About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 938antriaa0 contributionsBeautiful cityEssaouira is beautiful! But quite a bumpy ride to get there from Marrakesh! Our guide did not give us too much information though, but he was kind and considerate. The tour was short, and we were not given options for lunch except for one restaurant, in which the seafood was delicious! I would have liked the stops on the way there to be more traditional, and not in a touristy cafe. The argan oil cooperative was interesting thoughWritten 3 October 2023
- Kelsey D0 contributionsPrompt, clean and simple to use.We cheekily used this to get to the town from the capital, basically like a car share. Excessive stops each way but granted this may be to cater for other people’s needs. Nice clean bus and prompt pick up. Lovely driver and friendly aswell!Written 19 September 2023
- davidlP266SI0 contributionsGreat Experience, Lovely DayWe had a great time at the waterfalls, beautiful sights and the monkeys were spectacular. Our guides were great and made the tour very interesting. The meal stop toward the end was at a lovely restaurant which served quality traditional food at a good price. Anyone going on this tour needs to wear walking shoes and must be prepared to walk about 6 kilometers on undulating group - you will need to be reasonably fit! Also the bus ride is quite long at about 3 hours each way so you need to be patient!Written 2 November 2022
- entertainment-team0 contributionsLoved itInformative guides and was great seeing all the monkeys. For the price i would definately recommend this tripWritten 23 February 2020

- alexdovan0 contributions"Super nice day!"Had to drive a lot with the car, 2 hours and 2 hours back. Once there a long walk down the waterfalls down where we could feed monkeys and view real Moroccan houses. You also saw how oil was made and explained everything about the olive trees. Then we crossed the river with a boat and saw the falls from up close. Super fun excursion and very nice guide!Written 27 December 2018
- Cecilia B0 contributionsBest value for priceI went to the 3 days/2 nights trip in Merzouga Sahara désert. It was a great experience with a safe and professional staff and confortable minivan. I highly recommand it if you have few days in Morocco.Written 7 July 2018

The guide was very helpful and very nice. The Berber house and it was very interesting!! And it was possible to buy a memories because there is a shop. The best moment was the camel ride ! We adored it !! And when we will come back, we will do it again !!! It is something to do, it's very good experience. We didn't forget this amazing adventure !! Thanks for all!! - Abdou M0 contributionsUnforgetable experienceWe only had time for a day trip, although our experience was so great I'd definitely book again for a longer excursion. The agency was quick to respond to emails, and very professional in setting up the trip. The driver was on time, friendly, and was an excellent driver- the mini bus was clean and we had no problems on the drive from Marrakech to Essaouira. The driver stopped at two destinations on the way for us to check out the argan oil cooperative and the goats in argan trees . We were given plenty of free time to explore once we got to Essaouira and then we took our camel ride on the beach, a perfect amount of time and beautiful background of the beach & dunes. He handled all of this with the camel handlers, all in all a very positive experience and perfect day trip. We would definitely recommend and book again next time :)Written 15 February 2015
- Natalia L0 contributionsAwesome experience!I choose to do The ourika valley Excursion with Around Marrakech- Day Tours, and have no regrets: it's amazing! By choosing this excursion you can admire great landscapes, you also have the possibility to ride a camel, and to try and buy many natural products in the visit to the argan's oil factory as well as to discover how a real berber village and house looks like. Impossible to define are the feelings provides by the climb to the waterfalls, which is very well organized and the guide very friendly and helpful. Also, we have enjoyed a really great lunch after the climb in a really nice restaurant neer to the river, while we were admiring the amazing natural environment there. So I just can highly recommend this one day excursion with Around Marrakech-Day tours, to everybody who wants to live an awesome experience in Morocco!Written 10 February 2015
- Andrea B0 contributionsAmazing adventure !!I chose one day in Ourika Valley, it was excellent: maroccans are very friendly and welcoming, especially the guide!. It's a beautiful place with some typical berberes villages, a nice river, many shops and you can buy some medecinal oils like oil of argan during the visit of the berbere factory. You climb to the waterfalls and believe me, you never forget this moment, and if you are lucky you can see some wild goats ... And the best moment during the day is the camel ride, you need to try !!!! So, Around Marrakech is a good touristic organization, oh and the best it's very cheap :) Thanks you for all, see you next time to try an another day tour !Written 2 February 2015
- ceciliaGriff0 contributionsThe best excursion in MarrakechI went to a great excursion to Ourika valley with Around Marrakech agency. It was very well organized and the landscape was very beautiful. We visited a typical berbere village and enjoyed a good lunch near the river, before going on the road to discover the waterfalls. The guide was also very friendly and knows perfectly the surroundings. I can only recommand you to go there if you want to see a beautiful place close to Marrakech!Written 26 December 2014

Wonderful experience.
Our driver/guide, Houcine was fun, outgoing and helpful.
First Day we headed down to Ben Haddou. Hot but worth the hike up there
First Day Hotel was above our expectations at Tinghir. Food was good. Room was clean.
Second day we headed out to Todhra Gorges. And a trip down to the Berber village. It was a nice and knowledgeable visit.
And then we finally headed down to the Sahara Desert. Camel riding was smooth.
The luxury hotels at the camp was also above put expectations. It had its private bathroom and the room was clean.
Houcine even stopped over in between the rides to show us fossils.

This 3 days tour was super interesting and the night spent in the desert is some kind of magic. The driver was very patient and really friendly, always available to satisfy our exigences or to take a picture when asked :). However the trip is really too long and exhausting. This is not the fault of the agency but about the conditions of streets, above all the 100 km in Atlas Mountain were only curves and i felt very bad after. Nonetheless to spend the night in the desert was amazing (and chilly) since we were able to see the milky way: breathless. Jamali, the driver during the way explained us whatever we were passing by, he was really great! Maybe i would suggest the company to cut at least on visit (for example the one in the farm of berber), since there is still a lot to see in the days. On the whole was really nice :)

Jul 2019 • Friends
I went on this excursion with my friend. And it was 100% the highlight of our trip to Morocco. We are from England and were welcomed by our driver picking us up at our hotel. The minivan was shared between 8 of us. We made great friends with Polish and Canadians. In July the weather in the desert was very warm so be prepared for that. They recommend you wear pants but I wore shorts on the camel ride and this was fine. All aspects of the tour were completely memorable. And would recommend this trip to those who are very mobile. The tours were amazing the crew were amazing. I would definitely recommend this for everyone. The majority of people on our trip were aged between 20-30 but there were members much much older too.
