About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- alijI4643ZR0 contributionsFantastic Experience to Chefchaouen the Blue City Full-Day Trip from CasablancaThis is a must tour and experience. Our driver was very helpful and allowed us to take breaks along the way going and coming back from Chefchaouen as its about a 3 hour drive each way. The city itself is absolutely amazing with lots of shops, restaurants, cafes, unique stores local to the city, and the views are remarkable.Written 23 December 2024
- johnuA8083RL0 contributions7 stars if given the option! Thank you, Ismail!SAFARI Desert Tours is by far the best itinerary offered for our private 6 day trip in Morocco. Communication is always a key factor when it comes to booking tours and accommodations and they delivered. The agency itself had that on point. Smooth transactions without hassles and hesitations. Enough thinking and reading, just book with them. Much respect to our kind friend Ismail for taking us anywhere and everywhere. While you take a quick nap inside the vehicle he is making sure of our safety. The frequent coffee stops were truly amazing! We’d consider that as one of our highlights even if it’s not listed on the provided itinerary. The cooperative shops maybe a nuisance to others but it helps the countries tourism economy. Sooner or later you will eventually give in, because we did. Thank you for everything. Also, don’t be stingy and tip the guy or your private driver. He deserves more than that. The amount of drive time he did on our 6 day adventure is a lot of work. It takes discipline, coffee intake and dedication to such task. We thank you for the favors you have provided to us. We will not forget. Maybe we will see each other again during the FIFA World Cup 2030 hosted by your beloved country.Written 8 December 2024
- Michand30 contributionsGreat day out! This was a great experience. I was collected by Ali and his daughter Zeneb and I would like to thank them for their kind hospitality. Ali is a very warm, caring man and I felt safe in his hands on the long journey. I really enjoyed my interaction with Zeneb who is a very intelligent young woman and very interesting to talk to. I loved learning about the differences in our cultures. The guide in Chefchaouen was also good and his knowledge of the city and history of Morocco was excellent. I have wanted to visit Chefchaouen for a very long time and I’m so glad to have experienced it with such lovely people.Written 23 July 2024
- Avabijoux0 contributionsmust do!Overall - worth it! If you have an extra day - you should 100% do it. The drive is long- but it doesn’t feel too bad. Very doable! The driver, Ismail, was the best! Made the time go by so quick there and back- and stopped for breaks for the bathroom or food whenever. He was so accommodating! He was full of information regarding Morocco, as he gave us information all along the drive regarding the countryside lifestyle. The guide at Chefchaouen was very nice as well. He was a little soft spoken- sometimes was difficult to hear! Also beware of the tourist traps while on your tour in the blue city- as your guide may try to persuade you to go into a rug shop, which will take up some of your limited time there! The people of the blue city are so kind- and it is as beautiful as the photos look!Written 7 July 2024
- rupeshjparikh0 contributionsMay not be worth 5 hour drive !Driver Abdul was great-wish he was our guide - but the actual guide _ Abdullah was terrible - made the 5 hour drive not worth it ; talked to his friends more than he talked to us and gave us no history or co text behind the beautiful city ; he just said take photo here or there - and made the day not worth it 3 stars - because driver was great - took care of family and our needsWritten 26 May 2024
- Jyoti-Calgary0 contributionsExcellent tour of RabatVery good trip to Rabat. Our tour guide Ibrahim was very knowledgeable. He took good care and educated us on the history of the most important places in Rabat. I highly recommend this tour.Written 19 February 2024
- Z3821EHlindsayw0 contributionsAmazing trip!We had such an amazing trip thanks to Abdul! While making the drive, he was able to give us so much information on Morocco, and its culture. We took an amazing tour of the city, and had lunch. Then we made the drive back to Casablanca. Couldn’t recommend this trip anymore!Written 17 November 2023
- amandad1790 contributionsLong drive but well worth it!There is a lot of travelling (5 hours each way) but it’s definitely worth it. Chefchaouen, the Blue City, is absolutely stunning. The people are so friendly, the old town is beautiful and we took some fabulous photos. Our driver was really great, it was a long day for him but he drove us so carefully and safely. Our guide in Chefchaouen, Abdelghafour Rahmouni, was superb too. He took us all around the old town, showed us a good place to eat, and we learned so much of the history of the area, Chefchaouen, Islam etc from him. I really recommend this trip. Although there is a lot of driving, the minibus was very comfortable and there were plenty of stops along the way for food, drinks and toilet breaks.Written 26 October 2023
