About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- IsabelleB13610 contributionsDon’t get fooled!:)First we got picked up close to our riad, brought at the “marocain palace “ ! It’s basically a restaurant lol . We were just the two of us in the beautiful restaurant for 45 minutes ! Until a group joined us . Basically: music: 2 man playing guitare and singing : 1 girl came and did a 5 min dance , 1 guy did the same ! NOT WORTHY FOOD AND SERVICE : perfect ! Was really good tajine, couscous ! Big portion service was really good ! Would have paid way less in a regular restaurant !:) Decor : prettyWritten 12 October 2024
- jennywL5423KG0 contributionsA ride in a car seeing the beauty of the Atlas Mountains. We met at a central location to be picked up as vehicles can’t reach the Riad accommodation down narrow streets. Kamal spotted us so we jumped in his SUV car ( not a big four wheel truck as expected ) with two other people. 3 people a the back and one at the front with the driver . It was a bit squashed but we didn’t mind as luckily the people we jumped m with were so lovely . We hit it off very well and had much to chat about on the journey. Kamal added a few bits of information but generally we chatted between ourselves. We headed South towards Tahanaout but took a left into the Atlas Mountains which ended up being a ‘ loop ‘ route around the mountains. We stopped for breakfast at a cooperative for women who work make Argan Oils of all types and sell on goods . We had a light breakfast with mint tea , bread and dips then bought some goods from the Co operative. Then we headed up to see more of the Atlas terrain looking at houses perched on cliffs , seeing local schools and stopped to take pictures. Then we finally stopped for a lunch at a beautiful hotel setting in the mountains. We had a long leisurely lunch with our new friends and chatted for ages. The staff here were so helpful and courteous. Many locals came there for lunch which is a good sign . Then we headed back via the mountains towards Tahanaout however because we had such a long lunch didn’t stop at grain mills ! That was our fault as no time left. We learnt a bit about the history of the Amazigh / Berber people when we asked Kamal questions . However it wasn’t really a tour guide experience- more of a relaxed ride with conversations on the way lead by us. That suited us as it was less formal and instructive. The day was perfect for us as we made new friendships and had a very tasty lunch in a wonderful setting . Some people however may want a more informative and immersive experience . One thing to note - we took walking boots but this is not a walking or trekking trip. Much of it is sitting in a vehicle , stopping for breaks and sitting for food!Written 30 September 2024

- Curiosity460530842960 contributionsDon’t botherI have no idea why this is highly rated, I would’ve much more preferred a nice dinner. The bus had no air conditioning to transport us over 45 min in 90 degree weather, the co-op with the argan demonstration was underwhelming, and the food was bland and dry. The only entertaining part of the night was the fire show. We met at the meeting spot at 4:15, however the sun didn’t set until 7. We sat around in the heat for hours. Lastly drop of the dropped one family at their hotel and brought the rest of us back to the pick up destination. This was during holiday, an extremely busy time so it was difficult to get home. And we were dropped off at 11pm far exceeding the 5 hour time listed Overall, I would not recommend.Written 15 April 2024
- 534traceyd0 contributionsAverage meal - not in a real palaceBooked via booking.com. Sceptical due to the reviews. Taxi arrived on time and took us to our destination which was well coordinated. Food was average (starter was the best thing we ate). Entertainment was good but you were expected to tip each entertainer. Not a palace a restaurant called Palace. An average evening which you could get at any restaurant. Topped the waiters but the boss took the money. Not rushing back.Written 30 December 2023
- fiona h0 contributionsHugely disappointing!!Booked this experience with booking.com. Fashion Hotel organised the taxi which took us to the wrong destination and was adamant that it was the correct place. On return to hotel they phoned the palace and re organised for us to go the next night using our voucher. We arrived the next night and they would not honour the booking. Not interested in helping us in any way. Yet again, 4 Scottish grannies left stranded!!Written 21 October 2023
- L2064TFsandrar0 contributionsAwful and Not worth the time or the moneyBooked this place for the family and sure enough I should’ve read the reviews before booking. What an absolute nightmare. From the moment we arrived the staff did everything in their power to fleece us of money. They demand it. The food was absolutely awful. We were fed like children at a third world boarding school. The staff are so rude. The animals are badly treated it was sad to watch. They use those animals to get maximum profit in whichever way. As for the entertainment, what can I say it was a slippery slope from the beginning and it only went south thereafter. If you can please avoid at all costs.Written 3 June 2023
- Ky'mia's W0 contributions40th birthday dinner/celebrationI would definitely give my experience a 5 out of 5. It was amazing. I went with my friends and family for my 40th birthday. The hospitality was excellent from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend this. - elizabethnolsin0 contributionsBest Landmark in CasablancaOne best landmark to see and visit in Casablanca "The mosque Hassan II" Non Muslims can visit it and allowed to take pictures. Med V Square was excellent after I explored several old medinas (crowded). The mosque Hassan II was our highlight in CasablancaWritten 15 July 2022

