- Global516963251210 contributionsSuper great tourSuper great tour! We were so impressed by how much information Samad (I hope I got his name right!) had, and how he could talk so much without so much as a drink... Only stopping for a small coffee in one of the gardens. Anyway, the tour was packed full of interesting tidbits about Marrakech and Morocco in general-- lots of historical data that he told in a very interesting way! At the end of the tour, my friends and I were invigorated and excited to explore more for ourselves. 10/10 recommended!Written 11 May 2024
- MDB2650 contributionsUnimpressedWe had booked onto a walking tour of Marrakesh for the morning of our first full day in the city, in the hope of receiving some history, some pointers and help us get our bearings. The directions were explicit enough and we duly went to the meeting point 5mins prior to the agreed meeting time. No guide arrived. We waited for nearly half an hour before departing. Later that day, when we got back to the Riad, we picked up on an email that had been sent a 1am advising that the trip had been cancelled due to there not being enough interest. We are not sure how many would have needed to have been interested for the tour to go ahead or how many others had been advised of the cancelation, however we were not impressed. The only saving factor was that no money had changed hands as it was Freetour i.e. you pay a tip for what you feel the tour is worth. No tour = No money.Written 7 April 2024
- P1787CLcristinam0 contributionsMost amazing tour ever :)We had the most amazing time on this tour. We walked the entire market, saw so many shops, kitties sunbathing in the windows and learned so much about the city and the people. The lunch was amazing and intimate just perfect for the two of us. We spent close to 5 hours on our tour and thought it was just the right amount of time. Would recommend to anyone.Written 3 April 2024
- OnAir657213604540 contributionsA Magical Day Exploring Marrakech's WondersFrom the moment I booked this private tour of Marrakech, I felt an excitement to explore the heart and soul of this vibrant city, and I must say, the experience far exceeded my expectations. The tour was impeccably organized, starting with a punctual and comfortable hotel pickup in an air-conditioned vehicle, which was a blessing given Marrakech's warmth. Our guide, a true local expert, was both informative and personable, sharing stories and facts that brought each site to life in a way that books and signs simply cannot. The visit to the Koutoubia Mosque was awe-inspiring, with its majestic architecture and spiritual ambiance, while the Bab Agnaou gate provided a fascinating glimpse into the city's historical defenses. The highlight for me was undoubtedly the Bahia Palace, with its stunning courtyards and intricate mosaics, showcasing the zenith of Moroccan craftsmanship. It felt like stepping into a historical novel, surrounded by beauty that whispers tales of the past. Exploring the food markets was an adventure in itself, offering a sensory overload of sights, smells, and tastes that are quintessentially Marrakech. The tour also included a stop at Herboristerie la Sagesse, which was an unexpected delight. Learning about the local herbs, spices, and oils provided insight into the Moroccan way of life and their ancient healing traditions. Lunch, included in the tour, was a delicious affair, allowing us to taste the local cuisine in a beautifully authentic setting. The afternoon was spent meandering through the Jardin Majorelle and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum. The garden was a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, with vibrant colors and exotic plants that felt like a painter's paradise. Our guide's flexibility and attentiveness throughout the day ensured we had a personal and immersive experience, adjusting the pace to suit our interests and energy levels. Ending the day at Jemaa el-Fna, watching the sunset amidst the square's lively atmosphere, was the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable tour. This tour was not just a journey through Marrakech's streets and landmarks but a deep dive into its soul, guided by someone who clearly loves and knows the city inside out. For anyone wanting to truly experience Marrakech, this private tour is a must-do. It's an intimate, enriching, and seamlessly executed experience that I cannot recommend highly enough.Written 21 February 2024
- 681hangd0 contributionsAn Unforgettable Culinary Adventure in the Heart of the Atlas MountainsFrom the bustling streets of Marrakech to the serene beauty of the Atlas Mountains, the Berber Cooking Class day trip offers an authentic dive into Moroccan culture that is both enriching and delightful. The journey began with a scenic drive, offering glimpses of daily life and the stunning landscapes that make Morocco a photographer's dream. Upon arrival in the Atlas Mountains, we were warmly welcomed by a local Berber family, whose generosity and warmth set the tone for the entire day. The cooking class was an absolute highlight, providing a hands-on experience in preparing traditional Moroccan dishes. Under the guidance of our expert host, we learned to cook a tantalizing Tagine, perfectly seasoned Couscous, and mouth-watering Moroccan salads, all infused with the rich flavors and aromatic spices that define Moroccan cuisine. What made