I was on my own and wanted to discover the Moroccan south at a slow pace, so I contacted Légendes Evasions for a private tour. I had a beautiful 3d/2n experience, crossing the High Atlas, sleeping in the dunes at Erg Chegaga (much less "developed" than more famous Merzouga), visiting history-rich cities like Ait Benhaddou. I loved to be the master of my own time, being able to decide when and where to stop. In this, my driver Ftah was amazingly supportive, informed and helpful. I can surely recommend this trip!

We enjoyed two all day tours. One with Youssef to Ait Bennhaddou and the other with Tarek to the High Atlas villages and Arafat Desert. Both drivers quickly became our friends and were so easy to chat with. Nothing was too much trouble and both excursions were exceptional. The “wow” factor was well and truly present all day. The vehicles used were also brand new and extremely comfortable. Can not recommend these tours and Youssef and Tarek highly enough. Great experiences and exceptional value for money.

We booked a day tour to the Atlas and the Agafaye desert and Philippe was a perfect host. Very polite, communicative, flexible and attentive to our whims (we visited an unplanned berbère market on the way). Highly recommend.

We booked with them for a full day out and around the outskirts and landscapes surrounding the city. It was money well spent. A friendly, knowledgeable guide, well acquainted with some of the villagers and the various landscapes and tracks around the city. It was the best day our our short visit to Marrakech.

We spent a day in the mountains and the dessert. A lot of very different, fantastic landscapes. A very nice guide with a lot of knowledge. Wonderful day. Highly recommendable.

We had the pleasure of having a one-day tour to the Atlas Mountains and the Agafaye desert with Philippe from Légendes Evasions. He has a remarkable knowledge of the country, the history and the culture, and a very warm and caring approach to the people in the back country. When touring with him you really feel his love for the nature and for his job as a guide. He is absolutely fluent in English and native French, and has a very good knowledge of local language. The car is very comfortable and I highly recommend tours with him and his company.

Great day trip, saw loads around the mountains and sand dunes and was a really interesting day. Phillipe our French driver and guide was very knowledgable about the history and answered all our questions. He was very good at English and good at taking photos of our group. Fun trip and would definitely recommend!

We were a group of four met by our driver Yousef who had perfect English which made our trip even more enjoyable as he could tell us so much about his Morocco. He was very knowledgeable about the culture, agriculture,history & politics of the region & country. We had a busy day visiting the Atlas Mountains, walking through Berber villages including a visit to a traditional home, a visit to the women's collective to see how Argun oil is produced, the plateau, a camel ride & off road driving through the desert. We had a fabulous lunch at a traditional restaurant in Asni. We could not have asked for anything more as Yousef was always keen to see that we were having a great experience. We liked being a small group in a good quality car & not part of a big tourist group.

This tour company and the tour itself was recommended to us by Miriam at our Riad (Ambre et Epices) and she was so right! Philippe (originally from Toulouse) picked us up at the hotel and proceeded to drive us up into the High Atlas mountains, where we saw Berber villages and people, over the Plateau du Kik where we ate lunch at the fabulous restaurant at the Riad Oliveraie de Marigha in Asni and then into the desert where we had loads of fun driving off-road. We got so much out of Philippe's commentary and his knowledge of the area and the people was fantastic. He stopped whenever and wherever we wanted, and seemed to know everyone along the way. This day was the highlight of our trip without a doubt.

We were in Marrakech for a week, so we had time to explore a little further afield. We chose two trips: one to the High Atlas and another to the port of Essaouira. Both our guides (Tariq and Phillipe) were excellent and very good company. There are many reviews here which describe better than I could, the wonderful scenery and hospitality of the Berber people. But if you are thinking of doing a tour like these, it's really important to have a top quality guide, and Phillipe and his team certainly meet that requirement

In a single day starting from Marrakesh we visited parts of the High Atlas, including a Berber village, drove across 'the plateau area', lunched by Lake Lalla Takerkoust, then drove through the Agafay Desert. I had expected certain things of Marrakesh, but had not anticipated the stunning scenery that is within easy reach of the town. Our 2 guides were brilliant, giving us the benefit of their knowledge, not just on the sites we visited, but on the social, political and economic situation of Morocco. I totally recommend this company.

We booked two tours with Legendes Evasions. The first to the High Atlas with Phillipe, it was absolutely amazing and I cannot thank Phillipe enough for the care he took of my mother. I got her this trip for her 80th birthday and Phillipe looked after her so well and catered the tour to what would suit her, she loved every minute of it, drinking tea in the mountains with a wonderful Berber woman, walking through the beautiful scenery, lunch with views like no other, and not another tourist in sight. Phillipe helped to give her an experience she will never forget and for that I will always be grateful. The second tour we took was to Essaouira with Tarik, again it was a wonderful day out, Tarik was a fantastic guide who looked after us so well and chatted to us like we were old friends. We felt very lucky to have had Phillipe and Tarik and will always book with them when we return to Marrakech. I highly recommend Legendes Evasions, the transport was incredibly comfortable, they are genuinely nice people with great knowledge who go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your tour.

We used this company for 2 trips in February. There had been a heavy snowfall on the mountains so a couple of our destinations were unreachable, however, Philippe our driver took us as close as he could to see the view and offered other similar views too. He knew the country and customs well, and interacted well with the local children who joined in snowball games with us! The vehicles are all spacious 4WD, well maintained. The second trip was a 12 hour one, over the Tichka pass, where we followed a snow plough but our expert driver (Yusuf) coped with the very challenging conditions and got us safely through. Both drivers stopped for photos whenever asked, and we were never rushed. We were offered additional experiences (eg camel ride) but there was absolutely no problem if we declined. best of all, they do not take you to their mates' carpet shops (or any other shops unless you wish) so there is no pressure to buy.

We took two separate day trips with Legendes Evasions – one to Ait Benhaddou/Ouarzazate and the second to Essaouira. I would highly recommend them both. We had the same driver, Tariq, on both days, who was excellent: friendly, helpful, calm and informative. He went the extra mile, taking us to the fish market in the harbour in Essaouira, organising us a local, cheap lunch and even queued for us. He also sent us some great photos he had taken of us during the day in Ait Benhaddou/Ouarzazate. We were picked up at our riad in Marrakech and the 4x4 is nice and comfortable. The Ait Benhaddou/Ouarzazate journey from Marrakech through the mountains is long (over 3 hrs), but we were able to stop whenever we wanted and had lots of opportunities to take photos. Tariq was very flexible and we never once felt like he was pushy or taking us to places where people may try to tout us things (which can sometimes happen on tours). Thank you for a great weekend!
