- mariusmA8936HW0 contributionsHill of Crosses Full-Day Tour – My Honest TakeSo, I went on this tour kinda last minute, didn’t have crazy expectations—just figured, hey, a hill with a bunch of crosses, why not? But man, it turned out to be one of the coolest and most unexpectedly deep places I’ve visited. The ride there was smooth, guide was super easygoing, cracked some jokes, and made the history feel more like a good story than a history lesson. No info overload, just the right amount to make you appreciate the place more.Written 13 February 2025
- Sightseer293495492580 contributionsPerfect tour for understanding more about Lithuanian historyGreat trip with good overview of Lithuanian history and also Jewish Lithuanian past. Had a lot of fun, was perfect length, thanks a lot!Written 26 January 2025
- Npk920 contributionsI enjoyed this tour! The Hill of Crosses is a must visit siteThe Hill of Crosses is a must see site in Lithuania. I had a fantastic experience on this tour. I was the only one who booked so they offered me a private tour with an extra cost of 50 euros or I would’ve had to cancel, I accepted it. Andrius was my driver + tour guide and he did an excellent job. I learned a lot about Lithuania’s history from him since he did a great job explaining everything to me throughout the whole day tour. The first stop we visited was the Great Battle District Partisan’s Park where we walked the forest for about 45 minutes while Andrius told me about Lithuania’s history. After that then he drove me to the Hill of Crosses, where I got to spend an hour exploring the hill at my own pace and wow what a site it was… one of the most interesting sites I’ve visited worldwide. This was definitely the highlight of my short stay in Vilnius. Be aware though the ride from Vilnius to both of these sites will be long - a couple hours to and from the city - so be prepared for that. Don’t miss the Hill of Crosses when you come to visit Lithuania and I highly recommend booking your experience with this tour company. - NolanWritten 21 January 2025
- justmyopinion19570 contributionsThe BEST WAY to go between Vilnius and RigaThe value of this transfer is amazing! No need to mess with airports, airlines or taxis to/from. We picked up the minivan at Cathedral Square in Vilnius, made three tourist stops on the way, and arrived into Riga at 5pm. This is an UNGUIDED TOUR, but truly no one needs a guide at these three stops. We were given some very basic information about each place, which was appreciated, and then we were off on our own to explore. On the minivan was another couple and us. The departure is guaranteed, so you can book with confidence!Written 24 October 2024
- justmyopinion19570 contributionsTrakai Palace with AdamHad a great tour with Adam, who was knowledgeable, friendly and whose English was very clear and easy to understand. Great communication with instructions on where to meet. Our thanks for not cancelling the tour when we were the only participants, which would have been disappointing.Written 24 October 2024
- corneliaa4460 contributionsMost moving experienceWe travelled overland with Intrepid; from Helsinki to Vilnius. Many suites impressed me but here I was moved most, when I saw this hill full of many thousand of crosses . I had tears in my eyes and thought when I die; I would also like some one to put a cross here in my memory. What a lovely idea.Written 28 July 2024
- 820ievam0 contributionsWorst company everThe worst company, I would never recommend working with them. Very rude and disrespectful to foreigners. Can't communicate in English with letters.Written 15 May 2024
- Limavady550 contributionsNot disappointed just crossesCombined fabulous driver and informative guide Andrius an interesting side trip to the Partisan Memorial Park (a memento cross for Ronald Reagan!) the Hill of Crosses itself not very high or far to work an extraordinary experience that will linger in the mind for ages Pope John Paul II (“half my heart belongs to Lithuania”) really put on the map this collective expression of homeland, artistic expression and religious resistance to oppression. Definitely worth the journey.Written 5 May 2024
- N9545SVcs0 contributionsHad a wonderful timeThank you for the tour. I didn’t have a background of Christian history so the guide helped me understand the background. The guide also introduced us to the restaurant where we can have a delicious Cepelinai. Written 5 March 2024
- izakarijagrkovic0 contributionsFaith and defiance in the face of oppression. Inspiring! The trip was fascinating! We learnt so much about the history of Lithuania from our guide, Adam. The day was well planned, with regular breaks and plenty of time to enjoy the sights. The only problem was the cramped transport (personal car), which for a full-day trip was inappropriate.Written 16 February 2024
- stevengW6082AB0 contributionsDiscover Lithuania - ExcellentI used Discover Lithuania for transportation to and from the airport as well as the Hill of Crosses tour. Adam was the guide for each of these excursions, and he was personable, professional, and fun to be around. It snowed the day of the Hill of Crosses tour, yet Adam navigated the heavy traffic and uncertain conditions with patience, and a sense of humor. I had a very early flight on my last day, and Adam provided me with a couple of breakfast bars, as he knew it was too early to get breakfast at the hotel. What a classy and considerate move by Adam. I highly recommend Adam and Discover Lithuania.Written 6 December 2023
- joannehH9968YB0 contributionsBoring tour and rough tour guide! We were told that the meeting point on the day was the bus stop next to the bell tower, but intact, it should be the opposite of the bell tower, I think this is very misleading. When we tried to point out this, the driver guide's behaviour was rough and brash! The whole tour he was showing of rashness, he doesn't show any interest in what he's doing. It seems like he didn't enjoy the job and just wanted to rush off.Written 23 October 2023
- rosario3080 contributionsA UNIQUE SIGHT TO BEHOLDMore than 100,000 crucifixes on this hill. A sight to behold- unique attraction with crosses of different sizes, designs, material (about >2 centuries) . A Catholic Pilgrimage site. About 2.5 hrs from Vilnius. . Apparently, there’s lot of history from war & uprising for hundreds of years. I had goosebumps as I walked through thousands of these crucifixes.Written 8 October 2023
