- A3851LMceliar0 contributionsA Day in Warsaw with MonaI heard about With Locals on the Internet. I reached out to Mona and it was one of the best things we could have done. Mona customized a day tour of Warsaw based on what we asked. We had the best time with Mona. Not only is she very knowledgeable about Warsaw you can tell she loves what she does. I would highly recommend Mona for any of your tour needs. When I come back I certainly will contact her again. Celia & VickiWritten 11 September 2024

Every street & building had a story & he narrated it so well. Thank you for the perfect blend of culture, history, and fun on the city tour. - I5308RDxx0 contributionsWe all became Warsaw fans!We were a tour group of eight people from Berlin and Marcin guided us through Warsaw for three exciting hours. As he described in his portrait, he really showed us the gems of sights that are a little off the beaten track. Places that we would certainly not have visited ourselves. The tour of the former Warsaw ghetto was also very impressive. All in all, the tour with Marcin is highly recommended! And: we all became Warsaw fans, a great city. Thank you Marcin and all the best!Written 12 April 2024
- Aine N0 contributionsWarsaw with WhitFour of us had a wonderful tour of Warsaw yesterday with Whit as our local guide. Whit was an excellent guide with great knowledge of Warsaw but also European history, wars etc and how these affected Poland and Warsaw in particular. Whit has an easy relaxed style and tailored everything, pace and information, to suit us. I would highly recommend Whit as a Warsaw guide.Written 8 December 2023

Marcin is an excellent guide and left me with his love of his city and country. This was my second tour with Marcin and he is great about communicating before tour tooWritten 1 November 2023
- familytraveler360 contributionsA Walking Tour that Educates!I knew nothing about Warsaw. If I leave a walking tour feeling like I have more knowledge or a feel for the people, I give the highest stars available. But it really has to be earned - I don't give them if not earned. Marcin has a very personable way of sharing.Written 31 October 2023

With only about 2 hours notice I booked a tour with Whit and he totally saved the day. My daughter and I had so much fun with Whit. He’s an excellent guide who is very entertaining and all around fabulous. We got an excellent tour of the city and great tips for local shopping and travel.Written 21 February 2023

- thisdrinkinglife0 contributionsFriendly, informative and in-depthA friendly, informative and in-depth view of the history of Warsaw, taking in the the very modern and the not so modern at street level. The kind of tours I prefer, walking around from street to street reeling in the local history, all the nooks and crannies, the side streets and the hidden but important stories that one not might get otherwise. Noticing how Warsaw is a city where the very modern (high rise skyscrapers) lie side by side the very old (old apartment blocks of the 60s and 70s) and the even older (remnants of buildings from the war period) Marcin's tour was relaxed, with lots of good information and facts about sites and areas of historical significance...... from the the time the Rolling Stones played in Soviet Warsaw, the street history of the Warsaw uprising, and a look at the some of the remains of the Warsaw Ghetto, amongst a raft of things to see and experience. Afterwards, we had some local dishes, where we sampled the best of Polish cuisine - yes, and that includes pirogi! ha Recommended if one wants a more personal and grounded view of the real history of the magnificent city of Warsaw.Written 26 March 2022
- kylemE2035NQ0 contributionsUnderwhelmedOur guide was wonderfully nice but we got just a 3 hour walk around town. I didn’t leave with any hidden gem information, stories, or really an added appreciation for Warsaw. Maybe it was a translation issue but the “walk” seemed unprepared and I left feeling underwhelmed. We tried to dig into more stories but our questions were mostly answered with, “I’m not sure.” Great walk but I would have learned more paying for data and using wiki. We also didn’t receive our local treat/food item per the ad. Again, as I’ve found with all locals, wonderful people, but for $50ish/person just walk around with access to google and go at your own pace.Written 9 March 2022
- Y1773CIlauraz0 contributionsDisappointmentI booked this tour as a source to find out more about Warsaw, see its alternative sides, here stories and local anecdotes. At first, I was not sure if our guide feels comfortable speaking in English. Secondly, to 96% of our questions, the answer was "I don't know". And the questions weren't hard. Like "what is in the building You are telling us now?", "why is Your mentioned character a hero?", "Who is painted in the murial You are showing us?". During the 3 hours spent together, walking large distances, the guide was not as a guide, but as a person who just walks along with us quietly. The information he told, was less that we had read preparing for our trip. Mostly we didn't understand where we are going and why.. If the description mentions "Discover why the Monument of Soldiers of the Kosciuszko Division is sarcastically called the "5 beers, please" monument" - we didn't find this out. "Do as the locals do, hop on a tram and munch on a tasty Polish "donut." - no tram, no donut, no sense of a local with us..Written 3 December 2021

