About the operator

- Freewheelerjr0 contributionsGreat value for money !I had a great time during this trip! I feel like I got to see a lot of Morocco during this tour and I consider it a great value for money. Highlights include crossing the snowy Atlas mountains, seeing Ait Ben Hadou and of course the camel ride in the desert. Tour guide Ali and driver Salah were very knowledgeable about the area and were always ready to answer any questions. Tip: Don’t underestimate how cold the desert gets during nightime, I wish I would have brought a warmer jacket for the night in the desert.Written 12 February 2025
- rachidaT4660JF0 contributionsEverything is top notch, I recommend this.It was a wonderful trip. After we arrived in the Akfay desert, they gave us mint tea. After ten minutes, the driver took us to the camel ride and we dressed in desert clothing. Everything was wonderful. After spending an hour in the middle of the desert and enjoying the sunset, we returned to the camp and were welcomed by a musical band with Marrakesh and Berber tunes. Dinner was served, which was also delicious. At the end of the evening, the fireworks man concluded the fun as if it were a dream.Written 8 February 2025

The highlight of the trip was the night in the desert and riding on the camels. It was a beautiful camp, super comfortable, and had everything we needed. I was travelling solo and wanted to go to the desert to celebrate the start of the New year. When I started planning it for myself the planning quickly got daunting and expensive, especially at high tourist season. So I joined Youssef and a group of 16 people for the 3 days trip from 30/12 to 01/01/2024. This trip was everything I had hoped for and more. Youssef took care of us like we were his own family, going above and beyond to ensure everyone's comfort and needs were met. Everything was on time and following a precise schedule that Youssef briefed us on everyday at the start of the day and kept us updating us at every stop.
One of the trip highlight was visiting UNESCO's Heritage Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Here, Youssef introduced us to a local guide who was not only knowledgeable but also grew up in the Kasbah and still resides near it, which provided us with the most authentic insights into the site's history and current state after the recent earthquake. The guide was passionate for his heritage and indigenous language and practices which added a unique depth and perspective to our visit.
Youssef's attention to details and sensitivity to the group's comfort diverse culinary preferences was remarkable. When some members expressed dissatisfaction with the food served, he proactively communicated with restaurants to ensure upcoming meals were tailored to their familiar tastes, showing his dedication to our overall experience. The trip also included various activities like camel riding, sand boarding and memorable ones like attending the last sunset of the 2023 and the first sunrise of 2024 in the depth of the Sahara dunes.
Youssef also throw us a big party inside the dunes to celebrate the New Year 🎊 there was music, a huge camp fire, cake and even fireworks 🎆
This trip with Youssef was more than just a desert adventure; it was a journey filled with cultural richness, personal care, and unforgettable memories. I highly recommend this experience to anyone seeking to explore the desert with a guide who truly understands and respects both the land and his guests.

Good tour of the Moroccan towns and the Sahara desert! Lots of time on the road but had good views of the terrain and towns of Morocco, and plenty of bathroom breaks too - sometimes you have to pay and there’s no toilet paper so be prepared. They take you to lunch spots to buy yourself and dinner’s included and quite good, but usually pretty late. Like any tour groups they will take you to restaurants and shops that probably operate on commissions, and you can usually find the same food/items in nearby places for a lot cheaper.
The desert was my favourite part with the camel ride, sand boarding, and watching the sunset and sunrise. Be prepared to have your legs hurt after the camel ride, shoes filled with sand after walking in the desert for 10 seconds, be freezing at night and at dawn even in the tents, and be sleep deprived on the last day. We couldn’t quite see the stars too clearly as there’s still a lot of light pollution from the camps and neighboring towns. The moon was also way too bright for the stars to shine, but we did get some cool pictures with the moon in the background. Personally I did not enjoy the ATV rides as it seems a bit anticlimactic, and I preferred the connection with nature on the camel.
The guides were enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and it’s respectable to see how they work diligently during these long and hard hours in the midst of Ramadan. They are usually fluent in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Arabic. They do make jokes and tease you so be prepared for some high energy interactions with them. There’s a lot of socializing opportunities and you do get plenty of time with your tour groups and also people from other vans as the itinerary always overlaps.

