Our experience with Marti was wonderful on all fronts. We shared a day of learning, indulgence and spoiling. From the informative Market Tour - tasting and exploring the local produce. To the fun cooking in Marti’s superb homely Kitchen. Our menu was delicious. We would highly recommend Marti’s experiences. Thank you Marti you are a gem. We loved every minute. Hope we return again some day.

Oh so good.
We like to do cooking class when traveling and this was one of the best. The market tour at the start is almost a time filler, however once at the kitchen this tour was 10 out of 10. We cooked a 3 course meal, all hands on. A soup, cabbage rolls and strudel. We learnt how to make strudel pastry from scratch and stretch it out. Printed recipes to take home. Our guide and chef was great. The kitchen was good. All appliances as you would have in a home kitchen so you can replicate what you have done.

An amazing experience
Jul 2019 • Couples
Marti met us outside the market and gave us a tour of the market. While giving us the tour, she told us the history of the market. We purchased the ingredients we needed for the cooking class and we sampled some typical Hungarian food. The menu was chosen in advance from her list of suggested foods. When we were finished at the market, we went to Marti's beautiful apartment where we prepared and ate the food. Before we began to cook, Marti had homemade cordials and mineral water ready for us. Marti's English is excellent. She is very kind and patient. She did an excellent job explaining how to make the typical Hungarian dishes that we prepared with her help. In addition to learning about food, Marti answered many questions as she told us about life in Hungary today, life in Hungary before and during WW2 and life in Hungary under Communist rule. She paired a nice wine with the food and sat down and ate with us. Her husband came towards the end of the meal and he drove us back to our hotel. This was more than just a market tour and cooking class. This was an amazing personal experience as we got to know about Marti and her family's history in Hungary. I highly recommend this activity and I will definitely tell anyone who visits Budapest to take a class with Marti.

Excellent profesonal and warm class cooking experience
May 2019 • Couples
We were with marti for more then 4 hours. Starting in market tour and continue cooking in the class. She is a real profesonal chef we learn a lot. I came from an Hungarian family I grew up with Hungarian food but this was for me a real exciting experience. And above all marti is warm and ready to answer and help much more then he promised in the agenda of the course.
