      Bratislava Christmas markets
Lovely small old town so ideal for 3 days. Really atmospheric Christmas markets .... potatoes pancakes all varieties worth queues. Definitely try the tatra tea .... green strong enough for me but lotsa strengths. Hana exhibition in town hall brilliant about a lady way ahead of her time who tried to drag rights of women to forefront in late 1800s. Not expensive. Loved the thrift shops

      Nice location, poor service
The location and setting was beautiful. We had booked 5 samples for 4 people costing £75. On arrival no one greeted us, no hello or smile. A young gentleman led us over to a barrel area and explained we would be sampling 3 white, 1 rose, 1 red. He poured us all a little in our glasses, explained where wine was from, what it may taste like. He never explained how to taste the wine, his remarks were spoken to fast and it was hard to hear what he said as the music was drounding him out. He never asked us a question? What could we taste, how do we rate it? He stood awkwardly waiting for us to drink so he could pour the next wine. It felt completely rushed, like he wanted us to be gone . This replayed over the next 4 tastings, it was so bizarre. After the last wine he just poured and left?? No review, no good byes. Iv done wine tasting all around the world , this was by far the most rushed awkward. I did not enjoy the experience what so ever. No offer to buy the wine at the end of the tasting, no nothing . I do not recommend this experience.

      7 hours jammed into 5
This is a 5 hour tour that should really be a 7 hour tour. While you see a lot of old town Bratislava and learn about and get to visit Devín Castle, a little more time would have made it a better tour. When it comes to Bratislava Castle you drive by it, that’s it. The description seems like you might do a little more than that. We had to an Uber back to the castle later in the day to actually go to Bratislava Castle. Felt at times we were rushed during the tour

Fantastic tour, with a refreshing beer at the end!
We booked this tour as we were doing a day trip to Bratislava from Vienna. We went on a Saturday so wanted our time to be well spent in a new place. The tour started exactly at 12pm, so please don't worry if you get there early and the guide isn't there. I called the contact number provided as I was worried I wasn't in the right place, and the lovely lady on the other end reassured me I was and would get in touch with the guide. We were then greeted by the wonderful Maria. She was extremely knowledgeable of Bratislava and was able to provide facts about a variety of subjects and was able to answer any questions we had. We were very fortunate that this tour ended up being a private tour as no one else turned up. The beer tasting was okay. From previous tastings, there is usually a guide who can tell you about the drink and what to look out for etc, however, we were told to find our own seat & then a server provided 3 beers and that was it. The beer was really good, (coming from a non beer drinker), however, as a beer tasting experience, it was no different to ordering 3 beers at the bar. Overall, I would recommend this tour as it's a really nice way to see Bratislava, and you have a 'reward' after walking for 2 hours in the sun.

      Bratislava a getaway from Vienna
The Bratislava tour was very well organized, clear, easy to navigate. The guide was great! We thought everything was very well priced, including the beers.

      Very enjoyable
We enjoyed the experience and thought it was great value for money. The sommelier was knowledgeable and polite. It would’ve been good if we had separate water glasses. A handout with information about each wine for us to read after the sommelier had left us to drink the rest of the glass would sure been good too.

      Worst tour experience. Stay Away.
I was waiting for the bus, which never came. Apparently they said I was waiting at the wrong bus stop. I was not given proper instructions, nothing was sent to my email, which they said was sent. They didn't bother to call or even wait for me. I was at the bus station 1 hour before the trip started and I was waiting. All my previous tours that I've been on, they made sure everyone was accounted for. They told me they would not refund the trip of the 64€ that I paid. I had to get my own bus to Bratislava which cost me 20€. I did go for the lunch, which was terrible, it was a bowl of soup and spaghetti, I could not choose what I wanted and the tables weren't reserved, they put me on a shared table away from the main restaurant. I did use the bus back to Vienna. You can get a much better meal for about 10€. I did not go for the walking tour, althought there are so many free walking tours of the city that you don't have to pay for it. I deserve at least a partial refund of 50%. I never experienced such a bad tour before. They kept saying no refunds, they just take your money and don't do what they say. This trip can be done without this tour, because you have to do everything yourself, you rather save money and do it yourself.

