We had a great time walking through the streets of Budapest with Bianca as our guide. We tried lots of local fare like langos and a sausage and lovely strudel. It was nice to speak to local guide about their experiences living in Budapest - it gave our tour an authentic feel with personal touches. Bianca was really knowledgeable. Thanks so much we definitely recommend this event if you are going to be in Budapest - obviously turn up hungry because we were absolutely stuffed by the end!!!

A fantastic insight into the history and culture of the Hungarian Ruin bars.( Bianka ) our guide was excellent and took us to 3 of the iconic bars and explained in great detail the stories of each of them … it’s a great tour and we would highly recommend.

Eliz greeted me at my hotel lobby. She was so kind to wait for me since my flight got a bit delayed. She was very nice and knowledgeable not only anout the food but also about hungarian culture and history. We walked to all the difrerent restaruranta chatting interesting conversations. All the food stops were great ! We try 2 savory typical dishes and two desserts ! I recommend this tour to anybody interesting in more that just food.

Karoly was an excellent guide. He was extremely well informed and gave us a fantastic tour. It’s well worth using a guide as you get so much more out of your visit. He gave us good tips for places to see and eat during our weekend.

Really interesting tour plus a chance to have a great conversation and ask questions about anything. Although it might seem pricey, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening with Bianca…worth every penny and I don’t even drink! The ruins bars are colorful, quirky and play an important role in the culture of the city. This is a great tour to do when you first arrive, where you can not only visit three bars and experience the Jewish quarter, but also get personalized recommendations for restaurants and other places to visit.

Bianca was a wonderful guide. She not only knew her history, but also was very open and welcoming of our questions. We sampled four foods, and the restaurants were clearly best choices. All places were easily walkable, and Bianca described points of interest as we went. She thoughtfully provided a list of recommended restaurants via WhatsApp after the tour. We loved the small, personalized group, and the short duration fit easily into our plans.

Since the group tours were already booked out and I only had this one single day in Budapest, I decided to do a private tour for one person. Having slept too little on that day, I wasn't really ready for exchange with another person, so naturally, I was afraid that the tour might end up being awkward. Thankfully, I was wrong. My tour guide was a charming person who showed me around the city and hat lots of interesting things to tell. The two hours were full of interesting conversations about Hungarian cuisine, language and history. I loved the food selection and the the places where we had the food. Beware, though, that Bulgarian food is quite heavy, so make sure to have enough space for it.

We would highly recommend the ruins bar tour with our guide Eliz. She was very friendly and informative. We went to some bars that we would not have been able to find on our own, and learnt the history of the ruined bars. Janine and Nick

We had a really great fun tour! Eliz and Adam were very friendly and knowledge hosts and took us to great places with delicious food and great stories. Very relaxed; it felt like being out with friends, but special ones who knew a lot about the city and its culture. Lots of great tips for the rest of our trip too. Köszönöm!

The guide was excellent and the local street food he introduced us to was delicious. He also provided great information about the history and sites in Budapest.

Alice did a terrific job telling about the history of the districts that we visited. We learned about the origins of the food we sampled and she shared her own family history in making these foods at special times of year. While all of the food we sampled was delicious, I must say the iced coffee at The Strudel House was my favorite. This tour was great, bring your appetite. As a note I am not able to walk long distances and the amount we walked was very doable for me.

We had a lovely time with our tour guide Bianka as we walked through the street trying traditional Hungarian delights , Langos, chimney cake, sausages and of course Strudel all delicious and generous portions. We could not have asked for a better tour and we were so full and couldn’t eat another thing. Highly recommend this tour

A tour around the Jewish Quarter / Ruin Bars wasn’t on the top of my list when I planned to visit Budapest but I loved every second! Trying news bars and drinks (shout out to cherry beer!) was so much fun, especially led by Fanni! She is so knowledgeable and made the experience fun to meet new people and explore areas I hadn’t considered. She taught the history of the Jewish Quarter well and I loved learning about the history of such a beautiful country. Would 100% recommend!
