- Pastalover140 contributionsA must do experience! We paid for a package including towels, robes, flip flops, swim caps, a private and lockable changing cabin and a couples massage. Very reasonably priced and a throughly lovely day. Many different pools to choose from, different temperatures to enjoy inside and out. Can recommend the indoor 40°C pool! Massages were incredible, definitely worth the extra payment. The massage therapists that we had definitely knew what they were doing. For a more budget friendly day, take your own towels and flip flops - they refer to them as slippers and they are mandatory. No toiletries are provided so take your own to have a wash after your stay. 5/5, would definitely recommend!Written 11 November 2024

- 765gittel0 contributionsDinner cruise on Budapest Danube river a sad experienceBe aware that even if you buy a three course dinner cruise - you will be getting a buffet. We were several tables asking if we were wrongly seated - but no, it was the buffet. So be prepared to stand in line. When you stand in line, you cannot see the banks and the buildings as the roof of the boat on the first floor is too low. The buffet was honestly miserable. First course: A thin soup, sad bread. Second course was gullash with noodles served just like in the school canteen in large steel pans. Third course, I’m not even sure what it was - puffed pastry with a compote inside. Price per person: 75 $ per person 🫣 we choose to laugh and agree that this experience was something to tell at home and laugh at later.Written 10 November 2024
- jazzy240 contributionsSpa is a Must Visit! The baths are amazing. We had read some negative reviews about cleanliness but didn't notice anything worse than you'd find in a public baths in the UK. It is a very old building with lots of people each day and we thought it was kept incredibly clean. We went before 9am, there were no queues and it cost us approx £20 with a cabin each. We stayed 5 hours as it was so relaxing. There are lots of different rooms and pools inside the building. Make sure you check one of the maps that are around as its easy to miss some of the hidden gems. One warning- take off ALL your jewellery. My Pandora bracelet was very badly tarnished by the minerals, although I managed to bring it back to life with a lot of hard work and good polish. Also, 2 towels are best, keep one for drying after. It's cheaper to buy a towel in the city than hire one, we got ours in aldi. Definitely go- it's a must visit!Written 10 November 2024
- KimRoams0 contributionsMisleading tour! This package is misleading and a rip off. There is no private spa or sauna in the Palm Room! There is only a small room with tropical plants, places to sit and expensive drinks. The “fruit bowl” is given to you in a premade plastic container and the “unlimited spring water” is a basic water dispenser with plastic cups. No service, in fact the women working in the area were extremely rude and unhelpful. Just buy a basic ticket if you want to visit this place. Much cheaper and it’s the same (super crowed) pools.Written 10 November 2024
- 274emmam0 contributionsLovely experienceWe got to the spa at 8am when it opened, staff were quick to serve us in the queue. We were given our wristbands and shown to our cabin. Cabin were clean and easy to use. When we got in the pool we were only ones in there which was great. We were able to try all the steam and sauna rooms before it got busy. Started to fill up just before 10am. Staff very friendly and helpfulWritten 9 November 2024
- Elaine S0 contributionsWorth a visit cheaper than othersEnjoyed the day there the thermal pool indoor and out plus the sauna and steam room good value for money cheaper than some of the others, tied in well with a day at Margaret IslelandWritten 9 November 2024
- Q2354SRdenises0 contributionsThoughtful, informative and very emotionalOur guide was Benjamin, a life-long member of the Jewish community in Budapest. He gave us a full recounting of the story of the Jews in Hungary. It was as emotional as it was interesting (and horrifying.) We visited the Dohany synagogue as well as the Jewish Museum and the Raoul Wallenberg Holocaust Memorial Park. This tour was outstanding! Well worth your time and money.Written 8 November 2024

