An inexpensive, fun evening

The cruise included lovely views of the city lit up at night. Extra drinks are cheaper than at bars in the city and the service was very friendly. We did not get dinner so I can't speak about the food. The front viewing area gets slightly crowded passing parliament and the palace, but otherwise a fun and inexpensive evening.

It's about the cruise not the food
Budapest is a beautiful city made all the more beautiful when lit up at night. We opted for a cruise which offered a buffet dinner. We always assumed that the food wouldn't be very special and it proved to be the case. Not much choice and even less if you are vegetarian and it was just stodgy gnocchi. However we expected this because if we had wanted fine dining we would have paid more for an a la carte dinner. However, considering we were a captive audience on a boat, the drinks were very reasonably priced and two were included.
Overall it was a great cruise to see the sights, just make a decision beforehand whether you want no food option, buffet, or restaurant style.

Was better than anticipated

When booking this trip I was a little unsure weather to book this one or not as there was another trip which was a little pricer and that I was sort of set on... I worked out the pros and cons of each but this boat trip had a buffet with wider range of food which swayed my decision. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised as we were met with a large modern boat friendly staff and a glass of champagne!
There was also a live band playing classical music. The drink selection was good and there was a few free options although other drinks such as cocktails we’re reasonably priced. The food was very nice a large range including national Hungarian dishes and also lots of Desert options. The views were exceptional, I would definitely recommend seeing Budapest at night all lit up. There was also a photographer who took everybody’s photo which you had a chance to buy at the end which was 3000 forint . The band also came around and played a Piece for everyone individually although they offer you a CD to buy which is quite pricey and you feel obligated to buy so I would recommend enjoying there music when they play for the table by your side..
The view is fantastic from all seats on the boat a they have large windows but if you want a window set I would recommend getting there early... all in qall I’m glad that I chose this trip and not the other and it was definitely a bonus that we save on money as well!

A travel back in time
Wonderful experience on an old boat, with live classical music. The best part was the band who even came to us and played individually your chosen song. All the waiters and waitresses were very friendly and helpful. As my boyfriend was temporarily in a wheelchair - 4 boys basically carries him upstairs (smaller staircase straight out of the Titanic movie). Food selection wasn’t big, but enough - gnocchis, goulash and a turkey stew with local noodles with Hungarian sweet pie with different tastes for breakfast. The food needed a bit more salt and pepper to our taste - but that’s very usual in buffet restaurants as you need to cook for everyone. We recommend taking the buffet without drinks as you can buy them separately. For us 2x2 drinks was just the right amount!

OK not special
It was quite expensive for a buffet meal, however the service was good, and the live music was quite entertaining when we were going. It did take a while to get going properly ( with the boat starting) we got 2 drinks included with the price and the food and the bar was open which after the 2 was extra. I enjoyed myself whilst on holiday. I guess it could be worse

Amazing night

We booked this trip from one of the official agents while walking along the Danube, a group of six for the price of £38.00 each. We were asked to travel down to the jetty at 19-15 pm to embark. We were not to sure what to expect but once on the boat we were amazed, we were given a drink (preseco)when being shown to our table which was decorated (a large round table) an orchestra was playing and the ambiance was amazing. Food was self service and an amazing amount of choice. Waiters served the tables with drinks to which everybody received three drinks free of charge, The cruise lasted three hours and was worth every penny. To sum up an amazing night

COULDNT FAULT

Wow, this was the best experience. We were going to book the 4 course cruise but we really didn’t need to this was perfect for us! We boarded the boat in the pouring rain :( worried if this would affect the experience, however, the service, food, music and general atmosphere couldn’t be faulted - loved every minute. Our waiter David was funny, charming and very attentive (absolute legend, give this man a raise!!!). The musicians made me feel like I was on the titanic, made us feel special and very VERY romantic.

Great time

Cruise was great! We received 5 full Hungarian craft beers while cruising along the Danube. If you would like to take photos of the beautiful city of Budapest go outside and you will get great pics and videos! We ordered food and it was delicious. Our waiter Valentine was great! Each beer he brought he told us a little about and was very nice and personable. The string quartet is fantastic as well and they play the entire cruise! My husband and I enjoyed our time!

Quite Nice trip to have in Budapest. Nice views to the parliament building.
Was supposed to start at 7 but takes off at 8. If you do not wish to warm up then suggested to come later on.
Drinks at the bar are really affordable and two different live music acts at different parts of the cruise ship.

Valentine was an awesome waiter, this cruise exceeded all expectations. I had such a nice time, there was live music and everyone was personally serenaded which was beautiful. The wines were tasty and Valentine gave us his opinion which I appreciated. Great value, highly recommend the wine tasting cruise!
