing with us! My mother and I went together to explore Warsaw with him and with my mother being Polish, it was a great experience with him. He was able to teach me a lot of new things while still showing my mom some things she never knew about. The car was a great addition and helped shelter us from the cold air. It was a great time, and would 100% come back to the company again with the whole family this time.Written 24 November 2024

- connorw3290 contributionsAbsolutely fantastic!Karol was our guide and was absolutely fantastic. Lots of interesting knowledge about Poland’s communist past and getting to drive the car was really fun. Absolutely worth doing if you’re in Warsaw, it was the best tour we did in the city. Shot of Polish vodka at the end was nice too!Written 16 November 2024

- joelhphoto0 contributionsA day to rememberWe had a great tour with Marcin. He is extremely professional-personable and did a great job taking us and narrating the entire Treblina story. He was able to not only give us the story of the camp but share the history and background of what, why and how this happened. There were three of us on this tour and we all give Marcin high marks for explaining and showing us this very difficult moment in time.Written 8 November 2024
- Sonia A0 contributionsWonderful. Our experience was excellent! Our tour guide/driver, Konrad, was very knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. The old fiat retro made a different experience.Written 7 November 2024

Favorite part was talking with Marcin about the history of his country, Poland, and his knowledge about many countries in our world. Very engaging. He gave this tour for just the two of us, and we had lots of time to tour the grounds and house, then to see the church where Chopin was baptized.

Martin was an excellent tour guide providing a rich and deep, and entertaining commentary. We did the Chopin gardens and museum and house. But the tour to the forest and the ethnographic village was a great contrast to the city. Serene, but also good to understand the disparity in circumstances between the regional and city lives. Martin was very open to exploring and matching the experience with our interests. And the lunch was wonderful in a tiny village restaurant with excellent local food.

I thought this was just about the best tour I have ever been on! Martin did an amazing job of talking to us during the whole trip about many aspects of Poland beyond the Chopin story itself. I really appreciated the insight into Poland’s history and conflicts and people and life-style! I learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Excellent guide Olga, knowledgable, but also great to talk to! From pick up to drop off she was very professional and she is also multilingual. She also pointed out some further places to visit. The tour was just as described. Warmly recommended!

A memorable tour to Fryderyk Chopin's roots, on a sunny day in August. Our tour guide and driver was Martin, who did a great job all the way. He was also highly enjoyable company on the ride from and back to Warsaw, sharing many interesting details about Poland and its people.
Arriving in Żelazowa Wola, after a comfortable 45-minute drive from Warsaw, we started off in the museum with a movie about Chopin’s life. Subsequently followed by a stroll through the beautiful surrounding park. We made a brief stop outside Chopin’s place of birth, the manor house, where a wonderful piano concert was taking place. Soon we were transported to the village of Brochów, to visit the church where Chopin was baptised. Coming back to the park, limited time was left for the manor house interior and its exhibited artifacts.
All in all a great experience, though the available time to spend in the park and inside the manor house is too short. Perhaps the 30-minute movie in the museum could be optional. With that leaving more time for the park and manor house - and for that shot of Polish vodka that now fell in between ;-)

This was an excellent experience. Marcin was a fantastic guide! He was really very knowledgeable in the history of Poland, which provided a great deal of context regarding Chopin’s life. This tour wasn’t just a glimpse into the great Polish composer’s life, but also a glimpse into Poland as a country. I truly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it. Thank you Marcin Hilgier and Viator!
