We went on the Private Charter Sunset luxury Cruise.. very over priced for what you get.. I understand there is no control over the sunset which was behind a mountain but still pretty… there was fruit provided but due to the high price I was expecting champagne or wine.., while I understand their are costs attributed to the rebuild process, the price was excessive. The boat was nice enough… the name of the cruise was a bit deceiving… we went in September 2024

We had such an amazing time whale watching with Blue Water Maui. Great boat and a friendly, informative, and engaging crew. Breaching whales, mothers and calves, trumpeting, and whale songs actually heard through the hull of the boat were all part of the experience. This was our second time using Blue Water Maui and we will use them again in the future! It was also good to see a tour operating again out of Lahaina on the long road to recovery. We would highly recommend to anybody looking for a magical day on the water!

We had the best time on the Ali'i Whale Tour! The weather was pristine, and Brian our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We chose a more expensive tour to get a more private visit with the whales, and even though we had a boat engine malfunction, the captain was still able to take us out a short way, and watch a juvenile whale frolic for awhile. It was a great experience. Because the trip was shorter than expected, the company refunded us part of our payment which was very kind and considerate. I highly recommend this tour if you are going to Maui!

I always choose Blue Water in Lahaina when I want to see some North Pacific Humpback whales in the winter. They always have the best crew who are so knowledgeable and funny and kind. Brian and Justin were our crew yesterday and we loved hanging out with them. Brian may have the best whale-spotting-eyes on Maui and Justin always postioned the boat in a way for the best viewing. They were almost predictive of where the whales would breach and surface! It's always an adventure with Bluw Water and I really appreciate how they keep their guest number small so you have plenty of space on the boat to move around and get a front row seat for the action! It is WELL worth the little extra cost to experience "the coolest thing I have ever seen in my entire life." That's a direct quote from one of the other passengers who was on the boat with us yesterday. We will always choose Blue Water over any other raft out here on Maui. Mahalo for the amazing memories!

Love this experience! Brian and Justin were fantastic. We saw soooo many whales including babies. Because it’s smaller it was easier to ask our questions and strike up conversations. Highly recommend Maui in late January and don’t miss out on going out with these folks to see the humpbacks!

I had three in my group. There were only a total of 5 counting us that had booked for our time slot. My husband was the only one that was also diving so I was worried they would cancel his dive but they didn’t! The highlight of the excursion for me was that they stopped and let us take pics and video of a huge group of dolphins we came across. I have never seen so many dolphins at once! One of the reasons I chose this company was because of the floating mat they have attached to the boat. I am a nonswimmer and being in the ocean gives me anxiety. I was able to lay on the mat and look into the water with the snorkeling gear on. The tour guides were great and very patient. Would recommend this company.

Loved every minute. Small group experience is 1000 times better than big boats. So much personal attention. Captains were personable and catered to all of us. Five is our family group ages ranging from 6 to 70! All of us had an amazing time. The masks that we brought with us were a problem and the guys furnished us with better ones! Can’t say enough great things about this company. Thank you Blue Water!

Wow! What a great experience the entire family enjoyed. We had 2 great guides who showed us a great time. The boat was small and we happened to go on a day with only 9 passengers aboard which gave us great opportunity to move around. We traveled to several spots catching all kinds of whale action. Great day on the water and highly recommended.

We had a great time snorkeling and our 15 year old daughter got to SCUBA which was amazing for her. Ryan the SCUBA instructor was wonderful, patient, and easy going. We saw eels, octopus, reef sharks, plenty of turtles, thousands of fish, and a couple whales!

This tour is why you come to Maui! Brian and Chad helped our family make memories of a lifetime. We saw whales from the perfect distance (close enough to hear them breathe!!! but not so close that it felt unethical), had an amazing snorkel and then the perfect first SCUBA experience for our kids. We have hesitated to get our kids SCUBA certified since we live in a land-locked state. Our divemaster worked with the kids to make sure they were safe and comfortable and they LOVED it! Highly highly highly recommend!

Chad, Mark & Brian were the absolute best!! All very knowledgeable and funny. We were out viewing whales within minutes of loading the boat. They launch from a boat ramp that isn't crowded and easy to quick load not like the busy harbor in Lahaina. The boat itself is in great shape. Clean, comfortable, well maintained. We spotted whales for a good part of the morning then went snorkeling for just the right amount of time. Not too long to get bored and just long enough to see some great sea life. After that we spotted more whales and the guys had answers to all of our questions. Our last stop was an amazing snorkel / dive spot with so many turtles and even witnessed an underwater wedding. My wife and six year old daughter absolutely loved every minute. We will defiantly be back next time we are in Maui - couldn't recommend these guys more!

Great day of whale watching and snorkeling! Both places we snorkeled were fantastic- lots of fish, coral, turtles, and even a shark. Captain Mark, Nicole, and Kevin were very helpful and had a lot of funny stories to keep you entertained. Lunch was tasty and I loved that they were willing to accommodate for dairy and gluten allergies. We really loved the fact that it was a small group- 12 people- which made for a more personal time.