      Interesting and informative
The tour guide was knowledgeable in regards to Slovakian and Bratislavan history. She informed us on many interesting sights and not so well known facts about the city. She told of the true Slovakian foods and was a motivator who sparked further interest in my interest in the Slovakian culture.

      Enjoyable trip
We have signed up the private Bratislava: 6-Hour Carpathian Wine Tour and Tasting with Bratislava City Tours in GetYourGuide. We have visited the Red Stone Castle, towns of Modra, Pezinok and Svaty Jur. Learnt about the history of the Slovakian national hero Ludovit Stur, who fought for the autonomy of Slovakia in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Visited a Majolica Pottery shop and wine tasting in a winery. Our tour guide Andrej was very patient, friendly and helpful. He can speak English very well. We have a fruitful and an enjoyable trip.

      Great experience for wine lovers!
I booked the whole wine tasting. 100 top wines available to taste at your own time! If you need explanations, a very kind Sommelier is available to speak about the wines. If you want to learn about Slovakian wines, this tasting is highly recommended!!

      A great introduction to Bratislava
Our guide met us at our hotel at the appointed time. We began with a driving tour of the city and its neighborhoods. We stopped at the Blue Church, the Russian war memorial, and at the castle the car left us. From there we walked around and through the castle ground, down into the old city stopping briefly at St Michael's Cathedral. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we can to appreciate much of the history and richness of Bratislava's history. We highly recommend this tour.

      Tasting top quality local wines
We tasted 3 wines and they were all superb! We'd never had Slovakian wine before and it certainly didn't disappoint! We bought a bottle for later. Very informative and friendly sommelier. Totally recommend

A great high-level overview of Bratislava
We took the one-hour walking tour followed by a two-course lunch and were most impressed. It started with a one-hour Flixbus ride from Vienna, which was very pleasant. Tour participants then assembled across the street to await our guide. Ours, Ingrid, was fantastic! Born and raised in Bratislava, she had an expert’s knowledge of the history of both her city and country. She was also very engaging and happy to answer my numerous questions. The city's old town is pretty compact and you can see a lot of it in an hour, then have several more hours to wander, pop into churches, climb to the HRAD Castle, do some shopping, have a gelato or a glass of prosecco -- whatever floats your boat! There's one thing I'd recommend. Take the one-hour tour and, as you're walking around, notice the dozens of restaurants in the area. Think about which strike your fancy, then head over there (wherever "there" is) for lunch after your tour. Our lunch, while tasty enough, was nothing particularly special. Otherwise, excellent tour and excellent service/communications from the tour operator. Well recommended.

      Public transport to Bratislava ?!?
First of all, we wish to make a point with our tourist guide, Ingrid was really astononishig lady with a great knowlidge. However, the biggest surprise to us was the public transport to Bratislava and vice-versa. We do traval a lot, and there always was a mini bus or a van for a one-day tour sightseeing of some city or reggion. Further more, the bus was a little bit late in both direction, with no ecxuses. Although it was underlined that we must come at least half an hour before departure. Also, it was mantioned twice that there is no guide in a bus, and we did askk ourselves why that is so omportnant. It would be more usefull to say to your clients that they will travel by a local trnaport from Vienna to Bratislava and back. We have never travelled by public transport to a touristic destination, incredible. About the lunch that we booked it was a preordered, so we should eat what was given to us, unbelievible. It woul be much better that lunch was connected to beer tasting at the same local restaurant.

We were there just a few weeks ago. This is where my husband and I had a very romantic lunch! We had a delightful meal while sitting in the window watching the people visit the Christmas Market! This was our favorite place to visit on our entire trip.
