Budapest’s sights are fairly widely dispersed, so seeing them on foot can be time-consuming. This hop-on hop-off City Sightseeing bus lets you cover them in comfort, with audio commentary to provide background. Hop on or off at any of the stops on two routes when you wish to create your own personal itinerary. Choose from a 24-hour or 48-hour pass, or upgrade to a 48- or 72-hour pass with an included cruise and night tour.
What to Expect
Book your desired option and travel independently to any of the stops along the two routes. Your ticket is valid for your selected duration from when you first board and buses arrive every 15 minutes or so. See the Itinerary for stops.

Settle on the open upper deck or air-conditioned lower deck and don a headset to hear the multilingual audio commentary about the sights. Then, stay aboard to view the landmarks along the full loop, or hop on and off at any of the stops to explore further.

Perhaps alight to peruse the food stalls at Budapest’s Great Market Hall or admire the Parliament's beautiful neo-Gothic architecture. Alternatively, step out to see Heroes Square, view the Szechenyi Baths, stroll on the Margaret Bridge, or delve into other sights.

If you’ve upgraded, enjoy an included daytime or evening Danube River cruise, plus a panoramic city night tour.

My evening boat tour is included in the 2 day pass from Hop-on and Hop-off city tour. It was a great way to see the city at night. It was exactly one hour up and down the river with great view of the city. Bad...More

Great value - familiarise yourself with the layout on your first day in Budapest.

Bought a 48 hour ticket and used it for the first two days of our city break. Ticket included a night bus tour and a boat trip down the Danube. Boat trip is good, though we thought it stopped at Margaret Island and it didn’t....More

Lack of information

Really disappointed with this tour. Staff were unhelpful and sometimes rude. Female staff member at the front of our bus was obviously 'interested' in the bus driver and the two were inappropriately embracing at the front of the bus at each stop - unbelievably unprofessional...More

Days and Nights On the Buses....and Boats

Was offered as a recommendation by the Hotel, well worth the cost. Took the whole tour and hopped off and on at all the attractions we wanted to explore. Open topped bus with prime views, others are available and plastic macs were supplied on the...More
