Sightseeing in Budapest can mean lots of walking and standing, especially when ticket lines are involved. Enjoy some of the city’s top sights with less effort on this Danube River evening cruise. With a welcome drink in hand, take a seat and let landmarks such as the Chain Bridge and Parliament glide past. A choice of departures and optional food-and-wine upgrade offer extra flexibility.
What to Expect
When booking, choose between two or three departures, with timings dependent on the season, and pick a cruise length.
Head to the river dock near Pest’s Szent Istvan Park to board the comfortable boat and enjoy a seasonal welcome drink or orange juice. Then, settle on the interior deck, which is heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer, or the open deck, where blankets are available. The boat also offers complimentary Wi-Fi and a bar where you can purchase drink at your own expense.
Then, admire Budapest’s UNESCO-listed Danube embankments while you cruise. Glide by the Hungarian Parliament, Buda district, and Chain Bridge, and on later evening departures, view the night-time illuminations. If you’ve upgraded, savor a Hungarian charcuterie-and-cheese platter with a glass of red wine.
Your experience finishes back at the starting dock.

Docking boat was old and run down with lots of trash visible. Luckily the boat you actually ride on is decent. However, windows were tinted so if you did not get a seat on the deck you could not take good pictures. The welcome drink...More

We arrived 5 minutes before the boat departed. We didn’t receive a welcome drink and when we mentioned that to one of the waiters he just shrugged. Waiters and waitresses seemed quite rude but we found that to be common in Budapest. The outdoor area...More

One of the best value for the money things we did in two weeks in Europe. For $20, we had a beautiful ~50 minute boat ride on the Danube at dusk/night. A small drink is included with the option to purchase more.

Hi, Seem to remember seeing the Viking Cruise port near the Chain Bridge. So I guess that it would take about 45 mins to walk to the Portum Line dock for the night cruise. However, you could get the metro to cut back on... More
