Fun walking tour with great people
On my first day of Budapest I wanted to see the Jewish quarter as I'd heard this was a must-do activity. Attila's ruinpub tour was perfect for seeing all the main sights, visiting some funky bars, understanding the culture and history of the Jewish quarter, and getting good recommendations of local places to eat. Was also fun having a drink with Attila and the other participants towards the end of the tour. In short, I'd recommend this tour to tourists looking for culture and history

Private tour of Ruinpubs
Nov 2018 • Solo
Attila was an excellent guide. Although the evening was cold, I was thankful for the tour and was happy the tour was arranged, despite me being a solo tourist. I tend to be more on the introverted side of things, so the solo trip may not have been the best for Attila. He was a very knowledgeable guide and I enjoyed the known and personal history he shared about the areas of Budapest. He was enthusiastic about the tour and areas visited. I appreciated his patience with me as I'm sure I wasn't his most talkative or exciting tour. One to let things sink in, I greatly appreciate the sights and knowledge about the areas and enjoyed seeing how gentrification in Budapest compares to gentrification happening in the United States.

Wonderful Tour!
Apr 2018 • Friends
I loved my time with Atilla – he was funny, informative, and welcoming. The spots we stopped on our tour were a good combination of the "greatest hits" of the neighborhood and the more underground, unknown places. A small group at only 8, we were able to get to know Atilla and the other group-members, which I deeply appreciated as a solo traveller. I would reccomend Budapest Flow to anyone!!

Very interesting, small size tour, with loads of great information

This was the best decision we made on our trip to Budapest. Attila was fantastic, and we were actually very lucky that we were the only people who booked him. So we had a private tour of the Jewish Quarter! That wouldn't be the case in the summer, but Attila keeps his tours small on purpose. The sights were really cool, and things that we never would have thought twice about had we just been roaming the streets on our own. In fact, we passed some of the spots prior to the tour and never noticed. Attila takes the time to answer all of your questions and shows you a side of Budapest tourists rarely see. Go to the Parliament and what not on your own, this is much more of a local tour. Cool bars, cool art, and cool shops.

You won't regret booking Buspestflow!

Perfect Sunday Morning Tour
The 3 hour walking tour I took with Atilla felt less like a guided tour and more like a morning with local friend. Since the other tour mates cancelled it was just him and myself walking through the Jewish district taking the sights. Atilla and I walked and talked while he directed my attention to street art I otherwise would have missed. He knew a lot about the pieces and wasn’t shy about going into the complexities and political implications of the art. He was patient while I sampled food at the farmers market and browsed antiques at the flea market. I was grateful for the recommendations for food - I returned that night to a restaurant we passed. I also purchased a book by a Hungarian author, pointed out by my guide, while we were on the tour. I highly recommend this tour!

Amazing tour in small groups with a local
Jan 2018 • Solo
Attila was amazing, giving us (only 3) real insights about the ruinpubs area from not only an artistic and historical perspective, but also a social and political context. I felt the tour was much more a dialogue rather than just a blunt presentation. Attila made his explanations really interesting and has a broad range of knowledge on every topic! I learnt a lot.

I would advise to take this tour at the beginning of your trip, because Attila has excellent recommendations!

Thank you.

A great tour with a great tour guide!
Dec 2017 • Couples
Attila is a great tour guide. He was very kind, helpful and he answered all of our questions, even the ones not connected to the tour itself. He had many great recommendations, besides all of the amazing spots he showed us. If you want to see an interesting part of Budapest, filled with amazing places you probably won't find on your own, through a local's eyes, this is the tour for you. We had so much fun with Attila, we even had some drinks and a long chat after the tour. I could not recommend this tour more.

Not to be missed!
Nov 2017 • Friends
This was one of our highlights in Budapest. Atilla was a delightful & engaging tour guide who provided a local person's view of the Jewish section and the Runi pub culture. Stops along the way were thoughtful, unique and interesting, and he was extremely kind and knowledgeable. The four of us who went on the tour would highly recommend this experience!

Ruin Pubs & Alternative Spots of Budapest Tour - Wish I had taken this tour sooner!
Aug 2017 • Solo
This was such a great introductory tour! Attila knows so much about Budapest's amazing culture, history and local hot spots. I took this tour half way through my 5 day trip and I really wish I had taken it on my first day. I spent the rest of my time revisiting all the places he took me to. He gives you great local recommendations for food, shopping and drinking. Basically all the information you need to really experience Budapest. I had a fantastic time and was so impressed by everything I learned in 3 hours. Highly, highly recommend this tour!

Highlight of stay in Budapest!
May 2017 • Couples
Attilla, a delightful youg Hungarian, took us on a wonderful 2.5-3 hour walking tour of Budapest. His maximum group is 6 people, so you do not feel like a herd and you can hear his commentary and ask questions whenever you want. Attila's tour took us into the Jewish Quarter where we explored great street art, the famous ruin bars, designer stores, traditional cake shops, great cafes and restaurants. We learnt a lot about Hungarian history, culture and politics from Attila who clearly loves this city with all its contradictions! He also gave us some good tips re the Sunday Farmers' market at Szimpla ruin bar, the Flower and craft market at Ankert and a Flea market. We can strongly recommend this walking tour!
