- ginab7220 contributionsDefinite Must TryWe was recommended to do Mhidi Travels , and we are so happy we did , we met a lovely gentleman called Karim and he showed us the way and was very knowledgeable and we felt so safe with him throughout the 2 days . We will definitely return again soon xWritten 19 October 2023
- ryanbW2529BH0 contributionsOpportunity of a lifetimeThe tour was amazing. Im fortunate to have received this once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the Sahara desert. Going into the tour I was excited to a certain degree but any pre conceptions were blown out of the water when an idea became a reality. I was lucky to get Karim as my tour guide who had the ability to incorporate his knowledge into a comedic and entertaining atmosphere. For anyone unsure of whether the trip is worth it I would definitely recommend.Written 18 October 2023

- Ilbarbas0 contributionsOnce in a lifetime experience!!We booked online a tour to the desert from Marakesh for one night. We were two couples but none of us could imagine what a wonderful trip that would be. You should ask for Abdrahim (Abdul) the driver we had. He came with the car (a land cruiser) to pick us up from the riad early in the morning and kept us busy and happy throughout the tour by showing us the best spots for photos, taking us to see how the locals make the traditional pottery and visiting the place where argan oil is produced. When we approach the camp there were camels waiting for us that help us reach our beautiful tent which was magic!! All the people at the camp were very willing and polite. They prepared our dinner by the fire under the stars. The next morning we woke up in the middle of sand dunes watching an amazing sunrise. The ride back was also interesting as we went to Ait Ben Haddou and drove through really nice roads full of palm trees. At the end of our adventure we were all overwhelmed. It is really an once in a lifetime experience!!Written 23 April 2019
- Giota S0 contributionsIncredible 2days trip to desertWe are 4 persons and booked a private 2 days trip from Marackesh to Zagora. As our driver did not speak English, I emailed the company and they immediately arranged for us an extra guide that spoke English to come with us. During the whole road they tried to give us as many information as they could, they stoped to Atlas mountain to see how the argan oil is made, and to some other villages to see how the pottery and the carpets are made. In general they did our trip much more enjoyable, they were kind and took the initiative to change the place we would stay, as the new one was much better. The hospitality to the camp was really good, the foods very good and the tents very comfortable. Abdoul (our driver) was very careful, had experience, and despite the fact that he had flue he did more than expected. He was also very discreet. He stoped many times just for us to take a photo, and did various routes to show us more. Ahmed (the second guide) was also very friendly, always with a smile, and told us a lot of stories. The walk with the camels was grate as they arranged it to be during the sunset and the colours of the sky were beautiful. I recommend it and if you could ask for Abdoul (he speaks France) please do.Written 12 April 2019
- Jasys0 contributionsMixed bag - but hardly again with this firmWe have booked a private tour to Ourika valley, lunch and visiting an Argan cooperative on the way. Hence we expected a driver to give us additional insight on country, region, history etc. en route. Lured in by positive reviews we have booked with Mhidi Travels. Booking has worked out nicely. Driver showed up in a rather worn down SUV. During the ride we had the feeling that the car’s exhaust wasn’t working properly, as the exhaust gases seemed to come into the car. Though the driver was friendly, he only had a very basic command of English and didn’t provide any insights. Moreover he was speeding as if we were on the run. Positive: En route to the falls, we stopped at the AFou Argan Cooperative. A nice building, friendly sales staff where we learned a bit about Argan and left through the „gift-shop“ :-) Closer to the falls another Guide took over for the walk up to the falls. A very friendly gentleman, who prudently took care of us and - on the way also has collected empty plastic bottles that were left behind from previous groups Lunch provided locally was OK (tourist menu in Ourika Valley), but not really something to write home about. Overall a mixed bag. If we had not been lucky with the tour-guide in Ourika Valley it would have been a „no star“.Written 6 January 2019
- w0rldwidew0man0 contributionsNot-so organised private tourThe rating is not for the driver or attraction we visited but purely for the organisation of the tour done by Houssine. I emailed Mhidi Travel back on 11th October to enquire about the EXCURSION FROM MARRAKECH TO THE KASBAHS tour on the 26th Dec. Communication was good and prompt. We confirmed everything and paid in full (this was our preference). December 24th, two days before the tour, I emailed just to check everything was in order. Again, a prompt response saying everything was set. Everything looked promising. It seemed everything was off to a good start and we were looking forward to our tour. First of all, on the day of our tour, our driver was twenty minutes late. When he arrived we promptly discovered that he spoke almost no English and mainly spoke French. Before we headed off, he wanted us to complete a form but