Great! The entire tour was very well organized, the hotels and meals were great and Said the driver was very friendly and attentive at all times. We have enjoyed it very much and we recommend it 100%, totally worth its price.
Some things to keep in mind if you are looking for recommendations:
- We traveled in winter so we spent a very cold night in the desert, we were not very prepared although the camp had very warm blankets. Also, the places we passed through on the tour are much colder than Marrakech, keep this in mind and pack cold clothing. We wore a layer of thermal clothing and light jackets and it was not enough. In the afternoon it warms up a little but the mornings and nights are cold.
- On the last day we rented the quads in the desert which, in my opinion, was the only activity that was not very worthwhile for me, it was very little time and we all had to go in a line without being able to speed up much.
- We would also have liked to have booked one more day in the desert and spent the second day enjoying the sand, bringing snacks, etc.
- During the trip they suggested a couple of places to buy turbans for the desert but I would recommend buying them in Marrakech, they cost us €8 for large ones and they were cheaper in the city. Also during the tour there is not much time for shopping although we saw high quality and very interesting things. If you want to make a purchase, I would suggest thinking about what you want to buy because you will have to do it quickly.
- In the description of the tour it says that the meeting point is a cafe in the main square but they have written to us a day before to pick us up near the hotel, with very clear instructions for which we were very grateful and upon return they were dropped off at a halfway point to walk to our hotel.

Morocco and its places are truly surprising. I had a good experience, but it was hampered by the company in question. I requested the tour guide in Spanish, however, the tour guides did not know Spanish and they only spoke English or French. They switched me to a partner agent who, by chance, was doing part of the itinerary with a group of Brazilians and so I spent two days with this group (which was good for me, as I'm Brazilian). When we went to the desert, I had to return to the group that spoke only English, as the itinerary was only the same up until that moment. Then, upon leaving the desert, they transferred me back to another car, where I returned with a third group and the guides also didn't speak Spanish. Anyway, the visits were good, but the experience with the company not so much. I believe that if you have fluency or ability with the English language you will not have any problems and you will be able to make the most of the experience. Unfortunately, I was thrown from group to group, so I didn't really like these constant changes, apart from the difficulty in understanding between me and the guides. Tips for those going to Morocco that are not on the website: 1) Try to bring cash... most places cannot pay with a credit/debit card and some places that do, cannot do so due to lack of internet at the time; 1.1) They accept euros in cash as payment (on-the-spot conversion is 1 euro to 10 dirham). It's not worth exchanging the Brazilian real for the euro and then for the dirham, but for those coming from Europe, it might be good to know this; 2) Lunch meals cost between 120 and 160 dirham, with drink. I recommend taking around 180 dirham for lunch to give you more peace of mind and in some places you can have an ice cream; 3) Bring some extra money to buy scarves or traditional clothes or anything else you find interesting. Scarves, for example, range from 6 to 60 dirham (it depends a lot on where you stop... good guides know cheaper and good quality places); 4) The price of water is generally 4 to 6 dirham for small bottles and 10 to 12 dirham for 1.5 liter bottles (the tour makes stops at places to buy water and go to the bathroom); 5) take some medicine for digestion. Moroccan food is very good and powerful in terms of seasoning, so for some it may not suit well (this would be more of a precaution); 6) Don't forget your sunscreen and try to wear light clothes (except when riding a dromedary, as pants are recommended).... the night tends to get cold, so it's a good idea to bring a coat too.

Our driver Abrahim was driving as if it were a formula 1, we almost had an accident with another van (of which he did not apologize to anyone of the 18 people who were on the bus), he barely speaks good Spanish and when you ask him about something he answers you with very bad answers.
On the first day in Ksar de Ait Ben Hadu was angry with us because we wanted to visit the village on our own, they force you to take a tour (without informing you beforehand) with a guide who barely lets you stop to enjoy, makes you buy in a souvenir shop and charges you at the end of this one. They also make you go to eat compulsorily in a restaurant for 10-15€, with no option to eat where we wanted (It is not included and there are others for 3€); not to mention the scare we gave when we returned to the meeting point at the agreed time and not see the van (they had moved without warning to another point, telling the rest of the group that it did not matter where we were).
On the second day you are also forced to eat at a buffet for €12, in this case there is no other restaurant, as it is in the middle of the road in the middle of nowhere.
Another of the groups tried to charge an extra night in the desert (saying they would see if they came back or not) and on the way back from Marrakesh there was a change from Riyadh to 30 mins from the Medina (without first reporting) after 10 hours of busing you do not need that beating to walk, when the Riyadh of the first day is in the middle of Jemaa el-Fna square.
Were it not for the incredible experience and the wonderful places we saw within the wealth and probrence (villages, dunes, camp, hotel saharan pearl...) it would be a 0/0, but in this case 9/10.
The hotels/jaima are basic 7/10 (somewhat cold at night, I recommend carrying sleeping terms and shower towels).
Breakfast and dinner at both places quality/quantity well.

