This was a very neat experience. I went with my husband, and daughters, aged 14 and 16. My youngest enjoyed this the best out of the two girls, primarily because she is completely fearless. There were a few "stops" on this tour. After about a 45-minute boat ride (at high speeds), we stopped at Caye Caulker. This was a place where you could change into your swimsuit (if you weren't wearing it already), but primarily this stop was so you could place your lunch order. Lunch is NOT included in the price of the tour, but this was a lovely little spot on a quiet and beautiful island. The purpose of placing your order early was to make sure your food was ready in time when we came back. This is not like McDonald's where it could be ready in under a minute.

Our next stop was a coral reef. I have seen other reviewers leave feedback on other excursions about how the lifejackets had to be worn in such a way that prevented decent snorkeling. This was not the case here. They made recommendations of how to wear your lifejacket based on how strong of a swimmer you are. Regardless of your strength, you had to have a life jacket attached to you in some way, but the strongest only needed to tie the strap to their wrist, allowing them the freedom to dive down a bit further if desired. The currents were strong on this day, so my entire family ended up with the life jacket around our waists which afforded us plenty of buoyancy but didn't obstruct our snorkeling. Some of the areas we snorkeled felt like we were a little too close to the coral for my comfort ... I didn't want to damage it. I suspect this has more to do with the fact that the currents were crazy versus being formally guided through extra shallow areas.

We got back onto the boat and went to my favorite stop, with the stingrays and sharks. They were all very docile and were happy to see the boat because the boat meant "free" food. This was not the type of experience where you pose with the stingrays, but it was still very cool. My youngest was able to hold a sardine in the air while still on the boat and a seagull came down to eat it.

After this stop, we got back on the boat and returned to eat our lunch. It was very good, and the prices were reasonable. Word to the wise: "shrimp fingers" means fried fish. I don't know what I was thinking it might be, but when it came out I was like "oh ... fried shrimp!" Hahaha.

The last stop was feeding large Tarpon fish. Once again, my fearless youngest was ready for this. She held a sardine in her fingers by the tail, and a giant fish came up and grabbed it right out of her hand ... a full six inches out of the water!

The only thing that would make this better is if lunch was somehow included in the price, but overall, this was a great experience!

Thanks Natalie and crew for an unforgettable day! This excursion is the perfect taste of Belize, especially if your time is limited by a cruise (I came in on the Carnival Breeze). It's not just snorkeling. You get to eat local food (I recommend the chicken kabob), explore Caye Caulker, hand feed tarpon fish, snorkel the reef, and of course snorkel with sharks & rays. While on Caye Caulker, make sure to find the small animal sanctuary just a few paces down the street to the left of the restaurant - it's free to pet the dogs! Have some Belizean ice cream at a shop down the street to the right of the restaurant. (The cookies & cream is to die for). Poke your head into as many shops as time allows. Each one has something unique. Invest in an underwater camera for the snorkeling. You'll be sorry you didn't have one! Hand feeding tarpon fish takes lots of bravery, but they are such cool creatures! Be sure you have sunscreen...it's an open boat with no shade. Sit near the front for a fun ride! BOOK THIS EXCURSION. Don't hesitate!

After booking somewhat disappointing trips with TUI cruises we decided to book elsewhere, which is when we found Splash Wave Tours.

We were apprehensive about disembarking the ship and finding the transport, but it couldn't be easier. Following a quick trip to the dock and introduction to the friendly guides and captain we were underway!

Whatever questions we had were met with knowledgable and enthusiastic answers. It was clear how passionate they were about their country and the beautiful wildlife.

Stopping at Caye Caulker (a beautiful no-car island) to pick up some sardines, we were led to a colourful restaurant to order food for lunch. They said it was best to do it before the activities as island life is quite relaxed and it would take a while to prep the food.

Getting back on the boat, we proceeded to an empty part of the reef and dived in the warm caribbean sea. I have a fear of open water and sharks (yep, I know. perfect tour...) but Stacey who was our in-water guide was amazing and made me feel safe. We swam for an hour as she dove down and pointed our all types of sea creature and coral. The most amazing part was when two enormous spotted eagle rays danced and flew around us, just off the reef. It was an incredible experience!

Then came the dreaded part. Sharks!
Stacey went in first and showed how they behaved, which calmed me down and I jumped in without hesitation. We were fortunately the only boat out there, so had a peaceful and uninterrupted time with at least 50 sharks and rays! Incredible!

Overall an excellent experience with caring and knowledgeable guides. I would 100% recommend this tour and was one of the stand out moments of our honeymoon.

The boat we were put on was enclosed and smelled of spilled gas. We were packed in like sardines with guests having to sit in bins and buckets. We spent way too much time on the island and not in the water. When visiting the sharks and rays all 50 of us hopped off and fought each other for a spot to view the fish that were under the boat. This tour would have been better with half the people, most of the tour in the water and less shore time.

I would not recommend it.

My husband and I had the best time on this excursion. First, we snorkeled at the coral reef. Our guide took extra care to share facts about the reef, people and culture with us. After the reef, we got to interact with the sharks and rays. Again, our guide and assistant were engaged and very helpful. Following this we stopped for lunch. All in all, a great time. The only "complaint" I had was the check in process which was not efficient by any means. The agent called everyone up multiple times to complete the process which was unnecessary and could have been done once. Would recommend this excursion in spite of that.

I have done this same itinerary before and had a great time but our tour guide Natalie really made the difference this time. She loves what she does and does it well. If you are in Belize and want to experience the reef, local food, culture and see what Belize has to offer this is for you! Just the boat ride to Caye Caulker is worth it even if you don't snorkel you better Belize it!

First of all let me say. If you are not absolutely sure that you can climb a ladder into a rocking boat don’t do this tour. However if you can then this is an amazing experience! I thought I could climb the ladder no problem however it was really hard. But Natalie and Captain James and the rest of the crew helped get me back in the boat like champs! They are great. The corals you will see are breathtaking. I never imagined seeing such beautiful reef. Straight out of a David Attenborough documentary type stuff. The sharks, rays, fishes, all so beautiful. I’m so glad we chose this experience. I will never forget it! Thank you so much for taking care of us and showing us your beautiful coral reef 💕🏝

Had an amazing time snorkeling with the sharks and rays. Would recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing Caye Caulker and the reef. The group was very large with people with different physical abilities. There is no limit on who can participate in the event and that made me a little nervous because I didn't want anyone to get hurt.

Okay, literally, this was probably one of the best experiences of our lives. Our captain Patrick and guide Stacy were phenomenal! They answered all our questions and were very knowledgeable about everything Belize. They were both welcoming and authentic. They provided all our gear to snorkel and pointed out fish as we swam. We even got rum punch and pineapple as a snack in between snorkeling. We got to feed fish and spend a good deal of time at Cage Caulker as well. Overall, I wish I could give this tour more than five stars. We loved our time and would recommend this to anyone! Note: our butts were a bit sore since there was no seat padding so keep that in mind if your booty is sensitive.

We loved snorkeling at the reef! The trip was delayed a bit, which sucked bc we could have had more time had the crew been more prepared. But overall, they were very nice and the reef was a unique experience. Caye Caulker is amazzzzing and the food was amazing too. The only thing is the trip seemed short. We wish we had more time to visit Caye Caulker and have a beach break. Overall, we’d go again and I would recommend maybe booking a private tour instead.