the experience truly special was not just the cooking, but the stories and laughter shared, offering deep insights into Berber culture and traditions. Aside from cooking, the day was filled with activities that enriched our understanding of local life. We visited a traditional Berber market, explored the intricate process of making Argan oil, and enjoyed a leisurely hike through the mountains, each moment adding layers to our appreciation of this beautiful region. The tranquility of the Atlas Mountains, combined with the culinary skills we acquired, made this day trip an unforgettable journey into the heart of Moroccan culture. I cannot recommend this experience enough to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the local way of life, learn about traditional cooking methods, and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Morocco. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a first-time visitor to Morocco, the Berber Cooking Class day trip is a must-do experience that offers not just a taste of Berber hospitality but memories that will last a lifetime.Written 7 February 2024
- EmilyEveleigh0 contributionsGreat tour to get your bearings around MarrakeshWe did the free walking tour with Youness who was great. Really knowledgeable and shared lots of info on both the history of Marrakesh but also present day and gave some great restaurant recommendations. He was also really attentive when one of the ladies in the group wasn’t feeling well.Written 22 December 2023
- Wander7122670 contributionsAction packedThis had everything, culture, history, religion and context. Wonderful tour by Abdel who answered my every wide ranging question about Marrakesh and Arab/Berber culture. Safe guide around the markets with few chosen pit stops, many experiences unique to here. - 989hannahp0 contributionsAuthentic and amazing local experience! What an amazing tour. If you want to experience a little bit of the Moroccan rural areas, book! It was exactly what we wanted to experience. An authentic and eye opening market, wonderful views & a day spent with Malika & her beautiful family cooking a Tajine. Our guide Zakaria was wonderful, prompt, knowledgeable and charming. He had great rapport with Malika and the family, which made the tour even better. Zakaria we wish you well on your English exams & see big things for your future in the tourism industry! I had read a few reviews about the cooking element not being very hands on - I completely disagree! We were involved in every step of the Tajine making. Adding spices, cutting vegetables, making bread - The end result was very tasty. Cooking over charcoal have the Tajine such a Smokey flavour. If you are a hygiene/clean freak - this tour may not be for you. It is a very authentic experience & nothing at all like a western commercialised kitchen. We had no issues after eating any of the food. Everything was extremely fresh & delicious. I highly recommend this traditional and authentic experience. It was a day of my travels I will always cherish. Maybe take a book with you as the Tajine does take a while to cook! Thank you again Zakaria & MalikaWritten 12 May 2023
- Gysel S0 contributionsMommy and son trip-MarrakechSuper knowledgeable. Gave people their undivided attention. Took us through the sukes, market, spice shop, defiantly shared a lot of history and gave us pointers about being a tourist in Merrakesh ( how to cross the street and negotiating in the sukes). It was the best decision I made to book this tour before venturing off on my own with my teenager. It was his first time traveling abroad so our tour made my son feel comfortable.Written 20 June 2022
- ApigaB0 contributionsHighly recommended Marrakech Medina Guided TourWe booked a Medina Guided Tour with Morkosh Tours as we were not sure to know how to navigate through these narrow streets. Our guide Youness came and pick us up from our accommodation Riad, he gave us an overview about the day then we headed to Yves Saint Laurent Garden and Museum. We had skipped the lines cuz of Youness who had a special access to get the entrance tickets without queueing. Next we went on a comfortable van air-conditioned to LA Palmeraie Palm Grove, koutoubia Mosque, Bab Agnaou, Kasbah Neighberhood, Mellah Jewish quarter, Bahia Palace and the huge Souks markets labyrinth where Youness knows every corner and everyone. We had a great experience overall. We highly recommend new comers to book this tour as it's really shows Marrakech Medina in short time 1 full day and we wouldn't do and see al that even in one week though. Thanks a lot to you guys and how see you soon again.Written 20 June 2022
- Lisa F0 contributionsGreat walking tourWe did the free walking tour with Kamal. Definitely a great introduction to the Medina and the souks. The guide was a really nice guy and he gave us a lot of information. He also helped arranged a very authentic lunch in the souk after the tour at a little tangia stall. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.Written 25 April 2022

Our group travel around the world and opt for free walking tours, this is by far the best we’ve done. Our Tourguide was knowledgeable and honest about life in morocco and didn’t shy away from any questions we had. The tour brought us all around the Medina and through the markets where we got a taster of real life marrakesh! This is a must do in morocco!Written 5 December 2021