Our teens 13, 16 really enjoyed it as much as us. 1032kms made easy with beautiful sights & experience. Mohammed the guide & Younus the driver were polite, well mannered and brilliant. Spoke multiple languages fluently.
The journey has plenty of well timed breaks. Excellent and well mannered guides at key locations. Ait Benhaddou and the TudrA gorges were beautiful. Late October provided us with a ideal climate between 12-25c.
The food was decent, we found it bland and recommend a bottle of pickles if you are a spice lover.
A true dessert experience in Merzuoga. Camel rides 5km / 1hr either way, our luxury tent had very clean toilets and hot water!! Berber music to finish the evening and some of us paid extra 40-50euro for quad bikes and other on a camel in the morning for desert sunrise which was stunning.
Exhausted on a long journey back, the effort pays off.

We started the tour very early at a central point like El-Ef Naa Square, from there we picked up other travelers in hotels around the area. Our driver Mustafa and our guide Hassam, both very friendly throughout the tour, attentive to the requests of all travelers, giving clear, concise information and always willing to give more of themselves. On the first day we made several stops over very nice sites, I have to say that they are all points with commercial interest but it does not feel like the market with pressure to buy. When arriving in Tinerhir the hotel is very comfortable, beautiful views but smells everywhere of tobacco which makes it more difficult to fall asleep for non-smokers. The food at all stops was hearty, typical of Morocco and there was always a vegetarian option. The Tougdra gorges are a must, there we had another guide, the information in Spanish of acceptable quality, there was a great rush on the walk, little space to take the photos, a wonderful place, the group was divided several times as some stayed taking photos or buying things. From there we went out to lunch a very good standard price (120-130dh) + drinks. Then we stopped at another location to buy the turbans, pashminas to cover your face in the desert and we got henna tattoos for free. Then we made a last stop at a gas station before the camel tour; this was a beautiful experience by the nobility of the camels (suitcases are moved to the camp by 4x4 so as not to load the camels), it is a tour of one hour (3 km) away space to take photos, when we arrived we sandboarded, saw the sunset and talked to the men who carry the camels, all Berber, smiling, very friendly and cheerful. We move to the rooms, the camp is beautiful, the rooms are spectacular and then the food was very good, comfort in the middle of the desert surprises, it is very cold and the beds are well equipped to spend the night well. They did a musical show, we shared a while, everything very nice and if everyone wanted to go to do stargazing that is beautiful and for photographers a paradise. In the very early morning we leave to see the sunrise and again all the time to take photos, make videos and the nobility of the camels and their serenity. The return journey is long but they make stops every two hours or if there is any urgent need before. Lunch on the last day was buffet and the only bad thing was that we were in a hurry because it was freezing and we ate on a terrace partially covered by tents.
To consider to improve from some external providers of the tour, absolutely recommended. I suggest you know the weather so you don't have a hard time.
The experience is definitely spectacular, it is all worth doing, the company was responsible, punctual, respectful and super reliable

I was really looking forward to visiting the desert, so booked this trip for our time in Morocco. The whole experience has been so fun and informative. We went in February so it can get cold in the evenings and mornings, so check the temperatures and bring lots of layers.
All of the staff and people working as part of the trip have been so friendly and welcoming.
The hotel on the first night and the food on the trip was ok.
The desert camp was great, we booked a private tent with shower. The water in the shower was warm in the evening, other people on the trip said the water in the morning didn't heat up, so recommend showering before bed.
There is a lot of traveling on the mini bus as you drive from Marrakech to Mourgouza, it was good we had WiFi and we made plenty of stops for breaks and lunch so it was comfortable enough.
I enjoyed the sunset in the desert and sunrise camel ride the most. Wear comfortable and warm clothes for the sunrise camel ride 👍🌞 I would recommend this trip as you get to see and experience a lot of various places and at good value.