he couldn't explain what it was for (and to this day we could only guess ourselves but we scribbled our names anyway). It was a struggle throughout the trip (and it was a very long drive both ways) and just trying to ask for a bathroom stop or a chance to stretch our legs was difficult. The driver was trying to point out some tid-bit facts but with our minimal French, it was impossible to understand. We even tried google translate but that did not work as we think the driver was not able to read French but only speak it. To cut a long story short... Our enjoyment of the tour was diminished due to the fact we were paired with a driver who did not speak our language. The tour itself was great (visiting the Kasbahs was fantastic), the driver was ok (even better if you spoke French). We tipped accordingly as it was not his fault plus it was a very long drive. BUT the poor rating is purely for the lack of organisation. There really was no excuse for not getting an English speaking driver as I booked this very early on (early October). On top of that, it did not feel entirely safe because it was a long drive and knowing that you could not communicate with your driver if there was an emergency is not the best feeling. We definitely think you should go with someone else - probably a more reputable agency than this one.Written 5 January 2019
- 1hollyn0 contributionsJust booked my 3 day trip with Mhidi Travel. GouWe booked a tour for 4 people with Mhidi Travel and we haven’t gone on our tour yet until Monday 11/26. Houssine was very pleasant and nice through out the process of helping us booking the tour with 20% deposit via Western Union. We’ll write a more thorough review once we finish the tour. Could hardly wait!Written 24 November 2018
- Sofiya S0 contributionsMorocco with my momAfter months of anticipation for a trip to Morocco with my mom, I inadvertently found out our tour and accommodation package had not been reserved and the company did not have any availability until January 2019. We did however have airline tickets to and from Casablanca. In a panic, I scoured the internet for last minute options as our flight was scheduled to depart in 2 days. After countless calls and emails to every agency I could find - Mhidi called me back. I explained everything to him in a panic and told him how stressed I was. He was so calming and reassuring on the phone and told me he would take care of everything and give us the trip we had hoped for. The next day I had a custom itinerary prepared and booked. Mhidi was available every step of the way and eased my concerns. From the minute we landed, our driver/tour guide Nazih was helpful, friendly and punctual. This trip ( one week Casablanca to Fez to Sahara to Mountains to Marrakesh and back to Casablanca) exceeded our expectations. The level of comfort, safety and security was amazing and priceless in and of itself and then Morocco was beyond our expectations in the best possible way. Nazih highlighted the beauty of the country and added his own knowledge and expertise to make the experience even more memorable. He was patient, eager to show us as much as possible, kind and a genuinely nice person and a great guide/driver. We had an amazing time and Nazih and Mhidi really helped. Highly recommended! 10 stars!Written 15 October 2018
- dlphone2340 contributionsAll in all a great tourHad no idea what we had booked. Googling the ourika valley we just knew we liked the idea of an excursion to it. We stopped off at a small village along the way, visited an argan oil co-operative and a typical Berber mill house. Im not a great fan of guided tours but all in all I did get to see things I would have no chance of doing independently. Once climbing to the falls we were whisked too quickly through stalls clinging to the craggy paths but ensured we would get to stop and browse on the way down. My only gripe with this is that I was getting hungry and the snack stalls had really tasty looking bars made of nuts, or seeds. The amount of people charging up and down was rather alarming as the rocks were wet and the drops were huge, but it was a great climb and easy enough for kids, albeit lacking in any thoughts to health and safety. definitely entertaining to be in the back of beyond with stunning scenery yet with some of the mayhem and chaos of Marrakesh in tow. The falls weren't spectacular but the trek to the them was above and beyond anything I have ever experienced, well worth it. The meal on the way down was tasty, a bit pricey at 120 dinah, but it was 3 courses and drink, and enjoyable. All in all I was very pleased, the guide was helpful, and spent the whole time in the trek herding us with a head count, no-one was going to get lost on his watch. Tips: wear sensible footwear for clambering over rocks and streams. Definitely take snacky things and even a drink we got collected at 9am and did not eat until 3. The various bars made of nuts or seeds (like sesame snaps etc) were great but I wished Id been able to buy them and eat them before the climb to the fallsWritten 28 January 2018
- Hayat H0 contributions*** Absolutely Amazing 7 day TOUR around South of Morocco ***As we have had such a great experience last year with Mhidi Travel for a one day excursion, we decided to book again this year with them for a longer trip around the south of Morocco. We departed in Marrakesh and crossed the Atlas Mountains, Dades Valley, Todgha, Chegaga Sahara (highlight), Agadir, Toubkhal National Parc and so much more, amazing scenery. We saw snow, see and sahara all in one week, a lot of variety. Accomodation, food, all the activities were perfectly organised as discussed upfront. Our guide Omar was very friendly, funny and helpful the whole trip. We couldn't ask for anything more. Price/Quality, this was a total NO BRAINER. I would highly recommend Mhidi Travel and in the future I will definitely visit other parts in Morocco with them.Written 5 April 2017
