Select your theater seating and tour option on booking. Then, travel independently to the Budai Vigadó concert hall in Budapest in time for the 8pm show.
Settle into your chosen seating, and applaud as the curtain rises and the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble takes the stage. Established in 1951, the ensemble consists of 34 dancers, 14 members of the Gypsy Orchestra, and musicians from the Hungarian Folk Orchestra. Together, they showcase authentic Hungarian folk music, and traditional folk dances and costumes for all to see and enjoy.
Savor the colorful repertoire of music and song, watching as the costumed artistes perform centuries-old dances, and listening out for familiar melodies — much of the music inspired composers such as Liszt and Bartók. The show is performed in two 40- to 45-minute segments, with an intermission between.
After the show, leave the hall, bringing your experience to an end. Alternatively, if you’ve upgraded for the late-evening dinner cruise, be shown to the nearby boat at the riverside.
Then, relax on a romantic Danube cruise, passing floodlit sights like the Chain Bridge and Parliament, and enjoying a delicious, all-you-can-eat buffet dinner and two complimentary drinks in the candlelit salon.
Your experience then concludes when you disembark.