I enjoyed the sunset in the desert and sunrise camel ride the most. Wear comfortable and warm clothes for the sunrise camel ride 👍🌞 I would recommend this trip as you get to see and experience a lot of various places and at good value.

The experience itself is good. A nice way to plan your trip to the desert without too much banging. The price is great. Good food (although you always eat the same 4 things).
Long journey but well marked with restful breaks.
The guides are friendly and answer any questions and needs, even if not particularly active on explaining more than the program of the trip.
Good first night hotel, room with private bathroom and possibility to drink cocktails at the bar.
From a naturalistic point of view nothing to say. If you are a little careful and do not sleep during the trip, you will enjoy exceptional views and especially not found in Europe. The Todra Gorges are perhaps the most underrated attraction in the reviews, they are truly beautiful.
Aid Ben Addou is another very interesting site and the guide is an extra but it is very cheap.
Perhaps the sore note is the desert itself. It is not quite as you imagine it (isolated and peaceful), but it is an expanse of dunes on the border with Algeria of about 5x20km, very beautiful to see but densely populated by tourist tent camps. We had the impression that it was all built specifically to attract tourists. The sunset and sunrise views are very beautiful but you certainly do not have the impression of being outside civilization. The stars are not that well seen because the lights of the field remain on so there is always light pollution here too.
Parentheses about Berbers: they are as nice as they are money-related, and on various occasions along the way they will try to sell you stuff (very nice eh), with a rather pressing attitude. The Berbers are about 60% of the Moroccan population, live mainly inland and most of the guides are ethnic Berbers.
Globally: the experience is absolutely worth the ticket price and the extra expenses are few. It is good but not very good for the reasons mentioned above. It is globally tiring because you are always on the road and the alarm goes off early for 3 days in a row.
If you are looking for something comfortable and well organized this experience can absolutely do for you. If otherwise you are looking for something special and untouristy, it is certainly not for you.

Wonderful experience discovering the desert.
Our guides, Hassan and Younes, were always precise in their explanations and available to answer all our questions, as well as excellent drivers. We felt in good hands.
The van is comfortable and spacious.
It was nice to share the experience with a small group of 12 people with whom a good relationship was immediately created.
For the price spent it is absolutely worth it. This includes nights, dinners, breakfasts, petrol and some visits to intermediate stops.
We arrive in the desert on the second day, starting with a camel ride, then taking a short break to admire the sunset and go sandboarding.
Then we arrive at the camp, a real gem.
The tents are large and spacious and there is electricity. However, during the night the generators are turned off.
Furthermore, there are shared bathrooms and showers outside.
After the delicious dinner there will be a drum show around the bonfire, where it will be possible to try playing.
The next day it is possible to return by camel or quad (€40 single, €50 for two), which I highly recommend!
If we really want to find negative things, I would say the lunches, which are nothing special, with only a fixed menu option, and the fact that every now and then you feel compelled to buy.

Can I see some pictures with the private tent with sky view? Is it worth to buy the private experience?

Hi, I bought the tour a few minutes ago, but unfortunately I didn't receive an email or an order number. Can you please help me and tell me whether you received the money or whether the payment didn't work? That would be very kind. I booked the tour for Friday for two people and I'm afraid that I'll book it twice if I try again. Kind regards, Florian

Hi, I read that the return would take around 10 hours. Is there a quicker way? Could I stop and spend the night somewhere half way? What are the options for people that go to the tour with suitcase? We would be a group of 5 women. Could we have our own tent and private bathroom?

Se podría hacer la reserva para un grupo de 17 personas e ir todos juntos si hago dos reservas por separados (una de 9 y otra de 8)?? He visto que deja máximo seleccionar 15 adultos en una misma reserva.

When does the trip end on the last day? Is it possible to make an evening flight out?