- Taydra F0 contributionsWorth the visit! It was a great experience. The drive was smooth our driver was very quiet but also very pleasant and would ask if we were ok or needed anything/any breaks. Our driver(forgive me for forgetting his name- he’s young and from Marrakech) he was a kind soul and allowed us to stop for food on our way back! As for our guide Abdul, he was very pleasant and he was excellent at taking pictures. He was also very patient and kind. He also helped us find miscellaneous souvenirs. Very honest people, the trip was lovely!Written 3 August 2023
- julianbO4813RA0 contributionsGreat companyThis was a great trip, from beginning to end. The airline pushed our trip by one day, but Sahara tours accommodated our tour with no problem. The driver was with us the entire stay in the country, and was very nice and profesional. I highly recommend this company and this tour. The cities shown were amazing, the hotels were excellent all on safe areas. Nothing but good things. Thanks!!Written 13 July 2023
- neilf6090 contributionsA terrible night at Chez AliThe food was awful. There was no choice, the chicken course was so overcooked it was difficult to ear and it was served in a meat gravy with kidneys and liver. The following platter of mutton, couscous and vegetables was again so overcooked it was unpleasant. The show afterwards was hilariously bad. Never have I seen, nor could I perceive such a poorly produced show. One belly dancer on an elevated stage about 30 metres from the audience that couldn’t see the performer due to the distance! A troup of camels that walked round the arena twice, and some actors dressed as nomads who chased a flock of sheep on to the far end of the arena and then were never seen again. Three or four horsemen then rode around performing some really unspectacular gymnastic feats before they all fired rifles. Don’t go, avoid it, it was a waste of time and money.Written 29 June 2023
- Kimberley G0 contributionsOverall, good value for moneyI knew the drive was going to be long but the driver didn’t say a word to us for the first two hours of the drive except to tell me there was no wifi when I asked (even though it was advertised there would be wifi). Luckily there was a lovely bunch of people on the tour and we amused ourselves for the long drive. Once we arrived, our guide was lovely, knowledgeable, and patiently offered to take numerous photos of us all in this stunning place. Chefchaouen itself is absolutely beautiful and for that reason alone, I would recommend this tour.Written 12 June 2023
- wa5030 contributions6 Days Tour in MoroccoPlaces we visited were awesome, the sceneries were great, unfortunately not whole trip was properly arranged. If you are planning to do this trip make sure to ask for Sufian our driver, very knowledgeable, helpful and entertaining throughout the trip. His great planning and inside knowledge of touristic sites will add a big smile to everyone in the tour, espicially with kids!Written 4 May 2023
- Navigate440217239800 contributionsHighly recommend!Morocco is a beautiful country. Phenomenal vistas and new experiences at every turn. The tour was fast paced but with some built in wiggle room -so you didn't necessarily feel rushed. The hotels and riadhs we stayed at were very comfortable -warm and welcoming. Our driver Abdul was marvelous - friendly, knowledgeable and always making sure we were having a good time. Highly recommend!Written 30 April 2023
- Mumsieonthego N0 contributionsFew changes and it would be perfectEverything offered in the information of this tour is accurate and delivered on time. The drive to Chefchaouen from Casablanca is 5 hours. 3 hours is spent in the Blue City. One hour of this time is lunch. 30 minutes of this time is a stop at a carpet store for a sales pitch. What’s left 1.5 hours to walk around with an informative guide, who worked with in the time lines given to him. This is not much time to explore, ship, or take pictures. We were rushed through all of this to meet required time lines. He did not want me to stop and buy a few trinkets and rushed to shop keeper to wrap them up quickly. One gal on our trip was very interested in having Insta pictures taken at the popular places, again, rushed. I do not blame the guide or the driver, they did their job within time lines given. I do have some suggestions. 1. Give us the menu for the restaurant on the drive to Chefchaouen, while we are on the tour, the driver takes this to the restaurant and the guide calls 1/2 hour before our arrival. This would cut lunch time in half, giving an extra 1/2 hour to explore. 2. Ask us if we want to spend 1/2 hour in a carpet shop. We were led there to BUY carpets. None of us were interein this and had to make a rude exit to get out. Could have used this time to explore, take pictures. With these changes, we could have explored for 2.5 hours instead of 1.5 hours.Written 29 April 2023