- Hollie M0 contributionsMissleadingThe main outdoor bath was beautiful and very warm however the inside baths aren't as impressive. All staff were very rude which took a part of the experience away from us. I think it's very pricey for what you actually get.. Don't make the same mistake as us with this ticket "tasting" is not included in the spa, it is for a completely different venue. Do not forget flipflops as they are mandatory and will have to buy ones when you get there which is £8 / €12 for 1 pair. 3/5Written 7 November 2024

We were surprised to find that this cruise was on a large ship with 2 floors. The dinner guests sat downstairs in a fancy ballroom and the ‘just cruise/drinks’ guests were ushered upstairs to a fairly dingy room. Upstairs there were 5/6 large (seats for 10) tables and a few other chairs dotted around the edge of the room. We wanted a view so sat at the edge of the room. There was a quartet of Hungarian folk type instruments which played nice music for the duration (including a few sing-alongs). We were given vouchers for our drinks upon arrival and could use these at the bar upstairs. You can leave the dingy room to go for a walk outside on the deck which goes all the way around the ship and there is factual/historical information playing outside about the buildings along the river. Overall we had a nice time, just felt it could have been set up a bit better inside to allow everyone a view of the river!

Thank you for your feedback. It is not easy to organize the tables on the boat to have the perfect view at every table. However, we are trying to improve our service and have private tables also with better view. Give us another chance next time.

The good thing about this boat ride is that it's really affordable, so even though it wasn't what I expected, it was still a decent ride for the price. That being said, it's a boat geared to dinner guests, and everyone else is sent to a dimly lit back room with low ceilings that feels like an overcrowded wedding hall. Staff was unprofessional and literally yelled at people to go to the back of the boat. I thought we'd be able to order some snacks, but the menu was very limited. Eventually we figured out that we can head upstairs to the outside deck (no announcement, no mentions, just overheard someone asking) where it was much more comfortable, even though it was a chilly night. Another problem with this being a dinner boat is that it's out on the water for two hours. The Danube is fairly narrow, and the interesting sights to see are only a short bit away in each direction. An hour would be more than enough to see everything at a leisurely pace. Two hours was way too much time. I had no idea when I booked that this cruise was geared to diners. Unless you're actually interested in a dinner cruise, I'd recommend booking a boat that's specifically for sightseeing.

Arrived at 6.30 to a very warm welcome by the staff, glass of fizz or juice on arrival was included in my ticket. Was handed my glass of fizz as I boarded the boat, and asked to proceed to the rear. At the rear of the boat as a room with 9 tables each with 8 chairs around them, I too a seat on one of the tables, as the room became more and more full up seats became fully occupied and people had to stand, from boarding to setting sail there was a violinist tuning his violin (perhaps should have been done prior. We set sail at 7.15 and immediately an abundance of staff proceeded to fill the room taking drink orders. In this room alone I could count , 3 bar persons (white shirts) & 6 waiters (black shirts) to cater for round 100 guests. The drink we brought to you with the bill left on the table for you to settle. (There is a drink token option when booking). I ordered a mojito to compare it to the rumpus tiki bar nearby. Well a mojito is was not. What I received tasted like water with lime wedges placed into the glass, water & mint leaves, no rum and sugar round the rim of the glass. For the sum of 1,400HUF (£6). I quickly finished my “water” and ordered a beer, much better! The views from the room was not the easiest to see so I proceeded to the second floor to access the terrace the first minutes was spectacular then unfortunately there wasn’t anything to see afterwards. I headed back in to go down to our room at the rear of the boat to do this you must pass dinning guests (on this floor there was around a further 15 staff). And spent much of the rest of the cruise sipping my bear and listening to the violinists play. On docking staff lined up by the exit to say goodbye. The staff 5*, the music 4*(try to sell you cds at £35 each), the cruise 3*, the drink 1.5*

Terrible!!
Went aboard, sat at a table & that’s it. No welcome, no information on buildings you pass by, young waiter had no idea what he was doing, 5 items on food menu, one which they didn’t have so we ended up with crisps. However what entirely ruined this trip was the awful violin music which was constant for 2 hours, screeching & coming into your private space at your table right into your face expecting tips as they played. Every “tune” was the same, you could see everyone on the boat looking around thinking the same. Was just awful.

