I read a bunch of amazing reviews and planned this excursion based on that. However, our experience was not the same. We met our guide, drove to an overpriced store where another guide joined us (as she did not show up on time to port). Stopped at a bakery where we sat in the van. The treats were delicious however. Drove to a market while the other group in the van visited the chocolate shop as part of their "chocolate and rum" tour. We continued down the road, turned around in a parking lot, drove back the way we came. We then drove into the hill, never stopping at promised voewpoints. At the beach, the boat was not there so we waited again in the van again for quite some time. The snorkeling was not great as the weather was not the best. Viewing Roatan by sea by driving down the shoreline about 5 minutes to snorkel spot and back. The beach had no chairs set up and we had to emphasize that we wanted to go there as they were going to take us back to the ship. RT&T was clearly not as organized that day as the others that I had read about. Disappointing. Much of the day seemed to be sitting and waiting or staring out the window as we drove.

Despite a heavy, cold rain buffeting us while on the boat trip out, a miracle occurred and our snorkeling was great! The sun came out, the water was war, and the fish were plentiful. I've been to many islands in the Caribbean and Roatan didn't really offer much new, but it was pleasant to see it and learn a bit about its history. I took advantage of the hour on the beach to talk along the main drag. Most of what I saw was touristy bars and shops, but I was delighted to come across a chocolate shop selling organic, soy free, gluten free, free trade chocolate, with free tastings. Our guide, Mary, was pleasant and helpful. Getting past the guantlet of vendors and through the maze of shops at the port was annoying, but the throngs of tour guides at the exit were happy to point me in the direction of our guide.

We had an amazing time with our tour guide - Joesph Bush. He went above and beyond in making it a very engaging, fun, safe and exciting tour. We are so grateful to him for helping us find our lost phone.

Talia was our tour guide. She shared a lot about Honduras in an interesting way as we asked her questions. She was patient, not in a rush, and made suggestions about what we could do on the island during our tour time. We held the sloths and macaws, fed the iguanas and tarpon, had the monkeys climb all over us (so much fun), went to a chocolate factory (yummy and not to be missed), and had a delicious lunch where they served iguana among other local dishes. Talia brought us to a souvenir shop that had extraordinary Honduras-made products of excellent quality and price. If you make a reservation with Roatan Trips and Tour, I would encourage you to ask for her. I wish you as wonderful a time as my family and I had. Ginny. Parkland, Florida.

She is very knowledgeable about the history of Honduras she explained the true meaning of the island and its history. I highly recommend this tour hopefully she's your tour guide she is amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The tour guide and bus driver are excellent. The guide was very knowledgeable and answer all of the crazy questions that the kids ask. They took us everywhere and we even got to see the local animals We have a fastic lunch over looking the island. This had to be the one of the tours that I have been on in a long time.

We booked this excursion on our day in Roatan for our honeymoon. We could not have asked for a better experience. Thalia Jeffries was a phenomenal tour guide, friendly, and was very knowledgeable. The reef that was seen while snorkeling was also beautiful. Definitely recommend this trip.

We booked the beach and jungle horseback riding and it did not disappoint! First off, the booking was so easy. We booked it online while laying in bed winding what to do at port the next day. Ease of booking was too good! Next, the excursion itself was honestly one of the best we’ve been on. They went the extra mile to make sure we got a good taste of Roatan by taking us to an authentic gift market where we bought from locals, not the port. Durian was amazingly kind and generous with his time and didn’t make us feel rushed or anything like we have with other excursions with other companies. They kept the ships departure time in mind and made sure we saw all that we could with ample time to get back onboard! 5 starts for Durian and the crew and will definitely be booking with RTT again when we come back to Roatan.

Brian was a great tour guide. He showed us some sites around town, took us to his favorite coffee spot (at the request of our girls), and finished our tour with some site-seeing from a boat and some awesome snorkeling. Our group of 10 all agreed that this excursion was the highlight of our 7 day cruise.

We booked very very short notice the freestyle tour (one day before!). 4 adults and 1 baby - everything went smoothly. Guide spoke English very well, driver was very friendly and arranged a discount for an eco park. They explained a lot about the island and made suggestions, but also engaged 100% in our wishes. We would 100% recommend them.

The snorkeling was fantastic! Probably the best we've done and better than some scuba dives we've done. Also loved the land tour. Sherna was our land guide. She was very informative and also funny!!! We also had Jonathan and Kohlim for part of the tour and they were also wonderful. I highly recommend this company. It is small and family owned and they go out of their way to make your experience the best!

Roatan Trips and Tours. I wasn't sure what to expect, our travel agent made the reservation. THALIA JEFFRIES... was an absolutely wonderful tour guide, a lovely, she's a well spoken young lady -- perfect English!!. Thalia had to combine 2 groups together and she made it seamless.. Her wealth of knowledge and ability to respond to all ?s in great detail was just SO exceptional... don't remember having a better tour ANYWHERE.
