Your day trip in the Ouzoud waterfalls Starts at 8:00 am from your accommodation in Marrakech. The trip takes about 2 hours and after you will enjoy a hike in the village of Ouzoud. Feel free to explore the area with a local guide: you will cross the green valley, shady orchards and traditional water mills, and meet the Berbers living in the mountains.
When you arrive at the huge waterfalls, you can see the waterfalls that fall back and forth forming a panorama of magic and rainbow. Tagines next to the water with beautiful views of the waterfalls.
Going up to the top of the falls, you will come across families of maggot monkeys, accustomed to tourists, who will welcome you in their own way! Your day trip to the Ouzoud Waterfalls will end in Marrakech, by dropping off at your place of residence.

Admittedly there is a lot of driving in this trip, but the two Mohas, who were our guides gave us a great overview of some of the great things morocco has to offer. Beautiful oasis villages, tours of famous places and great music. So the driving with all the stops as well as the great views that never stopped to amaze me didn’t feel so bad and long after all! This trip was amazing! Our drivers name was Mohamed Ait Ouaghlad and he was especially attentive and went out of his way to ensure that we had a great time. The waterfalls were beautiful and the monkeys were very entertaining, I can’t recommend enough.

Beautiful trip surrounded by greenery and Berber villages around the falls. Possibility to see machachi, but don't buy food from people nearby, poor quality and not suitable for that kind of animals... .better buy something like almonds etc. just in case. thanks a lot to our Hamid Guide who accompanied us!

The waterfalls look very nice, and the boat towers are very sweet, and try to get you as close to the falls as you can handle. Our guide was very kind and informative as well. Lots of shopping along the route. The food was just ok.

We had a private van take us from Jamaa El-Fna (the main square in the Marrakech medina) to Ouzoud; we left a little after 8am and got there by 11:15am or so. Ouzoud is easy: Our driver dropped us off, recommended a restaurant, and arranged to meet us back there at 3:30 or 4pm. Ouzoud is easily walkable, and (as our driver warned us), you DO NOT need a guide, so ignore all the fools trying to be "an official guide." You can go all the way to the bottom of the falls and all the way to the top, no problem. There are LOTS of monkeys and they are not shy. They mostly hang out on the upper terrace, and they will even jump from the tree onto your back! We also saw mommy/baby monkeys together. Our driver made things very easy on us, and we were back in Marrakech before 7pm. A great day trip!
One note: The waterfalls were VERY muddy (like a Wonka chocolate river) unlike many of the pictures on the internet, but that is ok; they are still pretty!
