About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 97mattg0 contributionsAwful ExperienceAwful. We were a group of 5 and were at the coach at 7am and they told us they didn’t have our name on the booking, despite us receiving confirmation emails and details of where to meet, and the exact coach to get. The coach was full, so we were told a minibus would come for us. This never came - we waited for an hour and a half in the freezing cold. A refund now been issued but no further compensation given, despite us waiting for an hour and a half after being told a minibus would come and that we would receive a phone call, which we didn’t. Very disappointed.Written 9 November 2024

- 977lemas0 contributions10/10!Trip was well organised and informative. The coach was on time when picking us up from the stops and the instructions were clear on how to find them each time. Would recommend this lovely day trip.Written 6 November 2024
- 924gemmar0 contributionsFab day all round :-)Travelled solo on the day trip to Peles Castle, Brasov and Bran Castle, met some fab people on this day trip.It was a long day as the return was 4 hrs to get back as was on a sunday but was well worth the long journey. Adrian our tour guide was great at keeping everyone informed re bus times, meeting places, information re the castles and local area. Would definately book again if I was to return to Bucharest with family/ friends :-)Written 6 November 2024
- monEnglish0 contributionsRomania castles day tour.We throughly enjoyed our full day trip from Bucharest for the castles tour. The highlight was Draculas castle on the day of Halloween our trip date. Our tour guide Adrian was informative and funny with his many stories. The trip was a long day from starting 7.15 am arriving back in Bucharest at 10pm! A must do trip when visiting Romania with stunning countryside in Transylvania region.Written 3 November 2024
- ianmU4562HB0 contributionsLong bus ride.Hate to leave a bad review but this trip was 13 hours from start to finish. At least 10 of those hours were spent on the bus. Did this tour on a Sunday and I’m told traffic is worse Sunday so maybe this trip is more enjoyable on the weekdays. Traffic was so slow that we didn’t have time to walk around Braşov and instead just drove through the town due to time constraints. We should have just skipped it entirely because the bus just slowly crawled through the towns jammed streets and it was not enjoyable. Maybe it would be better if they did plies castle first then Dracula’s castle and then end the tour in Braşov with passengers taking the train back to Bucharest to spare the awful bus ride back to town. The guide and driver did their best but the itinerary just doesn’t work.Written 1 November 2024
- carolinemP4657QX0 contributionsGreat day outGreat day out with a fabulous tour guide who was really knowledgeable. The castles were great although I did expect to see more Dracula at brand castle but was still not disappointedWritten 1 November 2024
- Beth M0 contributionsAMAZING TOUR & GUIDE (& coach driver!!!)Petru our tour guide was INSANE! My partner and I have been travelling Europe over the past few years. I’ve always been off the idea of tours with a tour guide as I’ve thought it would be quite boring and I wouldn’t be able to explore how I’d like. HOWEVER, after trying this tour, I will definitely be trying more. Petru was amazing. A great sense of humour and the tour allowed us to either walk around at our own pace or follow the group. We simply had to meet back at the bus at a certain time. There was an issue with the coach and within 10 minutes we’d pulled into a gas station and got onto a new one! Perfectly executed. Plenty of breaks during the drive, which I have to say went very very quickly! When we started out last journey to Bran Castle, there was some horrific traffic, that ever was abnormal for the locals. We were set to get to Bran castle an hour after it shut after being on a 1 mile road for almost 1 hour due to roadworks. Petru called the manager of Bran castle, who happened to be one of his friends, and we got to go round the castle at our own pace while it was empty. While this is an experience that isn’t promised in the tour, it was amazing as we didn’t have to get through crowds! Thank you so much for our tour! I will be recommending you to everyone!Written 26 October 2024
- Samantha D0 contributionsA very long day with several additional costsI was surprised to find that the entry ticket to Bran castle was not included nor was a guided tour. We just walked around on our own. We had a guided tour of Peres castle but paid extra to go to the first floor. Basically you are paying for a bus trip and minimum guiding. The distances covered are large and the traffic was bad so we did not get back to Bucharest until 10.30pm having left at 7.15am. A very long day. Both castles are actually quite small. Braşov is nice but was very busy the day we visited.Written 21 October 2024
- athanasiosk4520 contributionsAn amazing experience led by a great guideOur tour guide was Vlad and the driver was Nick, and both were superb at their task. Our group was punctual but so were they so we managed to get in time everywhere with enough personal and guided time. Vlad was a superb tour guide and a shining example to people in the tourism industry, feeling the energy of the group, feeding us with information and anecdotes as much as possible and elevating the experience much beyond what it would have normally been. Peles is breathtaking through and through, Bran is beautiful on the outside with great street food, and a worthwhile experience despite the lackluster inner castle, and Brasov is lovely. Still, without Vlad, all three would have been lesser. Can't recommend enough.Written 20 October 2024
