Such a fun time!
Mar 2021
We did the whale watching excursion in late March 2021 -- myself, my mother, and my girls (ages 7 and 10). The boat was AWESOME! Huge, very clean, nice upper- and lower-level viewing areas, both in the shade and in the sun. It would be so fun to do a snorkel tour from this boat! :)

In total, we had ~6 whale sightings. Unfortunately, never super close, but fun nonetheless. We also saw a large pod of dolphins as we were leaving the pier where the tour took off from. We were served Hawaii chips and a brownie (all individually packaged). It was nice to have snacks! Staff was nice and knowledgeable. Lots of whale facts shared. Staff enforced social distancing and mask wearing and hand sanitizer was accessible throughout the boat.

Tips: wear sunscreen! We didn't do a great job of applying sunscreen and ended up sitting in the sun on the upper level. We all paid for it the next day! Also, the area where the boat takes off is great for walking around (cute shops, restaurants, and a nice beach area). So if you're not in walking distance, include time in your day to spend in Kona/Kailua, too!

Aloha destinwed! Mahalo for the five star rating and awesome review! We are so grateful! Yes, our snorkel trip is super fun and as return guest you can enjoy our "repeat offender" discount when you join us next time! Thank you for sharing that Kailua Kona is a fun place to visit as well. Our quaint village area is about a mile walk of cute shops and quite a bit of Hawaiian history. We wish you all our best; thank you for joining us!

The trip promised whale watching and they delivered. Took us right to the whales and right back. Otherwise not particularly impressed. Safety was good.

Saw a bunch of whales!
The entire body glove crew was great. Dan the naturalist was fantastic, and Captain Bob took extra time to spend some time with a calf and a mama whale.

Do it!!
Mahalo to captain Bob for a wonderful afternoon at sea. It was our 10 month old’s first boat ride and he loved it! We got to see humpback whales up close. Dennis was an amazing naturalist, I have a marine biology degree and I still learned something new! I love that this company strictly follows the marine mammal protection act rules, and doesn’t chase the whales. Super ethical wildlife viewing. We also appreciated that everyone followed mask protocol on board- super important for those of us with babies who can’t wear masks. Mahalo body glove!!

Fun Whale Watching Tour
We had an amazing time on this tour! We were able to see adult and baby humpback whales, they even breached! They had snacks and drinks, as well as very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Shout out to Dennis, the whale expert, who taught us all about these awesome animals, and putting it into terms we could understand. Overall had a blast and will gladly be going again!

Whale Watching WOW!
Mar 2020 • Couples
We live near Pahoa (Puna) and decided to splurge on a Whale Watching Tour.
There are so many companies to choose from, but a friend recommended Body Glove. What a great choice! We were out for about 2.5 hours. The boat is very comfortable and spacious. There's a wonderful spread with fresh fruit, snack mix, hummus and assorted beverages. There's also a cash bar!
2 words:Piña Colada! The crew was incredible! They even had a Naturalist that was very engaging and informative. We learned a lot about humpbacks and most other ocean denizens...

And then there were the whales!
We spotted a mother and calf within the first 15 minutes of our tour.
We were able to stay in their vicinity for the whole time. We saw a few other whales at a distance, but the mom and her baby were amazing!
For the last hour they consistently breached, flapped their tails and the mom did a fancy waving maneuver!

What a Wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Aloha Sue, Thank you for joining us on the Whale Watch Excursion! While we can guarantee whales and great information from the Naturalist, the beautiful days are always an added bonus. Winter does not often come to Hawai'i and we have had some rainy days, but the clear blue skies make for great whale watching! We hope you continue to experience beautiful days! See you again soon!
