About
Taking a private Jewish heritage tour ensures a thorough visit to the points of interest with your very own professional guide. Start the tour whenever you want, including sights of your preference. Take a walk through the former ghetto, the historical Jewish Quarter of Budapest, visit the largest functioning synagogue of Europe in addition to other monumental ones, witness the everyday life of the still active and lively area with numerous kosher shops, restaurants and monuments representing the events of the past, and honoring the deeds of well-known and nameless heroes. Pickup a tiny bit of information on each corner, and combine it with the general knowledge of Budapest granted to you through the guide, and during the visit to the Jewish Museum.

Today we went on the Hungarian Koncert tour, Private Jewish Heritage tour with hotel pickup in Budapest. To say Abel was fantastic is an understatement. He knew everything, showed us everything we wanted to see and is such a great young man. I wish every tour we went on had an Abel. Ask for him and you will not be disappointed .
Best tour we have been on.

I booked this tour through Viator. They picked us up at the hotel. The tour lasted approximately 2 hours. Our guide was very knowledgeable. If you are interested in history, what happened to the Jewish community than this tour will not disappoint.

Our guide - whose name I unfortunately do not remember - was not originally scheduled to be out guide, but we lucked out. She was a young Jewish woman who grew up in Budapest, as did, amazingly enough, her parents and grandparents. She was a bit soft-spoken (for my 85-year old mother) but very knowledgeable and interested in what she showed us and spoke about. We were able to ask her a lot of questions about modern Jewish life in Budapest as well as how her family managed.
The only reason I didn't give this 4 stars was that I had thought the tour was to be about 3.5-4 hours and it was only about 2.5 hours. Not sure if we missed things.

Our guide, Borsca was amazing. She brought this horrid history home. The synagogue was beautiful. Based on a Christian church and it has an organ. Her knowledge of this history and some of her own gave us so much information. Anyone who tours in Budapest should see this.
