- F7519RUnaomir0 contributionsPerfect Day in Washington seeing Monuments!First week of November was the perfect time for a trip to DC! No lines, very few tourists. Quiet, perfect weather! We did ALL the monuments the first day on the rented bikes. This was honestly the best day! The kids loved the bikes, your feet didn’t hurt, were able to take our time and go where we liked. I only gave it a 4 star because the bikes did not have a phone holder, which made navigating a bit of a trick, and dangerous for the phone. The reservation was great- they were very professional, easy to deal with. Bikes worked great- no problems with function at all.Written 4 November 2024
- MelindaVStringer0 contributionsBest way to see DCBest city bike tour I have taken. We saw all the highlights that DC has to offer. Our guide, Grey H. was very informative and friendly. I would recommend this company for anyone wanting to get a great overview of DC.Written 3 November 2024
- tristindconner0 contributionsPremier Guide with Views to MatchJoe was the best guide with SO much info, enthusiasm, humor and respect for the entire group! I would highly recommend him as a guide if you have a choice. The history, access of monuments by bike and starting location were perfect. And don't forget to tip!!Written 31 October 2024

- lucybgucy0 contributionsA must do while in DCThis tour is great. It doesn’t disappoint. David, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable, interesting, nice, and looked out for the group. DC at night is the best and this is a terrific way to do it. Absolutely would do this tour again if we return.Written 26 October 2024
- K6581POdanielled0 contributionsBest tour to cover all the DC highlightsLoved the Monuments and Memorials tour! I've done bike tours in 4 cities and this one was fantastic. Matthew was the guide. At the beginning of the tour he asked the group if we would prefer to squeeze in extra stops or spend more time at the monuments on the schedule and we agreed that more stops would be great, so the Capitol was included, as well as a couple of the other museums and memorials along the way. Matthew spent just a few minutes talking at each stop, and then gave plenty of time to get off the bikes and take photos. I have been on other tours where the guide just loves to talk at each stop and I wonder if we will ever continue riding. This tour was the opposite-- the talking was kept to a minimum and we covered a lot of ground with plenty of time for photos, which is exactly how I like it. The ride was very safe, the terrain was flat, and the bike ride was easy, you definitely don't need an ebike for this route. I highly recommend this tour to anybody who has limited time in DC and wants to cover many of the hot spots.Written 22 October 2024
- Herewego19050 contributionsDC by E-bikeThis past weekend, my brother and I were in the DC area for the USC/Maryland game. The game itself was a letdown as USC dropped its fourth game as they continue to falter in the Big Ten. Nonetheless, my brother and I always find an e-Bike Tour to take in, and this one did not disappoint. Our guide Jack, was the best. Our guide Jack, was the best. Jack during his full-time employment is an elementary school teacher and his knowledge of the DC area and history were unmatched. Jack was able to take a group of 19 through most of the monuments in an effortless way. Jack was beyond professional, and his knowledge was unmatched as he was able to provide tidbits of information on the history of the monuments and their background. The only complaint that I have about this tour is that 19 individuals on an e-Bike Tour in the busy DC area is a lot. In fact, the advertisement says that the groups are no longer that 12 and I believe that number would have been appropriate. Even with a large group, Jack was still able to deliver. So, if you’re in the DC area and you love tours, and you want to pack in as much as possible, I would highly recommend this E Bike Tour!Written 22 October 2024
- Companion7535150 contributionsGreat way to see all the monuments in an afternoon! This is a fantastic way to see all the major monuments and places around the city in a 3 hour window, learning about each on the way. Then you can decide if you want to go back and see any more in-depth. We rented the electric bikes which was fun, but not really necessary as the route is quite flat (a grandmother was on our tour with her grandson (9 years old). We enjoyed our tour guide Matt, is was informative and able to answer all our questions. Thank you!Written 21 October 2024
- YPerez11620 contributionsFamily Bike Tour of DC MonumemtsWhat a great way to see the DC monuments with beautiful Fall weather!! Our guide, Mary, was very knowledgeable and full of energy. She also fixed my husband’s chain that came off during the tour. The equipment was in good condition (chain incident notwithstanding) and comfortable. The tour took 3 hours and we saw 8 monuments. Due to late comers, we started a little late but not the fault of Unlimited Biking. There was time to take pictures and for Mary to give us some monument history. On foot or bus it would take half to a full day. I highly recommend this tour. So fun!!!!Written 21 October 2024
- TXFam50 contributionsSuper fun way to see the sights! We had a rough start when the address provided to us via our TripAdvisor booking took us a block away to 701 D St. The correct address, at least during renovation, is 801 D St. We got an unsympathetic response from the person at UB who checked us in, (someone from a neighboring business helped us find our way), but once we connected with our actual tour guide, Adrian, our experience definitely improved. Adrian was perfectly friendly and shared lots of interesting info and stories during our tour. We loved this way of seeing the monuments and memorials. A highlight of our time in DC!Written 16 October 2024
- S4672TJlorim0 contributionsBest Wash DC Bike Tour!Taking this bike tour was a great way to see and learn about DC and its history. Our tour guide, Joe, was awesome! He was friendly, funny, and had a lot of interesting details to share about the sites and monuments. October was a great time to go, the weather was perfect! I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone!Written 14 October 2024
- Trail668082308670 contributionsDisappointing check in and tour guideI have done 25+ bike tours in cities throughout the world and this would rank as my lowest - not because of the sites I saw in Washington DC (it is a stunning city!) but due to the disorganisation and lack of energy and information of the guide. I arrived and there was chaos at the bike shop - 35+ people and only 1 very stressed and grumpy person trying to enrol people and get them onto bikes. There were about 5 tour guides standing around not helping. Our tour guide was just Ok - she showed us the route and gave 1 or 2 facts about each monument but that was it. No energy and very very basic information - I was quite surprised as this is not what all the other bike tours I have been on have done - usually you get lots of cool stories (interestingly I overheard another tour guide from the same place but a different group and that is exactly what he was doing). Everyone on our group felt the same. Disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend.Written 14 October 2024