They package the wrong carpet. Now I have a carpet that matches nothing in my house and I can not reach the store, all numbers on receipt are disconnected. No email address. - 805tamram0 contributionsMosque Was Closed on MosqueUnfortunately, the mosque was closed on the mosque tour. Would not recommend signing up for your until last minute to assure entry. Your consisted of looking at beach, modern architecture, shopping stops and anecdotes. Guide and driver were friendly and tried to make most of your. Lovely company but unable to answer many questions.Written 16 July 2021
- Patrick C0 contributionsAwfulNot worth it at all. Spent the entire time driving around in a car. Had a few stops to look at the sites. Not much to see in Casablanca. Just go to Hassan II on your own. The worst part was being taken to an authentic Moroccan art display... you mean a rug shop where they try to get you to buy overpriced rugs. Not worth it at all. The driver was great though.Written 6 January 2020
- lhassrick0 contributionsOverall funIt was awesome to watch the horsemen charge and fire their muskets. It gives you some sense of what battles felt like in the day. For me, that is what made the show worthwhile. The dinner itself was good. My girlfriend found out that when you order wine it is by the bottle. It is not possible to get by the glass. Bring your tip money if you choose to dance.Written 8 December 2019
- PatriciaBX0 contributionsDinner and so much more! The food was traditional the staff was friendly and worked hard. The show was fantastic and we got to experience a wedding. Great fun by all!!!Written 19 October 2019

This is a long day trip, a lot of which is sitting in the car, so bring some audio books. It is well worth the time and quite beautiful. Along the trip to and past the Atlas mountains, the landscape becomes more barren and arid, as it turns into a desert. The vistas stretch out as far as the eye can see and it is mesmerizing and can easily induce one into a blissful trance.
You will have a chance to walk in the ancient ksar of Ait Ben Haddou for an entire hour, exploring at your own leisure. Afterwards you eat lunch at a movie studio, where they take you on set and you get to see the city of Meereen from Game of Thrones! Turns out a lot of movies and TV shows are filmed in Morocco.
Afterward there is a bonus ksar at Ouarzazate to visit, before the long drive home. The driver was also the tour guide and he did a great job

Read so many reviews, stating its a long day, saying not worth it, we thought it was. We left at 7am and got back about 8.30pm. Plenty of stops, great to say we have travelled through the Atlas Mountains with great sights. Ait Ben Haddou is far better in real life than in the photos or YouTube videos. We had an hour here which was just enough time to look around. Then went to the film studios and had lunch at the onsite Hotel 'Oscars' before having a guided tour around the film sets. Lunch was included, very average and basic we all shared (6 of us plus guide) I think what we paid for the drinks paid for the meal. A can of coke 40 Dirham about £3.60 and Bottle of Local Beer £8. This is why I have scored 4 out of 5. The Studios were a real good insight into how sets are created, we really found it interesting, the high light was discovering that the Yemen scenes from Prison Break Season 5 were filmed here and in the town. Really glad we did it.