- amazingstoke_Pup0 contributionsSHOCKING EXPERIENCEMyself & three friends had booked on the 12hr coach tour from Bucharest to Draculas castle, to start with, we were at the coach pickup point on time and it was totally disorganised, quite a number of coaches were waiting with no boards or placards to say which tour/ language they were, so we had to ask every single coach tour guide if we were on the list. Once we found our coach we got going, we had only travelled 50 miles and we stopped for a break at a very small service area, there were also many other coaches stopped there, the service area wasn’t big enough for the amount of people there, we had 15 minutes to use the toilet & grab a coffee, the line for the facilities was very long, we were told that no food or drink was allowed on the coach. We drank the coffee as quick as we could, then as we walked back to the coach the driver started driving off, we all ran to flag him down but he totally ignored us, so there we were, stranded at a service area in the middle of nowhere with no contact details for the driver, firstly, the driver & tour guide (think his name is Andre) had a duty of care to all the passengers/ customers, they didn’t do a head count before leaving the service area, this totally shocks me. We asked other coach drivers who were on the same route in the coach park if they could take us to the next stop, they all refused, luckily, a kind school coach driver gave us a lift to the next stop where we knew that we could catchup with the original coach. When we found our coach, Andre the guide looked surprised to see us, as you can imagine we had a few words to say to him, he was obviously very inexperienced & had no training as we had to tell him how to do his job, we totally missed out on the first castle, for which Andre did refund us, but he seemed to find what happened amusing. Draculas castle was so busy that we lost the will, it was a very long & stressful day, we were so happy to eventually return to Bucharest. My advice is, DONT BOOK THIS TOUR, UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE & HAVING TO RESORT TO HITCHIKING. BOOK AT YOUR PERIL.Written 18 October 2024
- Zippy-Oz0 contributionsGetYourGuide / Eastern European Experience – From Bucharest: Peles Castle, Brasov & Bran Castle Day TripA full day’s tour (i.e. over 12.5 hrs long from start to finish) taking in some amazing sights along the way. However, as with many organised day trips, we were pushed for time (especially given we were a large tour group): Firstly, Peles Castle was closed on the Tuesday when we were there – so a short visit of 40 mins was allocated (which was just enough time to walk down to the Castle from the coach drop-off, receive some information from our guide, take a few photos, and walk back up the steep road to our coach, which was 10 mins late in getting back to collect us). Approx. 75 mins driving time thereafter to arrive at Bran Castle, where we were given 80 mins to self-tour the Castle – this part felt rather rushed. Curiously, there were other tour groups that had their guide accompany them during their tour of the Castle. Several passengers bought their tickets online to save time queuing at the Castle for tickets. Risking it, we purchased our tickets rather quickly on-site as (thankfully) there was no queue and several self-administered ticket machines available to us. Do bear in mind, it is a rather steep walk to arrive at the entrance of the Castle. As our guide did not accompany us, we entered & undertook a self-guided tour ourselves – very busy with other tour groups present, and, as much as I would have appreciated reading more of the available information, I wasn’t able to do so at leisure. A truly amazing Castle - full of various nooks & crannies, hidden stairways, historical accounts, and a couple of rooms also dedicated to Dracula & related stories. Once we left the Castle, we just about had enough time to buy some souvenirs before needing to get back to the coach for our departure. Again, the coach dropped us off about 5-10 mins walk away from the Castle, so that also had to be factored into our timings. I could easily have spent twice as long here however. A truly fascinating location. Luckily, only a 30 mins drive to reach Brasov, where we were given 2 hrs ‘free’ time and which also ended up being our lunch stop. The coach dropped us off about 10 mins walk from the historical old town - after a brief description of what was in the vicinity to see & do (once we reached the main square), our tour guide left us to our own devices. However, I was expecting a proper walking tour of Brasov, as indicated in the tour description. Hence, I’m unsure what happened to our ‘included’ walking tour ...? By this stage it was approx 2.45-3 pm, and we were quite hungry, hence, took in a few of the tourist attractions in the main square, before finding a very good, hot Americano coffee at the Transylvania Bakery (on Stada Republicii) and purchasing some delicious kurtos for dessert (eaten after our pre-packed lunch). The coach was also 10-12 mins late in arriving for our initial pick-up @ 7.30am in Piata Universitatii, although we had been requested to be ready by 7.20am. Very good, professional driving by our coach driver, and some interesting information / history shared with us by our tour guide as well throughout the day. Given the amount of travel time from/to Bucharest and then between the various tourist sights, it was worth the price of having our own comfortable travel sorted out throughout the day.Written 16 October 2024
- Passenger674629937930 contributionsDo it!Such a great tour! Otilia was our guide and she was insightful and friendly. I like that we left early and got to the first castle before the swarms of people got there. The Bran castle is meh...but you can't not go.Written 13 October 2024
