- zeynept3610 contributionsDisappointing and Misleading ExperienceWe booked a 3-hour tour expecting to learn about the city's history and culture, as advertised. However, the experience fell far short of our expectations. The guide simply drove us past the port, took us to the Kasbah (hilltop castle), the central mosque, and then to an argan oil workshop (which seemed to be a business arrangement). Finally, we were dropped off at the Souk El Had (bazaar) . The entire experience lasted only 1.5 hours, and there was absolutely no historical or cultural insight provided by the guide. We felt misled, disappointed, and as if we were just part of a commercial arrangement rather than a genuine tour. It was a waste of time and money. Would not recommend to others looking for an authentic or informative tour experience.Written 21 December 2024

Driving dune buggies in Morocco at Hassan’s Royal Moto was an amazing experience. We were collected from our hotel and driven to what appeared to be the middle of nowhere. Once we arrived and buckled into the buggy, we drove on the road a short distance to a dirt track, across the dunes and all the way to the ocean. We felt the thrill of speed and adventure as I maneuvered my buggy over the sand and enjoyed the breathtaking views of the landscape. The buggy was a little underpowered with two adults in it but they have to accommodate a variety of driving skills and not everyone is a rally driver. We briefly stopped at the beach to try driving a quad, which was another fun challenge. We then continued the journey to a coastal cafe, where we had a refreshing mint tea and some tasty snacks, all included in the price. The guide, Hassan, was friendly and enthusiastic about our visit. He shared his knowledge and passion for the area and made sure we had a great time. Once we finished, we chatted with the whole team about their lives and culture while we waited for our transport to arrive. They were very welcoming and hospitable. This was a first class outing that I highly recommend to anyone looking for an exciting adventure in Morocco. 🌵🏝️

Brilliant experience!
Collected on time from the front of our hotel - about a 30/40 min drive to the start point.
No messing around when we arrived, get your goggle and mount up. You drive on the road for a few hundred meters to the start of a dust track.
We had a mix of confidence levels in our group and they ended up splitting us up within a few minutes. It was as if they really wanted to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves at their level.
Crossing the tracks at full speed was unbelievable fun and there was no problems with you trying to rally a little bit or get a good skid in.
You stop twice on the trip - first at the sea for a few photos and paddle then continue onto a small fishing village where you're served tea and snacks (there's water etc to buy too).
After that we headed back as a group along the road to the start point and you're dropped off back at your hotel.
The guys were really friendly and the whole experience was a blast. My only negative comment was that we returned via road and not along the sand/track.
The whole experience including transfers was about 4 hours and we paid €70 for 2 people.
Highly recommended experience!!

The driver picked us up in time from our hotel.
And I can confirm, this pick up was included the price of this activity stated here! There was no additional fee to pay!
We choose the buggy option, what was fun, even the power of the engine was limited a bit.
Muad our guide was incredible, he made us unforgattable memories! We started on the dirt road, and after our ride on the beach, and took some awesome pics, we headed to a lovely local house to enjoy some tea, nuts, olives, and cookies. The view from the balcony, where they served all the snacks for us was breathtaking!
We highly recommend this activity if you are in Agadir! Thanks for the fun time to Muad and the team!

We had a fun trip out on the dune buggies, you could have your own or share, both myself and my fiancé shared one and swapped on the way back. It was a fun experience, was a bit of a bumpy ride throughout, I’d advise old trainers, old clothes and wipes as our clothes got quite dirty! We went in November so was quite windy glad I wore a hoodie! I do not really have any complaints. It was worth the money after the trip we were offered traditional mint tea. Worth a go.

Very good craic. We took dune buggy’s over quads, travelled along dirt paths in convoy, and arrived at a tiny Berber settlement where a local performed a wee song for everyone. Unfortunately due to the convoy nature we couldn’t get up to anything too wild, but definitely lots of craic if you make it for yourself. Local Berber musician was a bit of unexpected fun and got involved the crowd in a good way without being pushy at all. Would highly recommend for beginners to your low level adrenaline junkies. You will get super dusty so bring old clothes and plan your showers/sea swim afterwards accordingly.

Great experience starting off on the road but soon headed into the middle of nowhere through dirt tracks and sand tracks till we reached the breathtaking coast and down to the sand dunes and sea. Time to stop and take in the views and take some pictures. Back via a tea and biscuit stop WITH some local live music (a guy with a guitar). On the whole, an excellent trip, well worth the money with the staff friendly, helpful and always ready to help.

Was a little cautious about this after reading some negative reviews, and being our first time doing such an activity, we didn't really have anything to compare it to. But after the experience we can honestly say it was one of the highlights of our holiday.
After an hours drive, we arrived at base camp, which is simply a garage off the side of the road, but what more do you need. We were then set up with our buggy. The rest of the group went on quads, but the wife wasn't confident enough to try these.
We went as a group following the guides for a 60-minute ride off-road and onto a beach area. This was great fun and only wished the buggy was as fast as the quad bikes.
We stopped 20 minutes for photos, and the guides gave individuals a ride to the top of the dunes (if you wanted to). Pulling wheelies, etc. We then rode back and stopped for a Moroccan tea with music by the owner before a short ride back to base.
You do get very dusty, so make sure you're dressed for it.
The vehicles were in good working order and safe, albeit a bit old.
Prior experience isn't necessary, but I suppose you do need to know how to drive/ride.
Would definitely recommend this activity with this group.

The guide was amazing! He even managed to get my sister to drive a buggy on her own (she suffers from severe anxiety and other mental health issues and has never driven in her life).
The Buggies were a bit underpowered for me, but they were in a safe and workable order.
Very good value for money and a great experience.

We went on the sand buggy trip as a family of 5 (3 older teens). We had a fantastic time, A transfer was arranged as we stayed just outside the pick up area to meet up with the main tour bus. We then travelled approx half hour from Agadir to the place. We were given masks and shown to our buggies. We then went for approx half hour drive in the sand tracks, had a wee stop for local tea and biscuits and then another half hour round the sand tracks. We had great fun. Would recommend you wear clothes you not planning on wearing again unless you can wash it as you get covered in sand!! 😂 We were then transferred back to Agadir and then again to our actual hotel. We were away for approx 4-4 1/2 hrs in total. Would highly recommend this trip if you wanting some adventure and fun.

Terrible! The buggies didn’t even work properly and was very unsafe. The terrain was awful it was on a rocky field. Do not buy from here either paid £120 and it wasn’t even good, other travellers told us they paid £20. Very upset and annoyed. The only good thing was the little den where we had tea. Would definitely NOT recommend! It is advertised as an amazing route when it is all one dirt road track do not book this if you value your time and money. Left this experience feeling upset and awful.
