I went on a solo adventure to Pacaya in November 2024. Roundtrip transportation from my Airbnb in Guatemala City was included. We left promptly in the AM and enjoined a smooth ride to Pacaya where I met Walter, the perfect guide. Because I read other reviews, I figured adding on a horse to get to the top was the best route. I’m glad I did. You can still enjoy the views without testing your endurance at a high altitude. Throughout, Walter was kind and joyful, often recommending the best spots of photographs, sharing history, and making conversation. He made sure I was comfortable and safe every step of the way, which is extra important to me as a solo traveler. The pizza at be top was delicious and there is a cute jewelry store where you can buy items and trinkets made with lava. Truly a 10/10 experience, and one of my favorite travel adventures to date. Special shootout to Walter, Guapo (the horse), and Marisol for making my day extra fun!

Ruben was very knowledgeable, about the city, Myan culture and archeology. Had a great time and learned a lot, would definitely recommend!

Walter, the guide, was very friendly and attentive. The route to the volcano was challenging, but horses are available for those who need them. The driver, Carlos, was also kind and helpful.

The guide was knowable, pick up and drop off to and from hotel to airport and to Tikal was flawless . The guide we were with included both Spanish and English speaking equally. He allowed time for those of us interested in climbing and investigating the complex to enjoy. The lunch was delicious! The driver accommodated additional time to see Flores to pass wait time for flights back to Guatemala City. Would highly recommend this trip!

First off, this was an amazing adventure I read the description and saw a few photos before booking the activity. Well done this was very organized, the views were breathtaking and s/o to tour guide Mynor. He was very professional, knowledgeable about the landscape and provided insight through out time together about the culture. I really recommend if he is available to request him you won’t be disappointed. The elevation on the hike up the mountain was intense after awhile so he recommended taking a taxi (horse) which proved to be beneficial for parts of the steepest but once you make it to your destination overlooking the city with the beautiful clouds in the background. Also have S/o Guat2do they were helpful keeping me up to date on timely changes with the weather and pickup/drop off. There was not anytime that I felt unsafe and the staff all did not great job pointing out some of the things unique to the city. I wasn’t about to check out the cooked pizza on the volcano due to the rain but it wasn’t so bad bc the steamed marshmallows. I was even given a partial refund due to the weather thank you for honoring that agreement. I am looking forward to my next visit to watch the lava flow at night and I’ll likely book again with Guat2do Travel.

Fun day trip from the city. We had a small group. Our tour guide was great and knowledgeable. And she was flexible in her plans depending on the small group’s interests.

I had the pleasure of joining a tour guided by Karla and driven by Carlos, and it was an exceptional experience. Karla’s extensive knowledge and engaging manner made the tour both informative and enjoyable. Carlos’s driving was top-notch, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride throughout. The combination of Karla's expertise and Carlos's professionalism made for a memorable and seamless trip. I highly recommend this tour and would definitely do it again!

Great experience and very reliable service.Davis Barrientos was very helpful and well informative. Went beyond the way making our trip more enjoyable and took us to various scenic points to take stoning pictures. All the activities in the San Juan de la Laguna were amazing. Thank you Davis for everything and very well recommended to anyone visiting Guatemala.

This was a lovely experience, our guide David definitely helped make it. A must do experience in Antigua Guatemala. My trip included the hot springs which was a lovely way to relax after the hike

Driver was phenomenal even in crazy traffic. Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable as well. We rode horses up a volcano and hiked a bit. Once we got to the top, it was certainly a bucket list experience. Having pizza from a lava rock is cool

Reuben was the best!! He took me all over the city and provided such a rich history of the city and the architecture of the buildings. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone coming to the city!!

Had the pleasure of going on this lovely with tour and Ruben was my tour guide can’t really thank him enough from pick up time to drop off he was so sweet and helpful. Including Carlos our driver he was so awesome as well. Ruben has such a passion on Guatemala’s history and culture, he has so much knowledge. Not once was I bored every time he was there teaching us and guiding us. Also he’s very good at taking pictures . Oh and lunch was so delicious. I throughly enjoyed this tour very much.
