Visited with not a lot of time, but was very worthwhile. I think a self guided tour pamphlet would be a nice addition, but not a must have. Guided tours are available also. I enjoyed walking the fort, especially the staff dressed in period costumes....More

Fort Ticonderoga is run by a private charity so admission was more than a national park but there were activities all the time. We went from a tour of the fort to a musket firing demonstration to a drum and fife demo to a cannon...More

So informative and hands on. We were surprised how cheap the admission was. Love that the staff are dressed in the time period. We ate at the on site cafe and I would recommend it. Prices are reasonable and food is great.

This fort had been in five battles between the French and Indian War and the American Revolution. The Fort has been restored. During Summer, they have plenty of reenactors and activities. It's at the Southern end of Lake Champlain, so it's a bit out of...More
