Highly recommended. I was stuck in DC between meetings with time to spare and as a budding photographer I thought I would give this a go. I couldn't be more happy that I did. David Luria is a hugely experienced teacher who clearly loves what he does - both the photography and

We greatly appreciate this reviewer's comments, coming from a very experienced photographer. On all our safaris we try to combine historical information with photographic instruction so that the client will know the context of the subject. We also take a personal interest into the life and career of the client, which helps us tailor our instruction to their unique needs.

I am a longtime Washington area resident and amateur photographer; like many locals, I don't often go into DC proper unless I have company so show around. The evening spent with David Luria of Washington Photo Safari was great, and I learned things I never knew about DC, in

We really appreciate this client's comment because there are so many people, like this client, who live in the DC area and yet do not get to see the eights unless they have an excuse like a relative visiting town! Months pass, years pass, and they just don't get downtown. So at Washington Photo Safari we feel we play a very useful role, not just in teaching photography but also in getting local people (who make up 80% of our 37,000 clients) to appreciate - through the lens of their camera - all the monuments and building and statues and museums their taxes have paid for!

I live in the Washington, DC, area and have taken several of David Luria's photo safaris since 2004. Much of what I know about photography has come from David. Now that my photography has grown from a hobby to a semi-professional occupation, I still take the occasional safari.

We greatly appreciate this review from a person who is already a very skilled photographer. One of the great pleasures of teaching photography is watching a person' skills progress, year by year, so that the hobby becomes ever more enjoyable. This particular client has now published a booklet of photographs on nighttime photography that is itself a work of art
