Budapest’s sights are fairly widely dispersed, so seeing them on foot can be time-consuming. This hop-on hop-off City Sightseeing bus lets you cover them in comfort, with audio commentary to provide background. Hop on or off at any of the stops on two routes when you wish to create your own personal itinerary. Choose from a 24-hour or 48-hour pass, or upgrade to a 48- or 72-hour pass with an included cruise and night tour.
What to Expect
Book your desired option and travel independently to any of the stops along the two routes. Your ticket is valid for your selected duration from when you first board and buses arrive every 15 minutes or so. See the Itinerary for stops.
Settle on the open upper deck or air-conditioned lower deck and don a headset to hear the multilingual audio commentary about the sights. Then, stay aboard to view the landmarks along the full loop, or hop on and off at any of the stops to explore further.
Perhaps alight to peruse the food stalls at Budapest’s Great Market Hall or admire the Parliament's beautiful neo-Gothic architecture. Alternatively, step out to see Heroes Square, view the Szechenyi Baths, stroll on the Margaret Bridge, or delve into other sights.
If you’ve upgraded, enjoy an included daytime or evening Danube River cruise, plus a panoramic city night tour.

I see little point in taking these buses when it is wet unless you really are a die hard. Sitting downstairs you will see nothing much and the windows would steam up. Luckily our two day ticket provided a dry sunny but cool day and...More

NOT easy I am afraid. These are standard busses that do not lower during stops and do not have a ramp, and the stop at every station is only a minute. The service is not designed for this.

Hi , due to the traffic I would say about an hour to an hour and a half. Sit back and relax and put your headphones in to listen to the commentary . Enjoy !

No, they give you a wristband (if memory serves) which you flash on boarding. I don’t remember a customer service place, but there were staff at stops who spoke good English.
