Completed an incomplete and unorganized food tour with Agnes. My son and I started the food tour at a local indoor market and half the market was closed, and were limited to trying pastries. We later stopped by a corner shop pastry place called Vaj. I felt this was an establishment was not unique and people stopped by for coffee and pastries. Agnes then attempted to find local places to eat and all three restaurants were closed. Agnes mentioned every time she was 99% sure the restaurants are open and were not. She then attempted to see and try another two places and after one hour of walking, I decided to end the tour. The food tour was poorly planned and our tour guide should have planned ahead of time to ensure the establishments were open for business. Instead of relying on Google to check if the establishments were open, Agnes could have called the restaurant instead. I do not recommend this food tour to potential customers and certainly not worth $241 USD.

Our guide, Balazs, was absolutely amazing! If I could rate this even higher than a ten, I would rate it a 20++++. He met us in the lobby of our hotel and we began our tour of Budapest. Personalization was perfect. We wanted our tour to include information about local culture and he delivered. When we ask ourselves "what are the best parts of our river cruise through Hungary, Austria and Germany" this personalized tour of Budapest always comes in at #1.

We had an amazing time being guided by Agnes (we called her St Agnes because she is just angelic!). Her knowledge on the city, the history, art, culture and fabulous recommendations made our Budapest stay perfect. Well Done City Unscripted for having such a wonderful staff member that cares about the clients interest and well being during the tour. Thank You Agnes!!

Our private tour with Raja was great. He contacted us prior to the excursion to get a feel for what we wanted to see and experience and PERSONALIZED it perfectly. It is THE ONLY way to get acquainted to a new country.

Kristzian met us at our hotel. After asking us what we were interested in doing, he decided that a tour of the Food Market was what we would do. As we walked to the market, he told us about the history of the area we were in. At the market, we toured the first floor filled with local foods and alcohol. On the second floor, we decided to try some traditional Hungarian dishes that were very good. We left the market and traveled by public transportation to a pastry shop where we had pastry and lemonade. We concluded the tour with Kristzian sharing additional information about his city.

We literally only had 5 hours so rather than wonder round on our own not really know where we were going or looking at we decided to do the tour. So glad we did. We got to see what we needed, understood what it was, got to ask questions and chat about other things and best of all it was just us, no large groups of others. Would definitely recommend. Our guide Sándor was very knowledgeable.

Please stop sending me requests for a review. This has been requested before. Because you do not leave me alone, even after requesting that you stop asking for a review, I am giving a review. I did not want to give a review because the tour was bad. You were not at your best that day and knew it. Your spoke so softly I could not understand you and even after I asked you speak up you went back to speaking softly, adding to the frustration. Your English is difficult to understand, too. You should not be giving tours in English. Many things you did not know. You did take us to some good places, some highlights of Pest. You should have taken us walking on side-streets instead of main streets so I could hear you above the traffic as you did not increase the volume of your voice even with loud traffic - which does not make sense; are you insensitive to your clients or do you just fall back into bad habits? Working with you was very frustrating and I wish I had another tour guide. You also walk so slowly that it increased the boredom of the tour. Yes, it was a hot day. But you cannot constantly use the heat as an excuse for a poor tour. You smoke and your breath stank. It could have been a good tour. Your presentation was poor. I regretted coming to Budapest after your tour, but most fortunately, I had a fabulous tour by a guide at the Opera House who made the trip worthwhile; she loves what she does. It does not seem like you love what you do. You may love music, but being a tour guide is something you only do for money and your lack of enthusiasm shows, in spite of your saying that you love Budapest. Get a different profession.

We love seeing the out of the way secrets that cities have to share, and Krisztian did a terrific job of showing us Budapest's hidden treasures. The library alone was completely stunning. In addition, we learned a ton about Budapest's history, its cuisine, and unique local gems. And he helped us figure out the mass transit! A wonderful tour, full of special moments and beautiful photos that will help us remember this amazing city.

Christian is THE best guide you could imagine having in Budapest. I ended up booking 2 extra tours from him because of how informative and knowledgeable he was. As a local, he gave me an experience that was truly authentic and could not imagine coming to Budapest without his help. BOOK HIM

Angie was just great! She really took her time with our family and had wonderful places for us to visit that were not the typical touristy places. She gave us great insight into the food and culture of Budapest. We all would highly recommend her. It was a pleasure to meet you, thank you!

Our 8 hour walking tour with Richard was an excellent way to get an overview of Budapest, while learning about the history and culture of Hungary. We saw the major sites, ate in a local restaurant, discussed what life is and used to be like in Hungary, and got suggestions about what else to see and do while we are here. This was our 2nd City Unscripted tour and I recommend them highly. We learn and see so much more than we could on a standard group tour.

Krisztian was absolutely amazing! Not only did he show us around Budapest, he shared his personal experiences growing up under Soviet rule in the 1980s and took us to little known locations for awesome photo opportunities. He taught us how to navigate the public transportation system, toured us through some beautiful buildings that we would not have seen on our own and gave us a wonderful history lesson about Budapest. He was so personable, engaging and friendly - a true joy to spend time with. If you are in Budapest, I highly recommend booking some time with Krisztian through City Unscripted - you will not be disappointed!

Richard took us around town as though we were visiting family. He made the history, [people and life of Hungry and Budapest come alive. He was patient with all our questions and genuinely interested in what we wished to learn rather than follow a scripted tour- can see why it is city 'unscripted'. Richard- thank you! You were amazing. Our 13 and 15 year old loved this as well and were touched by your stories and history. We certainly got to feel and experience the heart beat of this amazing city. THANK YOU!

Attila was a very good guide. He managed the tour to our requests and we saw some "off the beaten path" areas that really made the day !!
