We had the most beautiful friendly knowledgeable guide Bianka . She took the time to talk about the food & its background. We had Langos & a beer, sausage & potatoes, chimney cake and yes when it’s so freshly cooked the steam rises out like a chimney & strudel with hot coffee. Bianka ensured we sat opposite where the pastry was being made. We were so full after the tour. Really recommend it.

This was a truly wonderful experience. I was fortunate enough to have a solo tour, which meant it felt more personal and special. Despite it being only me, my guide, Fanni, was the height of professionalism and taught me so much about the area. I felt that I was being welcomed and introduced to a side of the city I never would have discovered on my own. It was one of the best experiences I had in the city and I recommend the experience to everyone and Fanni as the perfect guide!

A very very special place both for a drink, the surrounding and the people visiting, dancing, and drinking. Better to come on the weekend since other days are not so crowded and the place feels empty

Very pleasant slow paced stroll around the heart of Pest. The deserts were the best! Try a sour cherry strudel. Bianca was a wonderful guide.

We had a great time walking through the streets of Budapest with Bianca as our guide. We tried lots of local fare like langos and a sausage and lovely strudel. A fantastic insight into the history and culture of the Hungarian Ruin bars.( Bianka ) our guide was excellent and took us to 3 of the iconic bars and explained in great detail the stories of each of them … it’s a great tour and we would highly recommend.

Eliz greeted me at my hotel lobby. She was so kind to wait for me since my flight got a bit delayed. She was very nice and knowledgeable not only anout the food but also about hungarian culture and history. We walked to all the difrerent restaruranta chatting interesting conversations. All the food stops were great ! We try 2 savory typical dishes and two desserts ! I recommend this tour to anybody interesting in more that just food.

Karoly was an excellent guide. He was extremely well informed and gave us a fantastic tour. It’s well worth using a guide as you get so much more out of your visit. He gave us good tips for places to see and eat during our weekend.

Really interesting tour plus a chance to have a great conversation and ask questions about anything. Although it might seem pricey, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening with Bianca…worth every penny and I don’t even drink! The ruins bars are colorful, quirky and play an important role in the culture of the city. This is a great tour to do when you first arrive, where you can not only visit three bars and experience the Jewish quarter, but also get personalized recommendations for restaurants and other places to visit.

Bianca was a wonderful guide. She not only knew her history, but also was very open and welcoming of our questions. We sampled four foods, and the restaurants were clearly best choices. All places were easily walkable, and Bianca described points of interest as we went. She thoughtfully provided a list of recommended restaurants via WhatsApp after the tour. We loved the small, personalized group, and the short duration fit easily into our plans.

Since the group tours were already booked out and I only had this one single day in Budapest, I decided to do a private tour for one person. Having slept too little on that day, I wasn't really ready for exchange with another person, so naturally, I was afraid that the tour might end up being awkward. Thankfully, I was wrong. My tour guide was a charming person who showed me around the city and hat lots of interesting things to tell. The two hours were full of interesting conversations about Hungarian cuisine, language and history. I loved the food selection and the the places where we had the food. Beware, though, that Bulgarian food is quite heavy, so make sure to have enough space for it.
