Overview
Sightseeing can be expensive, with tickets and transport quickly adding up. Explore Budapest for less with a Budapest Card that saves money on many attractions. Receive free tours and entry to sights such as Buda Castle, get discounts at restaurants, enjoy unlimited use of public transport, and more. Choose a card to fit your schedule, and collect it at your hotel for ease.
What to Expect
Book your required Budapest Card and then collect it at your hotel. Use the card to save on a host of attractions and activities and enjoy unlimited use of the city's public transport services, including the metro, buses, and trams.

Among other benefits, your card gives you free 1-time entry to top attractions, such as Buda Castle, the Hungarian National Gallery, Budapest History Museum, the Lukacs Bath, and more, along with two free walking tours—one in Buda and one in Pest. In addition, cardholders enjoy valuable discounts, between 10 and 50 percent, at many leisure venues and entertainment complexes, including select Danube boat trips, hop-on hop-off bus tours, thermal baths, concerts, and restaurants and cafes.

To make your sightseeing even easier, your card also comes with a free Budapest guidebook, complete with a city map and details of how you can use it at participating venues.

Terrible service, waste of money.

Purchased a 72 hour card by and official Budapest Card stall in Budapest. Was misinformed of the benefits as the vendor led us to believe we were buying a plus card instead of a regular card. Was very disappointed by the small number of attractions...More

Truly Terrible

This card is a waste of money. It does not have free access to any of Budapest’s best attractions. Much better off getting a travel card.

Waste of money

Avoid this card like the plague. So many wonderful sites and attractions to see in Budapest, and most of them will not be covered by this useless card. Buy it and let buyers' remorse haunt you as soon as you activate it.

Very useful!

I certainly recommend getting the Budapest card as it entities you to various discounts for the duration of your trip. It also makes traveling around the city so much easier on the metro and buses - I only wish we’d bought ours at the airport...More

Check the website for the card. There is a place you can buy the card at the airport and details of the location are given in the website

I do not think that you can. However, it's as easy as going to the Information desk at the airport arrivals and buying it. Not sure what you mean by transfer to hotel but if you want to use public transport then you get it... More
