      Beautiful, no Amazing
We had a beautiful 2:30pm 1.5 hour ride with Lucas. The horses and ranch are beautiful and well cared for. The views are stunning. Lucas our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Great afternoon.

      Horse lovers dream
This was such an amazing outing. There were super cute goats in the petting zoo while we waited for our ride to start. I do love a petting zoo. It was all very beautiful and romantic. Our horses were sweethearts , very patient and friendly. They were so gentle with the mountain terrain , I felt completely at ease the entire time, riding through forest areas , pastures, and winding mountain trails. Our guide, Bridgette, was fantastic. Very friendly and informative. Fun to talk to. The dinner was a secluded spot overlooking the ocean and surrounding hills, next to a campfire. The ride back was beautiful at dusk, but I felt like I would like to keep riding as long as the horse would let me. Overall, it was a perfect experience with awesome animals and super cool cowboys and cowgirls to guide the way

      Advanced Ride
We had a private advanced ride with Heather, and it was literally the highlight of our entire Hawaii trip, and the best ride of our lives!! We got to trot, canter, and have amazing conversations with our wrangler, who is now a friend of ours. Could not recommend any more!! Was so so much fun and Heather is the best :)

      A Gentle and Chill Ride
I took two of my almost teens grandchildren along with me. The horses were great and my grandson, who had never been on a horse before, had no problems handling his. The ride meandered through beautiful meadows and groves while we walked the horses the entire way. Sydney was a great guide and talked about the ranch, plants and trees as we rode by. Great ride for someone wanting a gentle, chill experience.

Sweetheart Ride was a highlight of our whole trip!
Jared and Lucas took us on an advanced ride, and adjusted to suit our comfort and ability. We had a great time letting Libby and Joey carry us out on the perimeter to a picnic. We learned a lot about the ranch, the island, and the drive up from Honolulu was well worth it! We'll be back, and I'll practice so next time Joey can go fast like he wants to!

      Amazing little adventure for everyone!
We‘ve been on an 1,5h scenic ride with our guide Cooper. Our horses Tax and Mowgli were super chill & we enjoyed many great views of the ranch & the island. We both had zero riding experience but got a great introduction from the amazing staff. On the ride we learned many things about the land, plants and about the horses. Big big recommendation for everyone that visits the island. Many thanks to all the staff and especially to our lovely guide Cooper who we shared an amazing time & good conversation with MAHALO! Pretty SWEET Experience
Ride: Sweetheart Couples w/ Lunch Value: Totally worth the $. They don't skimp on lunch -- there's a LOT of food. The ride is perfect -- they break it up into two sections with lunch at a scenic lookout in the middle of your ride. Having done many horse-back riding tours before -- this place is definitely top of our list of favorites and was a highlight of our honeymoon Tour Guide: Summer was awesome. Did a great job at showing us the ranch and giving us history on the land. Super personable. Great at balancing chit chat while also allowing time to enjoy the views in peaceful silence. Ranch: WOW. Great service -- everyone was super friendly. There's a petting zoo on site (free) so this is great for families. We noticed that people were getting lessons as well -- it seems to cater to not only tourists but also locals. Animal Treatment: Impressive. Each one was treated like family. Horses are rotated and given days off. The staff has cute names for every animal on the property. You can tell how well the animals are treated based on how their personalities are evident. There's a goat that thinks it's a dog and doesn't stay in the gate -- hilarious! Overall: Really well-run business. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Owner was awesome -- would definitely come back again

The real deal with nice horses and kind folks
I went on the advanced ride first thing in the morning midweek. I rented a car for a day and drove from Waikiki, where I was staying for a conference. The drive took just over an hour and was lovely itself. I was mounted on a nice horse, Remy, a quarter horse, who was responsive and kind. Because I was on an advanced ride, and it was midweek (and very early!), I was the only one out on the ride, which was a lovely treat. I also enjoyed getting to know my knowledgeable and talented guide, Bridget, who, even though she's only lived on the island for a few months so far, could tell me a lot about the plants and animals we encountered and the history of the ranch and the land. Because it was an advanced ride, we did plenty of cantering, but you definitely need to be a strong rider to be able to do so. All of the other rides they take guests on are walking-only rides, and I'm sure these are lovely, too. Just not what I was looking for. So glad I chose this place over the much, much, much larger Kualoa Ranch, which I stopped at briefly on my way back to Waikiki. That place has a Disneyland vibe, while Gunstock is a working ranch with cattle, about 40 head of riding horses, and about 50 boarders.

      Beautiful adventure
North Shore has beautiful beaches but we wanted to see the inland side. We got to travel along hidden trails into the rolling hills around the ranch. We loved feeding the cattle. Ocean, our guide and driver, was full of information about the ranch and its history.

Fantastic horseback ride in gorgeous area
Highly recommend Gunstock Ranch. We had a blast on our Advanced Trail ride with Bridgette. The staff is friendly and engaging, the trails are beautiful, and lots of options for kiddos, first-time riders, up to those who have been riding for years.

      Sweetheart Ride
Mateo was a wonderful guide. Horses were beautiful. Lunch was simple but plentiful. Beautiful views enjoyed. It was very warm at the base. The ride was shaded and perfect temperature drop. They were kind enough to provide sunscreen as we forgot ours. If we are lucky enough to return to Hawaii would go again.

Great experience inc for kids at a good price
It was a shame to see the ridiculous prices on the north shore now the Ritz own TBR and I'd assume based on massive price jile at stables, they bought them out too - but not sure, however either way their prices are a joke at Turtle Bay. Luckily, this place is 10mins up the road and approx half the price and with great service. Awesome experience and service. We'll be back for certain.

This was a great experience. We left in the ATV with Braeley at 5 and traveled through the mountains stopping along the way at various sites. Braeley was very knowledgeable and friendly. We stopped at the top of the mountain for a dinner by a campfire. The view was magnificent! It was truly a romantic evening.

The views we amazing! The horses were beautiful and gentle! The dinner spot was gorgeous, food was delicious, campfire for s’mores was so fun and they had great tree swing to use. Coming back down to see an amazing sunset on horseback was so fun. My kids (age 11&10) said this was a favorite on vacation. Employees were great to work with. Would highly recommend and would also do again.

First I must say I heard of the ranch from the Hilton Hawaiian village concierge desk.

If you’re looking for a dream destination for a private intimate proposal look no further. First I must say our plane was delayed a full day and we missed our original date and time. The ranch was so accommodating and rescheduled without a problem.

Our guide listened when we said we wanted to go fast and extreme. When I say we whipped through the woods I would be underselling it. At one point we had to put on safety glasses because of brush flying into our faces. (If that’s not the kind of excursion they can also adjust that on the private tour)

Dinner was set up beautifully, tasted amazing, and was quite the romantic ambiance. The guide leaves you and your person on top of a cliff with a picnic, fire, and drinks set up. I brought a small speaker to fully set the mood. Set up a GoPro and the rest was history. She said yes. ❤️
