We had an absolutely amazing time. We saw three very large sharks and we were so close to them! I’d suggest the GoPro rental if you do not have your own. Well worth the cost.

This experience was amazing! I took my sons ages 10 and 17 and they had a blast. Hunter and Caleb were awesome. They were fun, informative, and very attentive. At first I was worried that my kids would be too cold in the water since it’s November but they said the water was warm. I half expected my 10 year old to chicken out but he didn’t have an issue with it at all. Definitely something you should do if you have the chance.

I love that you can either bring your own camera or rent their GoPro. Most companies have someone take pics and you have to pay for them and you can’t bring your own and there is no guarantee they get good pics of you. They were cool people and made the whole experience great. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed the trip. It was a great and wonderful experience. Both the weather and the atmosphere was wonderful. If I could do again soon, I will. If I visit again, I will bring some refreshments for myself while on the boat.

We went on this shark tour as a work bonding trip from Iolani Palace and out of the 10 of us that made it only one of us had been on a shark tour so it was first time for a lot of us. This was truly a most unforgettable and awesome experience for all of us that we will never forget. The staff on the boat was just as awesome as seeing the the sharks because of how friendly and knowledgeable about the ocean and the sharks. I highly recommend doing this shark tour at least once. Our group is talking about going again and other staff want to go now. Thanks again for this awesome experience.

I was finally able to cross this off my list- the encounter was absolutely amazing. Guides were very educational and ensured everyone’s safety was number one priority. Over 10 sharks spotted! The most incredible experience 10/10 recommended.

The crew was very helpful and safety conscious. It only took 10 to 15 minutes to get out to the floating shark cage. There were very large sharks there the entire time, inches from us. I highly recommend this encounter.

We went out on the 9AM trip on September 22, 2024. Our Captains were David and Ephraim. We took a short ride out to the shark cage, and our group of four went in the cage first (12 total on our boat). All four of us immediately saw Galapagos sharks swimming around the cage. We brought our own snorkel gear, but masks and snorkels were available. GoPros were available to rent. We had our own so I don’t know the cost. The trip was wonderful, we got fabulous pictures, and our Captains took great care of us and had lots of information about sharks in the region. Highly recommend!! 10/10 . GoPros were also available to rent, but we had our own cameras. Each group had approximately 30 minutes in the water.

I was a little nervous when booking this experience but my husband was super excited! He had recommended this company after doing research and seeing all the good feedback. It was easy to book and the boat ride was good. I’m someone who gets motion sickness easily so I took a Dramamine and had no issues on the boat ride. Being in the cage is not as scary as it seems and the crew were very educated and made me feel much more relaxed. Towards the end I got a little nauseous after the waves started picking up but once I got back on the boat, drank some water, and we headed back I was totally fine. We would definitely recommend this experience and would do it again!

We had an amazing experience. I am actually terrified of the sea but he the kids wanted to go so we wanted them to enjoy the experience. After seeing the sharks from the back of the boat and talking to the guide I decided to join them. Well I must say I thoroughly loved it and would highly recommend the tour, the guys (Hunter and the experienced Shark expert - sorry forgot your name) made us feel relaxed, and I would of missed out on a life experience if you had not made me feel at ease. If you've never been shark cage diving, it is life changing. I cannot recommend it enough through Hawaii Shark Encounters. As awesome as the experience is in itself, the chill, knowledgeable, and reassuring boat captains made the trip successful for my family (two adults, a 12, and a 10-year old). We felt calm and safe the entire time because of their lead while having a kind blowing time watching these serene beauties.

We did this with our kids (9 and 11), and had an amazing experience. Not only was everything as promised but more. The crew lend us a GoPro stick and made sure our family went in together in the cage. Everyone was super friendly and helpful in any way. Don’t have one bad thing to say, definitely would book this company again!

Everything was wonderful. The one thing I didn’t like, the pictures . It was a waste of money . it was difficult for me to breathe, I often floated to the surface, so I got a photo with only my legs

This was fantastic value and most importantly we felt safe with the lovely crew who shared their knowledge with us all and had 11 huge galapagos sharks circling our cage!!! Loved every minute of it.

This was a great experience. The crew was helpful and made for a fun and cool time. We were safe thanks to the crew keeping us informed as to how to approach this experience. I'd do this again.
