- Heather220_10 contributionsDefinitely worth it!3 hours drive from Marrakech with a very conscientious & safe minibus driver took us to the starting point of our visit. A fantastic tour guide called Marwan brought us to the top of the waterfalls where we could take photos together & with the monkeys. Marwan was careful to warn off hawkers & give good advice as well as educating everyone about the Berber area. A stop to a Berber collective was optional with absolutely no pressure to buy. It was quite a long & sometimes muddy walk down to the bottom of the falls where you could get the little boat across but we chose the bridge but it wasn’t too steep or unsafe. Lunch wasn’t great, don’t order the tagine, the company should change the restaurant they book. However it was the equivalent of €12 each so that’s ok. Many steps uphill bring you to a few viewing platforms but there were older & slightly infirm people in our party & they all managed the trip with breaks. The scenery is beautiful if busy with other tourists (but we went at a busy holiday time so that’s to be expected!) Our guide Marwan was excellent, we were lucky as he’s Berber & very patient & spoke many languages. Overall this was excellent value & we got really lovely memories & photos from the day so I’d recommend it.Written 3 January 2025

- normantem0 contributionsTime to rememberThe place is amazing, the view is absolute breath taking. The guys take you all the way up and down the place so you get a full view. Also boat rides take you near the actual fall. Our tour guide Usef was brilliant and so down to earth. Also one of the best English speaking tour guides we had. Absolutely recommend the trip. The bus was spacious and well conditioned. As guide recommended be careful with the monkeys as they are unpredictable.Written 1 January 2025
- Vered A0 contributionsBeautiful site, poor quality tour guideOuzoud waterfalls are beautiful and worth a visit. Our tour operator picked us up on time. The guide at the location did not add much information. We were disappointed that neither the driver nor the guide used the time to share information about the history, geography, culture, geology of the area, and of Marocco. Three hours drive each way are a great opportunity to share this information. Same is true for the tour guide who simply took us from point A to point B (which we could easily do ourselves), and stated the obvious: here are monkeys, here are olive trees, etc.Written 31 December 2024

We made a two days trip for Zagora Desert from Marrakech. Youssef was our driver for the trip and it was very excellent, he made many breaks for beautiful panorama photos and stops for toilet. In Zagora we made a Trip with camels to arrive to the camp and we spend there the night. The camp was fantastic and the people there were fantastic: they made dance us around a fire with characteristics African music and bring us the a hill top in order to take a sunrise photo. In conclusion it’s possible only to use beautiful words for Youssef and the Camp people for they ability to make us spend a fantastic trip Zagora Desert
P.S. An important thing to remember is to preparare some backpack to spend the night in the camp because it’s forbidden to bring the luggages.

Abdo was an amazing driver, super friendly, informative and had great stop off locations for a quick look at the scenery (which you don’t want to miss!). The journey is long (as expected) but we had plenty of opportunities to stretch our legs and get out of the car just to look around and the car is super clean.
The kasbah Haddou UNESCO stop is as pretty as it looks in the photos. We had a local guide Lahsen (an artist) who’s family lived there so it felt very authentic. We learnt quite a lot about their culture, as well as their unique building techniques - I’d recommend this stop for sure as he was a font of knowledge.
The desert was the highlight for me. It was magical, from the pick up with our guide Mohan (not sure how to spell his name!) who was the friendliest man, checked on us regularly and took lots of photos for us. To the camels who were sweet and very calm. The music at night was fun and we had our go with the instruments. Nothing compares to the sunset and sunrise which were breathtaking, definitely force yourself to wake up for the sunrise! We were expecting a very bare bones dinner but the tagine was the best thing we’d ever tasted! It set the bar impossibly high in our opinion.
Would recommend this tour for a taste of the desert and a look around the different landscapes Morrocco outside of Marrakech. The nicest, friendliest team of guys!
Thank youuuuu 😊

Our Zagora desert tour was a wonderful experience. Our driver for the two days was Abdou. He was a gentle and kind man. During the drive, he took all the opportunities for us to stop and take photos of the magnificent region. He is passionate about his Berber culture and happy to share stories. Before Zagora, we stopped at Ait Ben Haddou. Our guide there was Hassan, he took us around the heritage listed Berber village and invited us to have lunch with his family home with Abdou aswell. After lunch we were amazed by a local artist Mustafa. He creates art using Berber materials, tea, saffron and orange juice (yes, orange juice) and brings the art to life using fire/heat. Then we continued to Zagora. We were very unfortunate with the weather as the clouds came in, but the rain was much needed for the area. Thereafter we met our camel leader Mohammed, leading us into the Zagora desert camps. The desert was very rocky and began along the road, however the sand dunes began to appear at the base of the mountains closer to camp. This was a spectacular sight! The camp caretakers were all wonderful. They were entertaining and friendly. All our meals were lovely. The camp is well looked after and had all adequate facilities (hot water included). We woke up with the hope of a sunrise, but alas, the clouds stayed behind. On our way back to Marrakech, Abdou took us to Ouarzazate before driving through the amazing snow capped Atlas Mountains and safely back to Marrakech. On top of all of this, we had this whole experience on our own. The first overseas tourists to camp in the Zagora! We're grateful to have the private tour, but would love to come back when the world opens again and we can share it together. Thank you to Ando Travel! YALLAH!

