Beat way to explore DC and Arlington
We had a great tour with Alan! We had never been to DC before. We spent a few hours at Arlington, then drove to see some of the sights in DC as well. Alan was like a human history book, but knew information you wouldn’t find in your US History books as well. My kids (ages 15-21), my husband, and I learned so much during our time with Alan. We feel as though this is the best and most informative tour we have ever been on. In our opinion, this is the best way to explore DC. Now that we have a taste of DC, we hope to come back, and will do a tour with Alan again. Thanks for the enjoyable day!

Must experience this tour
Alan did an amazing job keeping us all engaged throughout the tour. He provided amazing facts, points of interest and many small, important details we wouldn't have found on our own.

My daughter and I visited Washington for several days. I had not beem=n there in over 20 years so I was unsure about what to book for tours. I saw the Concierge Tours online and thought it may be a good option since I would not have to worry about driving. I spoke to Mr. Feldman on the phone and via emails. I had initially thought about a half day tour but he convinced me to add Mt. Vernon and do an all day tour.
I will say he is pleasant and I give him credit for spending 4-8 hours a day giving strangers a tour. However at the end of the day I feel that he was unprofessional. It seemed apparent after speaking with him on the phone and during the course of conversation during the dat that he is a one man operation. I paid him $650.00 plus the cost of the Mt. Vernon tours for a total of $706.00. He picked us up at 9:00 AM and dropped us off at 5:40 PM. which equals $75.00 per hour. I debated giving additional gratuity but it seemed that $75 per hour is pretty good rate. If he was a guide for one of the tour companies making $15-20 per hour then sure he would deserve something but $75 per hour seems adequate. Perhaps I am wrong. However I had not been out of the car % minutes before receiving a text from Mr. Feldman about n to giving him a gratuity. Even if I should have added to his $650.00, it is the customer"s choice and I thing him sending a text about it is very unprofessional.
The second issue is the fact that he took pictures of my daughter and myself and stated he would send these to us. After a week we have not received them and I can only assume this is a result of not giving him a gratuity. Again unprofessional not doing what you promise.

Omgoodness I don’t have enough room to leave all the words to describe this tour. We started at Arlington and Alan’s information was beyond the average tour information. He was an encyclopedia of fun facts and pics throughout the whole tour. We saw so many sites and learned so much. We ended at the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial area. Upon leaving we had an emergency of which Alan went above and beyond our expectations. His concern and genuine heartfelt compassion is rare these days. What a blessing to have gotten him as our tour guide. God is good and always on time. Thank you Alan... you will always be near and dear to our hearts!!!

There exists no finer tour guide than Alan Feldman

I wish I could rate this better than excellent! We took a night tour of DC and also a day tour of Arlington National Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, and Ford's Theater.

All along the way, Alan told historical stories that were FUN and entertaining to the whole family. He was always surprising us with new facts and had a great rapport with us and our 10 and 12 year old children. His passion for history and his work is contagious.

Look no further if you'd like to tour DC... unless you want it to be boring!

My first time to DC and Alan did not disappoint! Rental cars were hard to find so we used his personal vehicle. He is crazy knowledgeable (I’m still processing things). He knows all the good sights (and even restaurants). He’s very personable and easy to talk to. He’ll answer any questions. I like the “build your itinerary” idea and that’s why I booked it. Highly recommend!

This was an excellent private tour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic day in Washington D.C. We are well traveled and have high standards, and we were very happy with our tour guide. This tour was time and money well invested.

My wife and I booked a last minute half-day tour with Concierge Tours. It was then that we made contact with the owner and operator, Alan Feldman. Alan was quick to respond and seemed to have an appreciation of what we were trying to achieve.

Alan was a fantastic tour guide, who was very knowledgeable. He gave us lots of historical and cultural information and was more than happy to answer questions and even ask trivia questions. He is also a great photographer, even though he’s not a photographer. As Covid was an issue during our visit, Alan was prepared with pictures to accompany the history lesson.

Alan is a member of the Guild of Professional Tour Guides of Washington DC, which as he explained required knowing the address of unknown and of little significant locations such as restaurants. This information shows that he is very knowledgeable of the Washington D.C. area. It’s evident that he enjoys telling the history of Washington D.C. and unknown information that comes along with it. As his website states, “Concierge Tours has a passion for showing you Washington, D.C. not only taking you to the sights and monuments but leaving you with an appreciation and education that will last a lifetime.” I can personally attest to this statement being 100% authentic.

Alan put together a half-day itinerary, which consisted of a tour of Arlington National Cemetery, the National Mall, Ford’s Theater and many other locations. He will be your own history nerd. The history nerd title came from his daughter, as he was her personal history nerd on a tour they did. He also drove us around showing us locations that fit into the larger story of visited locations. Alan does provide transportation that’s tailored to the group size. He is also willing to tour the National Mall on scooters if you don’t feel like walking. We went on a cold day and Alan even provided us with hand warmers.

The history lesson continued even as the tour was over. We had a bonus conversation with Alan on our drive home because he remembered things that he wanted to expand on.

Want the best tour experience of your life? Alan & Concierge Tours is a must do!!
Jan 2020
I had a lovely 3 nights in Washington & my private tour guide, Alan from Concierge Tours...AMAZING GUIDE!!...wore me out visiting so many wonderful sights! If you are ever considering a tour of Washington, DC...do not do the tour bus, group tour thing...you have to go with Alan! He is genius and knows so much you will walk away wondering how you ever made it through school with so little knowledge! In addition, he treated me like there was all the time in the world to get this done. I have an off again/on again issue with my hip and though on Tuesday it was sore (mostly because of the unusual cold) Alan worked at my pace and let me rest when needed. I walked 4 miles that day & Alan walked even more, going to get the car so I could rest. We went back out Wednesday & saw as much before I had to surrender. Again, Alan went to get the car. He is a kind & considerate tour guide and because you are working with an individual who owns the company your happiness is important to him...at least that is the impression I was left with after spending time with him. He is a self-proclaimed history nerd (I prefer history buff) who knows so much & will show you things the other guides just glaze over or ignore. When at the Capital, their guides asked Alan questions!
Oh...& let's not forget how funny he is! He has a ton of jokes...he thinks they are all funny so just humor him & laugh...he will so appreciate it! Right, Alan?
A memory, an experience that will last me a lifetime!