We paid for the drinks package which included 3 beers or 2 cocktails. This was a rip off - the beers were half full and the cocktails were watered down rubbish.
When we arrived we got given seats downstairs in the back of the boat. You couldn’t see anything at all. The windows were so dirty with fingerprints that you couldn’t see out. Thankfully, the saving grace is that you can go out and stand on the terrace for the entire time (luckily we had the weather for it) so that’s exactly what we did.
Tip: just go with the basic package, stand on the terrace and enjoy the sights.

It’s was alright, not what I expected but maybe that’s own my fault. You had the option of either upstairs (where there was music and a bar) or downstairs Perhaps they were oversubscribed but there was just tables and an empty bar and only a few people. It was too busy to get seated upstairs.
Most people were upstairs and only a few people downstairs so as you could imagine, there wasn’t any atmosphere nor any staff to check on us, we felt forgotten.
In terms of the sightseeing, it was hard to take pictures due onto the glare of the internal lights. I would go on the Danube again but not with the same firm. I’ll be more careful booking next time.
If there’s any redemption it’s that I only to pay £12-13 each, if I had to pay more I’d have marked the score lower (accepting you get what you pay for sometimes).

I could never in good conscience recommend this experience. the only reason I can even give it two stars is because our waitress was sweet and was just doing what she was told. This was really awful. First off it is supposed to be a way for you to see the beautiful night views on the Danube. The lighting in this boat is SO bright you literally can’t see out the windows to see any views besides Parliment which you can only see because it’s so well lit up. I kept hoping they would dim the lights as we got moving but no, views are terrible due to the reflection which seems to ruin the whole point of this trip! Also, it was a total bait and switch on the drinks. We purchased cruise with cocktail package which allowed us a welcome Prosecco and 2 cocktails of our choice while cruising. When the waitress came to take our order, she told us we could only order from a limited cocktail menu which only included terrible sweet drinks we had no interest in. Couldn’t even order a basic Gin and Tonic, could only order terrible things like a Pina Colada or Sex on the beach and similar drinks. Yuck. There is NOTHING, not even in any small print that says your choices are limited. Bait and switch, I just want what I paid for. This is absolutely NOT worth it, we were like cattle funneled in and out. Save your money.

Thank you for the detailed feedback! We are sincerely sorry that you did not feel comfortable with us and that you did not enjoy our programs! On our ship, the cocktail package includes 7 cocktails, from which you can choose 2 types or 3 beers if you can't find something special for you from the range of cocktails. We are very sorry that none of our offers won your liking! Of course, you can walk around on our ship and, in good weather, you can even sit on the roof, or take a walk there while you admire some of our famous buildings illuminated!
We are trying to do our best so that we can lower the lighting you mentioned a little and maybe it will be more enjoyable to admire the buildings! Thank you for the advice!

Lovely evening taking in the wonderful sights of Budapest. Drinks very reasonably priced considering they have a captive audience and the service from Valentin was excellent… he made sure we were okay for drinks the entire duration of the cruise and spent time chatting to us…. a very friendly guy who is excellent at his job!

Excellent cruise on a beautiful historic ship. We went for the welcome drink package which means you are sat out the way of the musicians and dancers, however you can get up and walk around to watch. Extra drinks and food are a really good price and ship is relatively quiet for it's size. Budapest is stunning from the river at night.

Beautiful boat ride down the river, very pricey though with what you get. Servers were lovely and music/entertainment was good! They don’t tell you where to look or when, so I recommend sitting outside so you don’t miss any of the views. Also recommend just paying for normal ticket, our ‘unlimited’ drinks were actually wine/beer tasting 5 small glasses and I don’t personally think this was worth the price.