- Shedrivesmecrazy0 contributionsGluten free, magical adventureI wouldn't have booked this trip if I hadn't been going with my mum. I would usually like to drive myself, go on my own tangents and detours and be far more active. I am so glad I did put my adventure in the hands of Mhidi travel and our driver Daoud. Although there was a lot of time driving, it was like constantly watching beautiful panoramas shot for a David Attenborough documentary. The continually changing and contrasting views and landscapes kept me pretty much constantly captivated. Daoud was flexible and patient when we wanted to stop, whether my mum wanted a coffee or I wanted to burn off some energy climbing up a hill. Whenever we stopped Daoud offered some interesting information about the landscape or the culture. The hotels we stayed at were small and friendly, the staff all had character and a genuine interest in making our stay pleasurable. I think every night something made me go "wow". The excursions we took and the shops we visited were all interesting, beautiful and/or thought provoking. My mother has to eat a gluten free diet, I took coeliac cards downloaded in french, English and Arabic. The company had called ahead to our hotels and Daoud ensured anyone serving us food understood our requirements. She ate really well and the only thing she provided herself was something to replace the bread and pastries served at breakfast. My mum has never traveled outside Europe, we both felt very safe and well cared for.Written 22 January 2017

- ferguscorkireland0 contributionsGood and badBooked and paid €41 each . Picked up at hotel and driven to the falls in a comfortable bus . About 10 people in total on the tour . Met with guide who had been arranged by the driver 20 dirham each ( worth it ). Taken to a boat to go in by the falls 20 dirham (worth it). We were then taken to a restaurant for lunch , didn't seem to have any choice in it or what we were having , tiny salad on a saucer for starter , share a tagine ( not a huge one either ) between 2, 3 small slices of melon for dessert and mint tea. 110 dirhams each ( Not worth it ) . The poor food and exorbitant cost of it took the shine off the trip . I would go again with the tour but I would refuse the arranged food.Written 8 June 2016
- Hayat H0 contributionsDream Day-trip to Ouarzazate! We came across the M'hidi agence in the center of Marrakesh, close to Djemaa El Fna. The first talk with Mohamed, the owner was so nice. He gave as a lot of information, but not in a sales pushy kind of way, but very engaging & interested in us and what we liked to do. A very personal approach. The day after based on the many many positive reviews already on TripAdvisor :-), We decided to book with his agency a private day tour to Ouarzazate. My parents and sister, the 4 of us. All logistics were picobello; great car, knowledgeable guide, perfect timing. It turned out to be a wonderful day, our guide Haddouz showed us all the must see things and stops often to get some great pictures. He brought us to a delicious restaurant to have lunch. Overall there approach is very personal, you don't feel like a walking mastercard to them :-). Highly recommend!Written 15 March 2016

We had an amazing four days in Morocco. Karim was the most attentive tour guide, and my girls and I really felt as if we had a taste of 'the real Morocco '.
We had wonderful food throughout our trip and some fantastic shopping. We brought home some fabulous pottery, perfume and textiles that Karim helped us bargain for. I feel like we may have paid a lot more had we not had such a knowledgeable guide.
The weather was amazing and the views just breathtaking.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this fantastic company and have already told all my friends and family what an amazing time we had.

I took this 4 day trip with my two kids (19 and 22) and we had a fantastic time. Abdul picked us up near our riad in the medina and we headed out toward the Atlas Mountains. We spent a fair amount of time in the car over the four days, but it was totally worth it as we were able to take in so much of the really magnificent countryside. Highlights included the night in the tent in the Sahara. Obviously, a tent camp set up for tourists, but really fun nonetheless. We ate a really good dinner in the dining tent and then the staff made a campfire and sang some traditional Berber songs. (We were there in late December so it was pretty cold in the tent at night. . . .) And, of course, the starts were fantastic. We had the good fortune of having our last night fall on New Year's Eve. The hotel prepared an amazing 5 course meal and arranged for 4 very talented local Berber musicians to play music for almost 4 hours.
Our driver/guide Abdul was wonderful. I always felt comfortable with him at the wheel. He gave us time at meals to be alone, but he was a total joy to be with. My son had just finished a semester of Arabic in college and he and Abdul talked together as best they could. Abdul always greeted us with a smile and made the four days a total pleasure.
