- Alla W0 contributionsWhat a beautiful and historic town! This excursion was worth the time and money! This part of the Baltics has seen so much turmoil in government takeovers. Yet they are proud people who love their country. Beuatiful and historic.Written 9 December 2019
- Allan D0 contributionsThe hilight of the BalticThis was my favorite part of our 11 day cruise. Old parts of town that were beautifully preserved. Not too crowded. Our guide was wonderful. We had lunch in a modern restaurant for a fair price. Bought a couple of pieces on pottery that were lovely. A great visit.Written 6 June 2019
- Israel R0 contributionsPrivate Tour visiting Tallinn EstoniaWe were on the Norwegian Breakaway Ship doing the Baltics. As we had only a few hours on this port of call, we booked a private Van to show us around Tallinn. We saw all the highlights and important sites of Tallinn and found it was really good and a lot cheaper for the 4 us in a van. A similar tour offered by the cruise shore excursions was a lot more expensive. We loved the tour and had a nice visit to this charming city in Estonia.Written 19 September 2018
- MickyC-AUS0 contributionsAwesome Tour, Fabulous Old World CharmSteeped in old world history and charm, Tallinn town is stunning and best seen up close and explored on a walking tour with a local guide. This shore excursion was completely trouble free. As promised, our local Ulko Tours guide met us as we exited the cruise terminal and whisked us off to begin our small group tour. Packed full with enthusiasm and local knowledge, our guide expertly lead us around his historical city with pride. Old Tallinn town is glorious, with magnificant cobble-stonned streets, beautiful medieval buildings, fabulous old churches and a town square with the meeting of roads decending from upper town to lower town. Spectacular views abound from Toompia Hill and magical laneways open into pockets of local businesses, handcraft shops and markets. Be sure to check out the old pharmacy for some of the museum medicinal exhibits - very interesting! Lunch was delicious with local fare and good hospitality. Later in the day we were driven to Kadriorg Park to wander the palacial grounds and view the beautiful Kadriorg Palace facade, a visit to the Olympic Yacht Center then on to Pirita Beach before being dropped back at the cruise terminal. Very professional and highly recommended.Written 16 December 2017