On September 10th, we met Mona in front of a bakery. We were late and she was so gracious. She had some pastries ready for us. She brought us to ten places that night. She told us a little about each place. She also told us a little about the areas and showed us the Polin Museum on the way. Mona knew we were walking all day, so she took us on a bus to one of the furthest places so we didn't have to walk. We tasted pierogis at a hidden gem where we saw a woman making the pierogis! We had paczki from another bakery. She took us to a milk bar where we had beet soup and goulash. We also had beer and vodka! I wish we took photos of each place we went to and the food but we did take a photo of us with Mona tasting the vodka! We ate so much that night! I recommend Mona highly. She was a delight!

We booked an 3 hour, 10 tasting tour with Mona. She took us to very local places, told us about the history of the food, as well her memories from eating these foods in her upbringing, which was lovely. She was very knowledgeable and lovely and i would recommend her to anyone, it adds so much to a trip to have a local show you around and tell you the tales! Very good English.

Mona was a wonderful host, very knowledgeable & amenable. We booked a food tour but got so much more than this, we got a history tour as well.
Highly recommend this if you are going to Warsaw, do it early in your trip as it's a great way to familiarise yourself with the layout of the city.

We did this tour in the off-season and it was not as robust as we anticipated it would be, especially for the cost. Our tour guide, Marta was very nice and extremely pleasant. We would definitely do another tour with her again however the agenda for this tour was weak and lacked the exposure we anticipated.
We had difficulty finding some of the foods and some of the small restaurants were already packed full.
As a heads up, there was a lot of walking (which we enjoyed) and you don’t end the tour where you started.

Food is an excellent way to get to know the city you're visiting, and that was certainly the case in Warsaw. It was great to sample an array of flavors and dishes—from pierogis to Polish donuts—in different neighborhoods of the city, all the while learning more about it along the way. And since there were only two of us on the tour, it was even more exclusive.
We were also fortunate to have Mona as our guide. She's interesting, fun, knowledgeable, and brings a personal touch that creates added value to the overall experience. Hopefully, she'll be your guide, too.

This tour was just fantastic. Mona was our guide and we enjoyed our time with her in Warsaw immensely. She guided us through the city to try authentic Polish food and provided historical knowledge and insight into current happenings all at once. Mona is lovely. The food was delicious. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our tour with Malina thoroughly! She chose very thoughtful stops, where we got to try many dishes and drinks that were delicious, and interesting. She taught us lots of new lessons about Polish food culture, such as the "Milk Bar" restaurants and how to make various foods we were tasting, and about the drinks she introduced. She added bits of history as we walked too, which made this tour a nice complement to the Jewish history tour we had been on the previous day. We highly recommend this tour and especially Malina as a guide.

We had a great time with Malina! The experience was more than just food, it was an opportunity to both get to know the area’s culture and history. We told her our likes, including what foods we had prior to the tour , so that she was really able to design the night around making it a tasty, memorable experience.
One of our favorites for the night was the tartare - so fresh and so good! We also had traditional perogies that were incredibly good!
We truly enjoyed our time with Malina

Mona was a fantastic host to share both the history and the food of Warsaw. Each taste was fantastic, especially the pierogis! It’s a great way to get away from typical tourist stops and enjoy the city, eating where the locals eat.

We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was so informative and went out of her way to recommend other local activities and drinks/food to try. Her personal stories that she shared about her family, added to the tour, to help explain the sites we were seeing. All of the food tastings were great as well.

Hi, 4 people are perfect, but I had also 6 once time and it was a lot of fun too. Only in some places it could be possible that we will seat in two groups, on two tables.