The journey was simply magical! Thank you to our wonderful driver who stopped at the most beautiful locations on the way to the desert! We also wanted to take a picture in the poppy field, and the driver fulfilled our little dream without any problems! The camp was very comfortable, the dinner was insanely delicious-tagine is my favorite dish now. Sunsets on the dunes deserve special attention, it was very beautiful and unforgettable. And at night we saw the most starry sky in our lives. Thank you to the guides, the driver, the Cheerful Bedouins for their drumming around the campfire. And to the local Moroccans for the fun company. Definitely one of the best travel experiences!🧡

Really good experience with Yussef as our driver. Expect a lot of the trip of riding in a comfy bus with AC. All the restaurants we ate at were great around 12 euro per meal. The camel rides were amazing packed with a nice homemade dinner and then a bonfire as we got to experience dancing and drumming by the people we stayed with. We ended the night with stargazing and woke up for the sunset. If you only have 2 days to do an adventure in Marrakech this is the best one!

Great first experience to discover the Sahara. The staff was very friendly and the stops on the way were interesting, and the landscapes at the camp well worth the journey.
And now for the negative sides... As often in Morocco, there are some hidden costs. Everything is slightly more expensive, for example the tour guide in Ait Ben Addhou is 30 MAD, not 20, the restaurant is 120 and not 100. And there's no choice of where you can go, and the price is double of what you would pay in Marrakech for a much lower quality. And the same applies to the return trip.
Another negative aspect is the complete absence of planning for the following day, everyone in the camp was constantly wondering what was happening and when, from the dinner time to what time to wake up in the morning to watch the sun rise and breakfast / leaving time.
So overall a positive experience, even though a bit more organisation and clarity would make this a much more recommended experience.

We booked this very last minute as we were struggling to choose between so many options of trips/companies to go to the desert with. I’m happy to say I can’t recommend Hamin’s trip more.
It is a very long drive but Hamin did many stops along the way to break up the journey. He was really accommodating to our needs and we learnt so much about Moroccan culture through speaking to him along the way.
The night in the desert was unforgettable and the camp was so beautiful and luxurious. All of the guides and locals there were so friendly and because of this we had such a special evening.
The food at the camp was delicious and really authentic, we were welcomed with mint tea and the offer of a cool shower before dinner. Exceeded our expectations in every way, thank you!

Had a fantastic time on this trip. Our driver Youssef went above and beyond and made the trip even better. I normally get carsick rather easily, however this was no problem as Youssef is an amazing driver. He would stop whenever we needed, when we needed to use a bathroom or take pictures, while somehow keeping us on schedule to see the sunset in Sahara.

The tour was an amazing experience during our trip to Morocco. Even though it is an intense ride through rocky roads the sceneries are breathtaking and all is worth it as you get to experience the sahara desert on the back of a Camel. Youssef, our driver, made the trip even better with facts about the places along the ride and many stops for panoramic photos. He was also a very warm and friendly person. Even the refreshment stops are interesting with fun characters, shops, sceneries and amazing coffee. One note for future travelers is that you should make sure to have whatsapp as it is the way they contact you for pickup and the itinerary before you start the trip. Also during the camel ride and the overnight stay at the camp (which is icredible to say the least) you leave your bigger luggage with the driver at the van and you carry what you need for the night on the camel. Ando was a great choice as the driver, the ride, the restaurant along the way and of course the great guys at the berber camp elevate the experience. Waking to see the sunrise in the dunes is an once in a lifetime memory!

Our driver/guide Mohamed Patat was amazing! He explained where we were and kept us in the loop about what we were doing next every step of the way. He was happy to let our group decide if we wanted to spend less or more time at certain spots and made sure we had time to take photos at some of the most notable points on the way. 7 hours sounds like a long time to be driving but with the frequent photo/toilet/water stops, the time flew by. The visit to Ait Ben Haddou was particularly amazing as we had a guide taking us round and giving us interesting insights into the place.
The desert camping itself was also incredible. The minibus was parked by a road and then we travelled by camel for about an hour to get to the camp. To be honest, one hour was a good amount of time on the camels as we found our legs and butts had just about had enough by then! We had free time after arriving to climb the dunes and watch the sunset and then had some traditional tea and snacks with one of the guides before dinner. The camp itself is very well-established. Our tents were very comfortable with proper bed frames and sheets and there were good bathroom facilities with toilets and showers featuring hot and cold water.
Overall an amazing experience which was well worth the money!