Tour route was very good. Able to pack in all the major monuments and time to visit White House too. Bikes were basic - 3 “electric” gears. But worst failing was the guide. He was utterly useless. He knew the route and that statues were 19 feet tall but basically knew nothing else. I mean zero zilch
Didn’t learn a thing. Complained at the end but the shop said they just provide the bikes. Avoid unless you like paying a lot for directions. Should have hired a bike, used google maps and the internet for facts.

This is a great way to see the monuments. Our guide gave us interesting information about all the monuments, and we stopped at each one for just the right amount of time. We never would have been able to see all of these monuments in one day any other way.
We reserved e-bikes but this route is very flat, so they're not really needed.

Really enjoyed this ride. We opted for the electric bike but given the flat path and slow pace, not really necessary. We spent a sufficient amount of time at each stop - didn’t feel rushed at all. Our guide, Jose, was great. His passion for history was very evident!

We had the best tour guide ever. He was extremely knowledgeable and clear in his presentations. The ride was most enjoyable especially with the e-bikes. We’ve been on many bikes tours around the country and abroad, and hands down, this was the best. I highly recommend this tour.

This trip was so much fun that we did it twice in one trip! Joe was the ultimate tour guide that led me and a friend around during the day to see all the sights. It was so much fun that we took our husbands back the next afternoon/evening to do the evening tour of the monuments all lit up. It was an excellent experience. Alex at the front desk could not have been nicer and they did their job with such great hospitality. You have to check this out if you are in D.C.!

This was the highlight of our trip to DC! Judy was very knowledgeable and accommodating and let us customize the trip for our interests as we were the only party on the tour. We were so grateful to be able to see all the monuments far and wide and to have so much fun doing it. My only minor disappointment was that the electric bikes were a little more basic (less fun/comfy) then other electric bikes I’ve ridden before. Still, even though we aren’t in the best shape at the moment, we had a great time and didn’t struggle one bit on our 8 mile ride.

Ebikes are my new favorite way to take tours now! It was fun and easy on the uphill sections. Judy was an awesome guide! She was informative, interesting, and never lost anyone in the group. We got to stop at several monuments that aren't included in other tours.

This was an excellent way of seeing Washington DC. It was a very hot day so biking was the best way to get around. Learnt so much and the guide was full of knowledge. I would definitely recommend this tour group.

From the moment we "mounted up" Emily, our guide, had us excited! Our private tour group of 8 had no problems with traffic or crowds as she knew exactly where to go and managed us all quite nicely. Her knowledge about each monument or memorial was outstanding. Each one of us wants to come back and explore more on the electric bikes. Thank you DC Bike and Roll!

Thank you for taking a private tour with us! We are so glad you had a blast with Emily and will pass along your kind compliments. We can't wait to have you back on an electric bike, soon! Maybe a segway tour? Have a good one!

My wife and I did the e bike tour with Lorna who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The tour took place even though there was only 2 of us participating, this is a brilliant way to traverse the city and see a lot in a relatively short period of time. Would highly recommend.
